No, it is not possible.  All bookmarks saved on the homescreen will launch the browser on your site with all the chrome browser.

  • WebWorks app with part without head

    I'm devolopping a webworks SDK-based application.

I want to develop a plugin that communicate with a native service without a head.

I used the sample of The Headless Service sample that shows how to create a long service life without a head.

Also, I used the model of the creation of a plugin of cordova for communication between JavaScript and native part.

2 samples of separately work fine, I have not found how to configure make them work together. I mean How to invoke the service without a head form Javascript side.

As BlackBerry Webworks Extension Native and native headless service project have the same structure of project, I don't have how to configure my Webworks and my native project without head to communicate with each other.

    Help please?

    Hello

WebWorks 2.1 has a «create headless» CLI command This operation generates a sample application in which the momentics project built directly in the project WebWorks. It illustrates invocation of WebWorks for headless.

  • BBUI & 2.0 Webworks - just don't get it

    Hello

Although I have never developed before that I'd like to think that I can follow a few basic instructions. After trying to get a bar single action appears on my Q10 for over a week, I gave up and decided to charge the samples on my device.

If I create a project webworks and then copy the contents of the sample BB10 folder in my www folder I wouldn't be able to see an app to work samples? All I get is a blank white screen.

The examples BB10 folder contains the BBUI.js, BBUI.css, index.htm (plus all the htm additional files), images, js and css + subfolders files and config.xml file. Looks like everything I need is here.

Hope someone can help me understand this and get something... anything on my screen.

    Kind regards

    Tim

EDIT: I am running OS 10.2.1

    Hi Tim,.

I would check the 'standard of BfB for bbUI '. There is a version that works on WebWorks 2/Cordova there.

You will have all this BB10 UI right out of the box, and it will probably save you a ton of time.

There are instructions for details on how to build the sample (quite easy, just need to add plugins for most) as well.

  • How to handle shared extension webworks reference library

My webworks extension uses a shared reference library.  The library module is deployed with an agent java application on the device already. In case of native java application, other applications that use this library shared do not overload the library during deployment.

In the case of webworks app, seems that I have to put the library jar file in the root of the webworks app to be able to compile the web extension to bbwp command. However, after I deployed the cod file, I get prompt the class in the library has been defined in several.

Is there a way to not wrap the library with the webworks app file?

I got response source RIM on another thread of e-mail and it workd form me. I post the answer here to share.

The recommended method for distributing webworks extension is to copy the source in the ext of the webworks SDK folder. This will allow you to use a single code base across multiple use of a same extension. How to distinguish a pot for the inclusion of a compile-time only jar is with an additional label in the library.xml for dependencies.

  • WebWorks Javascript can be disabled at the Corporate level?

I have a 'company' BlackBerry that I loaded some sample applications WebWorks on and it seems that the javascript in the application does not run.

I know that the "Enable JavaScript" option for the web browser is disabled and locked (at the level of the enterprise).

This browser setting affects the WebWorks applications?

Is there another setting that would disable JavaScript to run in an application WebWorks?

    Thank you...

Yes, the setting of it strategy to disable JavaScript in the browser also affects applications WebWorks.

  • Get Facebook OAuth sample - birthday

I got the example of Facebook with samples of WebWorks works very well.

I want instead of saying hello "name"! user's birthday will appear instead.

    So I change line 101 oauth.js of...

    showMessage ('Hello' + data.name + "!");

    TO

    showMessage ('Hello' + data.birthday + "!");

When I try this I return undefined for birthday. How to go to the user's birthday?

Solution is to add user_birthday to line 53 allowing the application to access this data...

    Window.Location.Replace ('https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=' + facebookOptions.clientId + ' & redirect_uri = "+ facebookOptions.redirectUri + ' & scope = read_stream, publish_stream, user_birthday'");

  • HTML content sharing - the context of Invocation and Facebook

    Hi all

I would like to share content to Facebook HTML using Webworks and the framework of the call. No problem with a text/plain content, but I need something more... do you know guys if it's feasible or not?

I saw no examples on this subject or on the official documentation on Git...

    Thank you very much

    -marco

    Thank you, good

If it is not currently possible with the framework to invoke. You can share either text or an image. Not both at the same time.

