  Did you run two KB917607 patches?

  If not, then run two patches and check if that helps.

  I suggest that you run SFC scan on your computer.

  Analysis (sfc) System File Checker will Windows replace corrupted or missing system files on your computer.

  Scan sfc enforcement procedure:
  1. click on start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator.
  2. click on continue or provide administrator credentials if prompted.

  Do you mean the command buttons from Toshiba which control the WMP function such as play, pause, stop, etc.
  On some Toshiba laptops, Toshiba command buttons can be configured manually.
  Please check in the control-> Toshiba Panel controls.

  Good idea! tried, found that only required keys to enter codes XP work. No rest.  I tried to enter a code for w2000 or maybe 98 not sure.  found my XP COA and it worked.   You can try the following.

  Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

  Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

  Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

  You need VAP (value added package) and utility of Flash memory card Support.

  I installed VAP and utility Support Flash Card which are released for other series laptop because my laptop is older and Win 7 tools are not out on my model.

  However, I chose the VAP and Support of Flash Card Utility for L500
  It worked.
