Sam 1710 does not start!

Satellite 1710xcds running Millennium os which is dead and won't be awake!
Work OK with plugged power cable then suddenly died!
I've checked everything, but only thing I found was that power cable showed signs of having been crushed or pinched, so I have it straightened out and got the computer will, but he then died again and does not start! No lights or beeps or any indication of movement of HARD drive, just nothing.
Any suggestions welcome!

Hello

Try to remove the battery for a short time and try again.

When it works again, you should try to reinstall the tool of your Tools CD!

In the end, you can try to do a cover (but backup your important data before doing so because everything will be erased). If the laptop has failed even after a recovery then something is damaged and you should communicate with a
Service partner!

I have a 10 year old black Macbook, which does not start when a battery is installed.  If it is connected without battery installed, it lights up, but if there is a battery in it, even if it is plugged in, it will get the startup sound and the screen of the Apple gray, then turn off.  I got a new battery and charge it where the charger turned green, but the results are the same.

  • Firefox does not start (not safe mode), but uses the CPU

I have the latest Firefox 25.0 (and the last Flash 11.9.900.117) on Windows 7 and the following behavior is reproducible. It started not too long ago.

At first when I launch Firefox, nothing appears no matter how often, I restart. I see in the list of the process firefox.exe to 25% of the CPU, 2 x FlashPlayerPlugin_11_9_900_117.exe (CPU 0%) and plugincontainer.exe. No matter how many times I killed all of them, would not restart Firefox.

The following also not help in this situation:

    • Starting in normal safe mode: Firefox opens a window but immediately freezes and does not respond. The process list shows the same process even if I find the unexpected FlashPlayer.
    • Disable plugincontainer: same results (just without plugincontainer.exe)
    • Uninstall Flash: Same results (just without FlashPlayerPlugin)

The following can start Firefox only once:

    • Starting in SafeMode but select "Reset Firefox": Firefox does not start right away, however. Nothing happens, and you have to kill the process. However the very next time you launch Firefox in the normal way, it works fine (but it shows FlashPlayerPlugin.exe in the list of unopened Windows process despite the tab). Unfortunately, after closing Firefox the process (Firefox, FlashPlayerPlugin) are not deleted. I kill and the problem with Firefox do not leave reappears.

  • The browser does not start after you have turned off and turned on the computer

The browser does not start after you have turned off and turned on the computer. I tried to remove the program entirely (as well as personal preferences), to create a new account, install a different browser versions. All this has not helped. (I have Windows 7). Help, please! Every day I have to reinstall Firefox!

Hello Nastena, try a clean reinstall, some Firefox issues can be resolved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you Remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    • Also check if your antivirus or other access security software (firewall, antispyware etc.) blocks firefox.

I tried to remove the carpet and replace in - where he had accidentally unplugged-TI was not the case.

    What should I do now?

I saw the same problem last week.  For me, it was a Windows update that cannot be installed until I did a "SHIFT + Shutdown".

This completely off the system and allowed the Microsoft update must be installed.  After that, everything was back to normal.

To do this: hold down the SHIFT key and do a normal shutdown of the settings menu.

You must hold the SHIFT key down all the time.  During the closure, I saw a message on the screen indicating an update of Windows is applied.

    I hope this works,

  • Still 2 WT10 does not start

    Hello

My Encore 2 WT10 lights. I updated the bios to 1.4 via the USB port. It does not start after the upgrade. The screen remains black. I can load and reload my mobile phone via the tablet or a USB Hub to power. If I press the button for 30 seconds, turn off the USB device, press the button again turns on USB power. But the screen stays black, no screen BIOS or Windows, no audio or USB data connection (or other signs of life).

I think that my tablet is in soft-power-off mode. How can I hard-power - off the shelf without removing the battery internal?

Try to open the BIOS/UEFI tablet settings by following these steps:

Press and hold the volume button at the same time by pressing the button for a few seconds. Ideally, this will open the screen of the BIOS/UEFI. Once this is done, make sure that the settings are correct or restore the factory settings.

If that does not help, then additional assistance may be required.

In a similar way a lot, the splash screen appears where you can recover your tablet from an image that you created previously (recently) or in the worst case, reinstall Windows.

Also keep in mind that between reboots, a 10-15 minute interval may be required (don't know why, but it helped me dealing with errors in the past).

My impression is that the BIOS 1.40 was already installed in the WT series, so some models have been improved to 1.60. BIOS should normally updated via WIndows Update or Toshiba service station.

    Hope this helps

Well, it does not exactly where are the horsemen of the bios and I can't ask the user itself, so I'll ask here.

Is there a way to make a bios hard reset on a toshiba x 200-21dts... all the seams of material to be fine, the only thing is that when I turn it on everything starts working for 3 seconds and then everything stops, the only left lights on are the one cable and one powerON...

And please do not advise I take my toshiba for repair in a store because his old 30months, I didn't have any problems with it and I'm not spending more money on it!

    Thank you!

    > And please do not advise I take my toshiba for repair in a store because his old 30months, I didn't have any problems with it and I'm not spending more money on it!

Well, I put t know what you expect then
Is that the laptop does not start, and you do not see the start of the BIOS or Toshiba on the screen screen
This means that there is something wrong on the motherboard
Maybe it s RAM problem? Maybe the CPU is hit?
I put t know why you say the material seems to be fine, but I'm not 100% sure of the internal hardware

There are a lot of jumpers on the motherboard, and unfortunately I have no idea that that rider might be responsible for BIOS...

My laptop Toshiba does not work...

At the present time, the lights went out, I don't know how...

It means that the laptop is break down?
I hope not, because I don't want to spend more money with that... :(

Is there someone who could solve this problem?

Thank you very much, long in advance,
    Raquel

It is not easy to solve these questions, because nobody knows what is the problem. It may be BIOS related issue or some other hardware related issue.
It's that there are not a lot of options in this regard.

You can try to remove the battery and unplug the power supply, press the power button / stop for a while and try again with power running. The same thing happens again?

    > The lights were on, but the laptop does not start...
You hear cooling ventilation? When the laptop is turned ON it turns off a few seconds later or stays, but without any reaction simply?
