Safari infecting virus

I use Yosemite on my iMac. I kept getting messages to download new versions of Flash Player, then Java, etc. I hit one of those that you are a lucky winner screens and could only get rid of him by quitting Safari. Finally, I gave think what he can do. The answer was a lot. A major virus which Mackeeper then offers to help you solve. Who live. What a scam. Bottom line is my Safari is pretty well useless pages covered in ads. What is my best option here? What do I need to reinstall OS10?

Click here and follow the instructions, or if it is not a type of adware is covered by them on the computer, these. If you would rather not remove it manually, you can run rather MalwareBytes for Mac.

MalwareBytes is a removal tool and does not stop adware or other malware from entering the computer. For effective protection, do not download software from sources other than the Mac App Store or Developer Web sites.

  • Free anti-virus is this useful?

Is a free anti-virus with a value of use on any PC?
Because I know spyware and viruses of days now are developing every day, steal or damage to our PC.
I want to know what is the best to use.

Should I get a licensed software that is reliable like Norton, McAfee, PC Tools, Live One Care etc. or get a free anti-virus, because a lot of people say it's better that it detects a wide range of viruses, spyware and can repair our PC etc., better than Norton, McAfee, PC Tools and Live One Care.

In these days of multiple and different types of infections (virus, Trojan, Malware, spyware, etc., you need more of a bloated anti-virus Security Suite to protect you.

The big 3, Norton, McAfee and Trend are trying to be everything to everyone and fail miserably.

You are much better running of more specialized programs, particularly for the Malware/Spyware removal.

I recommend a combination of the following 4 programs:

    Thank you

    Hi kelvinj117,

I can't tell you which site is, but this isn't a legitimate site for Flash Player.  Google Chrome identifies is as a site phishing attack:

If something keeps popping up in this it is likely that your system has been infected (virus, adware, malware).  You'll want to scan your system for virus/adware/malware/etc.

I tried dective used drive and Regcure but A first, I don't want to pay for it. and (B) he said he fixed, it did not work.

Secondly, I disabled the games using the windows start/stop feature and he turned his back, but it did not work.

Third, I tried three different points on the two system, does not work either.

So I decied to the message here on what do I do

    Mamabird,
To start that we need a few pieces of information.  What version of Windows are you using? If it is a new PC has that ever worked?
If it never worked so I would contact the manufacturer of the PC for repair under warranty support.  Right out of the box, you should not have any errors.
You said you used Regcure.  I would caution using registry cleaner type programs.  Some of them may do more harm than good.  You also said: "Thirdly, I tried three different points on the two system, does not either' what do you mean exactly by that?  You perform a system restore?
What anti-virus program do you have?  Have you checked for infections virus\malware these last time?  If you are not currently using an antivirus, I would suggest you look at this thread: get rid of malware

  • network64

HP has a network64.msi driver?  The name of network64.dll virus exists.  How to tell the two apart in the registry of the window that says that network64?

    Hello oldandslow,.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that your anti-virus has reported network64.msi as a virus and you are curious to know how to tell him apart from a version infected virus in the registry. The network64.msi is a file that is installed on a HP Photosmart installation so if you have a printer HP Photosmart deletion it can interfere with the functionality of the printer.

I'm including a HP support document: HP and Compaq Computers - solve and prevent viruses on your computer, which offers a wealth of information on the virus prevention and removal.

  • Side-by-Side error Vista

    Hello

Our windows Vista (Business 32) (which has never had problems before) starts to go crazy a few days ago (I think it happened after a Windows automatic update a night). I've seen a few posts about similar problems regarding CIHI but none that I found are the same as ours. At this stage are the things that no longer works:

ITunes (Itunes is not installed correctly. Please reinstall, Windows 7 error 14001)
Microsoft Office, all Applications (this file has not a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set Associations control panel. And after this error from coast to coast)
AVG anti-virus (would not at all and reinstall has not defined)
Adobe Acrobat and all attachments won't charge via Internet Explorer or Opera.
QuickTime (side by side Configuration is incorrect. Please see App the event log for more details)
Windows Messenger (side mistakenly side also)

Event Viewer when opened says "MMC could not create the snap. The snap can not been installed correctly. Name: CLSID Event Viewer: FX: {etc.)

I would try to reinstall Vista, but the CD is in another country still waiting in a box shipped so not really be an option for the time being and all our wedding plans (6 weeks) are on this computer, so we can not lose anything (not that we can load anything without office). Have also tried reinstalling all the separate programs, but just to get the same error.

I tried SFC/Scannow and discovered errors, but he could not fix. I tried to update Vista through the Windows Update tool, but it gets updated 3 reboot and then reverses all the updates that are saying that they could be updated and restoration of the changes.

I tried to reinstall C ++ and update and delete the 5 and 8, but no difference! Also I tried the system restore, but my restore points are 3 days ago and it happened before that date. Try to fix dl now

Thanks a lot for your help!

    daniel8822,
If the SFC/scannow found problems cannot be rectified, then the next step would be to perform an inplace upgrade or a clean install (both in need of media).  With, which seems to be, the sudden appearance of these questions I suspect strongly some type of infection virus\malware could be the cause.  You can try an online scanner.  Here are some links with lots of info on malware\virus removal:

I am running vista Home premium with service pack 2 installed. on 13 November, the mentioned updates did not work.

When I try to run windows updates, the computer crashes looking for updates, and every time I try to close the screen says drivers updated (or similar) and then gets stuck and never turns off. I have to turn off at the powerpoint

What should I do to fix this (if they are connected, but I guess they're as it happened right after the download) ps KB915597 has been successfully installed at the same time

    see360,
First thing to do is to ensure that your system is free from any infection virus\malware.  Here's a thread that has a lot of good advice for this: get rid of malware

You should then try to download and install the updates manually.  You can do this by accessing Microsoft Support , and then search the KB #.  There will be a link to download the file for manual installation.  Save it to your desktop and then run it from there.

  • How to really disable Windows 7 updates

In Windows 7, my Outlook stops working every time the computer updates. I tried to reinstall Outlook, nothing helps. Then I disabled updates. Annoyingly, although updates are completely disabled, my computer still updates frequently, and I now restore the system to 2 - 3 times a week just to be able to use Outlook.

I would like to know if there is a way to disable really all the updates in Windows 7.

Also, if anyone else knows Outlook failures with updates, is there a solution?

    Bubbaloop,
I agree with Palcouk and think there is something more grand underway.  The first thing you should look into is the possibility of infection virus\malware.  Take a look at these items for some great information:

If you determine that it is there were\are no infection I would say running the following tools:

    Jamie,
If you still experience this problem then there are a few things you can try to start with and also some other information, we could use.

    We need to know things:
What version of Vista and what service pack level.
The game that you are trying to read.
    The full error message.

    You can try things:
Make sure that the program is compatible with Vista. Windows Vista Compatibility Center
Make sure that there is no infection virus\malware.  This thread has some great information: get rid of malware
Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic and make sure that it is not a problem with your RAM.
Perform a clean boot of your system and then run the program.
Make sure that your graphics driver is up to date.  Update a driver

The scan below only works on the 32-bit version of Windows
