Samsung Galaxy s3 as a modem.

I jut recently purchased the Asus x553m and it uses windows 8 (don't know if its windows 8.1 or not). I tried to use my samsung galaxy as a modem/hotspot s3. I tried to connect my phone to my new laptop with a USB cable and it recognizes my phone is here, but I have no internet. I also tried to connect wireless to my computer and it shows the wireless connection but when I try to connect, my computer says I can't connect and there may be something wrong with my phone. I don't think that's the case because I used my Samsung S3 as a modem/hot spot on my old computer that uses windows 7. I never had a problem with connecting to the internet via my phone then the time would it with a USB cable or wireless. I would like to know if there is a solution to this.

If I understand correctly, you are not able to connect your computer to the WIFI Hotspot you created using your mobile phone.

This problem may be caused, if there is no window recommended or optional updates are not installed, the antivirus on your computer firewall restrictions.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

  1. You can set up a wireless connection on your computer Windows 8 outside the hotspot connection?

I suggest you follow these method to solve the problem.

Method 1:

Install Windows updates and optional updates.

Steps to install windows and optional updates.

  1. Press the Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, select Windows Update.
  3. Install all Windows and optional updates.
  4. Click on historical update to check updates pending or failed.

Method 2:

Disable the Windows Firewall and antivirus and recreate a Hotspot connection.

Note: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

I also suggest you to remove any unused computer WIFI connection and connect from the access point.

    The latest version is ver.v1.4.6.0 out June 19, 2012.

    I recommend you to please update the USB drivers on your computer and check if it helps.

I just bought a new cell phone Samsung Galaxy S5 and received an email with a Word document. When I tried to print the document, the screen showed the printer such as password protected. I've never set a password for the printer, and as I stated above, I can print from my IPad. I saw instructions for other readers of this forum with similar problems and solutions, after completing a few steps, was to push the WPS button on your router after going through some configuration steps on the printer screen and linking the two.

    The problem is, I have a Qwest modem and there is no WPS button. How is it, I can print from my Ipad without password and not from my cell phone.

    Are they (Samsung & printers) on the same network? Please use Play/Goodle store, search for "HP AiO Printer Remote" and install it on your Samsung. You can also use 'HP ePrint' app to print from your Samsung.

    My samsung galaxy ace s5830 was a 10.2 cyanogen mod version (compareable to 4.2.2 android). but it was not compatible with the real version ff for android. then I upgraded to version 11.1 cyanogen mod (compareable for android 4.4.4 kitkat). but the real version ff for android isn't always compatible wirh this hardware/software-configuration. download game google store is always denied.

    my questions are: is usually run on versions mod cyanogen (custom rom) with my samsung galaxy s ace 5830 ff?
    If no, which is the lowest (oldest) "samsung galaxy" - series, where I can download ff for android, and what version of android it takes me at least?

    That old phone of 2011 is ARMv6 cpu that is no longer supported.

    from Firefox 31.0 support for ARMv6 was ignored, because only ARMv7 and Intel x 86 is supported.

    The patent office uses a PDF file without a download link. There is no plugin Adobe Reader for Android. If I don't have a work around.

    The mobile Firefox 26.0 published on 10 December and is on Google game now takes supported mobile chipsets Intel x 86. You don't need to test beta versions more in order to use Firefox on Intel as Galaxy Tab 3 tablets.

    I found the problem!

    The culprit was Add-ons. If I remove all add-ons, firefox works fine. If I install adblock, it crashes. I have not tried with other modules at length, but I don't think that adblock doesn't do anything in particular.

    Firefox does not warn users when an add-on will cause problems of this kind?
