Same Folio for iPad and Android?

Hello

I created a Folio, (1024 x 768) in InDesign.
And I created two multi apps like booth for her question.
> one for iPad
> one for Android

Both apps are live in the store.

But some how only the display of the iPAd shows my Folio.
Observer of Android remains empty

Is this a problem of dimension/size?
Do I really make another file-/-Folio InDesign for the Android Version?

Unfortunately, you cannot change the format of an existing folio. I think that at this point, your best bet is to create a new custom folio of 1028 x 771. Because this folio has the same 4:3 1024 x 768 dimensions, you can add or import all of your source documents in this new folio without having to change the source folios.

  • Use different accounts of DPS for iPad and Android versions of the same application?

    Hello

When to create a version of a DPS iPad app Android the account used to create the content (the 'title ID' in the DPS application Builder) are the same for both versions, or different? In the content viewer I know that iPad content will appear the same on Android, so I think that the answer is probably no, but I failed to find it mentioned in the Adobe documentation.

    Thank you

    Toby

It depends, but generally the answer is that you want to use a different account for iOS and Android. Not all features are supported in iOS viewer supported in Android Viewer. For example, if you use panoramas and specific views web iOS in your articles, you'll want to be able to use a different content for viewers of Android. Search for "dps supported features" for a comparative table.

I use different Application accounts for my applications. I use the feature of sharing/copy to transfer the folios of the account iOS on behalf of Android (or Windows). Then I remove the few items that don't work well in the viewer and replace them with items generated from the different source files. Which works well and does not require much additional effort.

If you want to reduce the amount of black strips the viewer of Android, you might want to use different accounts and use, for example, 1280 x 800 sheets instead of 1024 x 768.

  • Best video format for iPad and Android

I tested DPS on the iPad and Android, and I can't seem to convert the video into a format that will run on the iPad and Android devices. I have no problem with the iPad, but nothing plays on Android so far.

If I test the video of the guy on the bike with the DPS tips app works on the iPad and my Android device. No one knows what settings were used on this video in particular?

    Tony

If you are looking for a fast, easy, solution download Handbrake.

Videos created with the work of iPhone/iPod screening perfectly on all devices that ive never tested. For tablets, the iPad preset works well but sometimes will not play on small Android devices.

I went through all my Handbrake videos until I add to InDesign (or my sites)

  • MUSE does support the creation of native apps for iPad and Android?

I'm a big user of InDesign with the manufacturer of simple editing app. That service is being discontinued may 1 and I'm hunting for alternatives to create native applications that are heavy-design with other methods. I need to know if Muse can offer something like this with the help of PhoneGap.

    (1) can create native applications with Muse?

    (2) this applies to Android and Apple?

    (3) don't Muse work with PhoneGap, or is there a more direct way for the launch?

    (4) can you tell me tutorials explain precisely how the foregoing with Muse?

    Thank you very much

  • Folio for iPad 2 and 3 - multi app problem?

We have just finished creating an exemplary application for the iPad, download the folio in PDF so that it is compatible on the iPad 2 and 3. However, despite having chosen PDF, interactive features such as buttons and scrollable text blurry on the iPad 3.

So, we've created another interpretation specifically for the iPad 3 now.

My question is, when we create the app, it will always be only one question or it comes to seeing multi there is now 2 refunds? Or what if refunds are for iPad and Android?

    Thank you.

If you try to create a simple editing application, you have two choices to deal with this:

    (1) create a multi-resolution article.

    (2) publish a single store SD and HD editing application.

See http://www.adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/building-multi-rendition-artic les.html for instructions on how to make #1.

  • sizes for windows, ipad and android

I'm starting a DPS project to publish on ipad, Android, and Windows.

I understand that we can do a 1024 x 768 that works on all platforms. Android and windows adds black bars.

Now, we want to minimize the black edges to get a better display quality. We can create a 768 x 1024 for ipad and one 800 x 1280 for Android and windows.

I think not good or do I do it differently?

    Concerning

I think Neil meant "800x 1280"on Android. " 768 x 1024 misuses the Android screen real estate in almost all cases.

  • Resolution of ipad and Android

    Hello

I wanted to know If this is correct !?

I have to develop a magazine for IOS and Android.
I created a specific version for iPad (1024 x 768) and the other for iPhone (480 x 320), while I chose 1028 x 771 for Android that I read there would be more easily compatible with most device () as read in the old forum in this blog).