The only solution I know is to manage sharing using OAuth. It's just a little more work to use the invoke framework but will work. We have posted examples to use OAuth for Twitter and Facebook that would probably be a huge help in this case.

  • How to use the API

Hello everyone can tell me how I can implement google map in my application?

Which API is available for the implementation of the google map?

    Hello

The best answer is to take a look at our sample app (s). I wrote one that shows you how to work with maps (Google, Bing, flyer, open layers).

Here is a link to the example: https://github.com/blackberry/BB10-WebWorks-Samples/tree/WebWorks-2.0/Maps

  • Facebook integration

can someone help me with this... Please provide some examples a bit... so it won't be easy for me to understand... I want just one button in my application after clicking on which bb browser opens with facebook page...?

    thnks in advance

If I understand correctly, you want a button to open the browser at http://www.facebook.com, is that correct?

To do this, you can use the framework of the call to invoke the application of the basic browser:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/beta/browser.html

You can find the generic format of an invocation here:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/beta/sending_invocation.html

When you can plugin target, MIME type, action, and indicated such URI in the first document link above.

To make it all together, check the example of code under the invoke API:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/beta/BlackBerry.Invoke.html#jbo1385148798527

If you are looking for something more complex, like authentication with Facebook, Github samples would be the best starting point:

  • any transfer of api files

I am building an app that would charge a server img,

I want to be cached so I wont have to search each time.

but I don't know how to do this.

I prefer to store these files from within my app cache / data directory.

    for example:

    $home/data/cache1.jpg

    then set the img element

    IMG. SRC=$home/data/Cache1.jpg

    but I can't get the $home / data access.

is there a solution to this problem of "hiding"?

    Thank you.

    Essentially:

Sandbox = accessible only by your application.

Outside of the Sandbox = everything, including (but not limited to) data/approot folder. In addition, this includes downloads, camera, etc. shared, the majority of the system files and folders.

Indeed, blackberry.io.home has some problems with where it points and our WebWorks team works to implement the local: / / Protocol for this type of access.

In the meantime, he is actually a sample of Cordova and WebWorks FileTransfer available here now:
    https://github.com/BlackBerry/BB10-WebWorks-samples/tree/WebWorks-2.0/fileTransfer

There are four main function combining operations Cordova/WebWorks and Upload/Download, where you can see how blackberry.io.home has been mobilized. Currently, it's change as follows:

    blackberry.io.home + '/../app/native/MYFILE'

  • creating applications with service headless webworks

I created an application with some headless webworks by following this tutorial:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/v2_1/creating_a_ww_app_with_headless_app.html

but after having imported the native extension (service without head) in momentics IDE. When I tried to build the project, I got this error:

No rule for target "device-Debug".  Stop.

just for the record, when I try to create a new extention webworks, everything is ok and I can build my extension. However, I can build the project imported native extension Webworks.

Is there something I missed upward?

No it's not something that you screwed up - it is a bug in the SDK. The Makefile that comes with the SDK is removed somehow so you can not build the native part.

The WebWorks team is already is studying and working on a fix for it.

Meanwhile, Don Turner provided a work around in the comments on this tutorial page.

  • Ask questions about the elements of access on Blackberry Webwork sample

Hi all, sorry for such a newbie question, I would like to ask something about the elements of access after im read the sample application blackberry on blackberry html5 webwork site and im find access element script like below

I would like to ask what is the meaning of this script? IM usually use the site name, and this is the first time that I have, see

well thank you all answer :-)

The * character is a wildcard character, which means that your application can access the resources of any URI, not just another specific.

  • Question of WebWorks bbwp order - sketchpad sample code

I try to compile the code sketchpad_sample.zip using bbwp tool provided in the SDK WebWorks.

I changed the name of the zip to touch2.zip because the tool does not like the name "sketchpad_sample".

Compilation fails for some reason, someone has an idea why this might happen?

I think I solved the problem, at least the Packager compiles the samplecode now.

To resolve this problem, I created a new virtual machine using a 32-bit version of Windows 7. This has lead me to believe the WebWorks SDK is not supported in a 64 bit environment.