    Is correct?

In addition, iPad pdf format (1024 x 768) et iPhone (480 x 320) pdf format, while Android I understand that does not support PDF so I'll use jpg.
    Is correct?

Because in android app crash and close immediately at startup.

    Thank you

Please make sure you use our new native Android, not the old legacy Viewer Viewer. You can create a native Android Viewer by going to http://appbuilder.digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/. It supports everything the viewer iOS does, including phones and articles in PDF format. For content, the best thing to do is to simply reuse your folios iPad and iPhone. They will be letterbox on Android devices, but will always make good. If you really want to make a presentation customized for Android we suggest 1280 x 800.

Remember that only you can create an iPad app using your simple editing solution (which is included in your subscription CC). So you need a Pro or business of DPS version to be able to create a Android version.

You can create pop-ups in InDesign using slide show options and a multi-state object. But it's all manual work, then you're going to spend a lot of time on this point, also depending on the layout of your design.

  • Preview on the camera for iPad and iPhone for Windows?

Load on the Adobe servers and download my folios on my iPad are very time consuming...

As a Windows user, I feel your pain. It's something that came under discussion last week, in fact, with my colleagues. I can't promise anything, but we realize the limitation.

  • Digital Edition for iPhone and Android tablets

I am an Adobe CC member and could successfully publish an Apple iPad App on the App Store. Now, I would like to publish for iPhone and Android tablets. I think that's not possible alone with the CC from Adobe. Need me for the professional edition?

Ueli Mattenberger, VMA Media AG (Switzerland)

Yes. To do this, you need pro or Premium.

  • Do a folio for iPad created visible on non-comprimes

    (1) I'm creating a folio that is supposed to be played on the iPad using InDesign, but I also want it to be visible in a browser web (I think embedding just a SWF file?). This is my first so I don't know exactly what I have to do at the end I found some tutorials that keep me from start to finish for the iPad version, but I don't want to make a working group and then lose the functionality of the web version. I'd also be interested to know what features I would lose if I tried to convert it to HTML5.

    (2) second question would be how can I spread the folio if I do not need to go through the App Store. I share with a known (small) Group of users. The research I've done leads me to believe that I have a hand out of the individual instances of the APP business license. Is this correct? I'm on adobe CC.

    (1) there is no way to do it as an edition single user. You can create a folio for iPad, but that's all.

    (2) if it is just one or two people, you can share the folio with them and they can use the Adobe Content Viewer and an Adobe ID to connect and see.

  • Creating applications for iPhone and Android

    Hi guys

    I make my way through:

Professional Mobile Flash development: Creation of Android and iPhone Applications - by Richard Wagner

I decided to make one app for iPhone and Android in Flash Pro

I understand that it is a different game for each platform, but I was wondering if anyone here lived in app making use of Flash has any advice to develop for two platforms with minimal changes to the code - it means not having to change your main base code too and Moreover, what you find you should not change between platforms?

    I am particularly interested in catering for different size screens. Ideally, I'd like the app to stretch to fit the screen for example great iPhone/iPad/Android etc, but keep its proportions. But I noticed in the demo applications in the book, you stipulate the window for example;

    private const VIEWPORT_WIDTH:int = 320;

    private const VIEWPORT_HEIGHT:int = 480;

So if you are stating the size of the window, how release you an app on the Apple market that will satisfy both iPhones and iPads?

Thank you for your time and sharing your experience.

I have experianced the situation, I searched a lot to find the solution.

    Just use stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.ShowAll.

SWF step will be in Center and scaling proportion regardless of the size of the screen, and use the additional area beyond your swf width and only for the width it is called area of security that will be used in the screens.

We did it and no problem at all for any kind of both Iphone and Android device.

  • Is Adobe Reader for iOS and Android Support with Solution PKI encryption?

    Hello

I searched for an answer if Adobe Reader for iOS and Android can read PDF files encrypted by infrastructure solution to public key (encrypted by a public key, in order to be decrypted by the private key pair), but to date I have not found the answer.  From the Adobe web site, I understand that Adobe Reader for Android supports to read a document encrypted with AES256 but it does not mention on PKI.  I had to guess it does not support encryption with PKI, but I would just get a formal response and would like to know if Adobe Reader Mobile will support it.

    Thank you!

    Masaya

Unfortunately, it is still not supported on mobile versions of Adobe Acrobat DC.

    Thank you.
