Sansa e260 will not light

My sansa e260 lights.  If I connect it to my computer or docking functions fine... it is only if it is not connected to anyting that turns any.  I get all the lights or any type of answer from him when I hold the power button

Could be your battery does not have a good connection or he is dead as the proverbial nail holder. When the drive is connected, which shows the battery indicator? Is the bolt of lightning driven falshing? The battery icon to see the green or white?

You can check the connections (and review any corrosion on the terminals) by removing the 4 screws on the back. Make sure not to lose them in the carpet, because you can not just go out and buy more from your hardware store. Remove the back and lift off the battery. It slides just in & out as a cell phone battery; nothing to merge or unplug. Discover contacts spring and look at the battery casing for any signs of leakage or corrosion.

But you will also have the chance, even if you do not notice something out of the ordinary. The simple procedure to remove the battery for a short period of time and then replace it actually ensures a system of re - configure on the device, it can be triggered just for you after reassembly with no indication as to what was wrong.

If you determine that you have a bad battery but or don't want to risk buying a new to try it you can find them on Amazon.com or eBay.

    Hello

I just got my new sansa e260 and after it loads for a day and a half, it not light. I tried to hold the power button for a long time, but it would not turn. When connected to a pc, it says 'connected' and shows that the battery is charging. I can browse files, etc. However, if I unplug the PC, it goes dead.

I tried to update the firmware, but it fails. I changed the settings of the MTP to MSC USB device with no luck!

Any idea what's going on? All the solutions out there for this issue?

If you just bought the camera, it is often simpler to contact the vendor for an Exchange, as most have a return policy that covers just this kind of question.

Because it is often faster and more convenient for the customer, SanDisk recommends this solution first of all, in the interest of you up and running quickly.  The retailer can then send the device to SanDisk on their end.

The process of return of SanDisk is great, they pay even the return shipping costs.  The only downside is that it can take a few weeks (total).

  • Acerc720 screen is still very low and will not light

I have an Acerc720 that has been discontinued (student), and now the screen will not light up. I tried the suggestion of recommended powerwash here and also checked to see if the function keys have been activated (not an easy thing to do with the dark screen). Nothing helps so far.

    Any other suggestions?

Connector to cable/LCD CHEK the EDP as thos:

    1. Unscrew the screws of the bottom
    2. Drop the bottom
    3. Disconnect the battery from the motherboard
    4. Remove the LCD Panel
    5. The LCD connector is located in the Middle under the black ribbon. Check if it is correctly inserted.

If this doesn't solve your problem, the LCD is faulty.

  • Curve Smartphones blackBerry 8330 will not light

Hello I had my Blackberry Curve 8330 on my Verizon plan for 2 months and the trackball fell and the phone now will not light. No, he is not dead. I loaded hours (the light turns while loading) and yet the phone still turn. Please help and thank you

Leave the appliance to charge on a wall charger, then, still connected to the cable, remove the battery from the camera for a minute and reinsert. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage). If it is not restart on the first attempt, leave several hours. I had a charge for two days before, she came back to life after extreme exhaustion of the battery. Every 3-4 hours with the device plugged into the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it restarts.

  • Sana e260 will not appear.

    Hello

Like many here I formatted my Sansa e260 and quite accidentally in NTFS. When I am home, I tried to put music, after safely removing the device the player gave me 'not enough space for music DB. "Please free 6 mb ' message. I know that I have to format it in FAT - 32 again and I'll have to put the firmware in there, but when I connected to my computer once again, he refused to appear.

I've set it to both of the MTP and MSC and tried both ways, when PSG is on the "player is to not install correctly" and MSC does not give me a boo anything. In short it will not be displayed at all ever now under 'my computer', while if I check in Manager and find the device, it is connected. but a 0 space at all on this subject. as if it isn't actually a to all removable storage device.

I wonder how I'll reformat and bring the thing back to life. Is this possible or am I just wasting my time and now have to buy a new player?

I don't know which, where information would be found on the drive? The 'version' on the news of the player (because it works a little longer) bed "Version 01.02.18A" the player was bought in 2008, according to me, if that's any help.

This confirms that you have a model/version v1.

See this post on the use of the Mode of recovery and create the file "sansa.fmt". I hope it will work for you.

  • E260 will not connect to the converter

When I plug my e260 and open the Sansa Media Converter, it tells me there is no available player and please connect my player. I don't understand why the converter will not pick up my mp3 it just stopped once when I wanted to put more music on this subject. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the converter, but that does no good.

Finally, I read the usermanual today and her say a word on the drive with the firmware update, so it works correctly. Could it be the problem? Do I need to insall the firmware to fix it, or is this not the problem? I'm naïve about this stuff so I don't know what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It may be useful to get the new converter from here.

The version of ArcSoft was bad Sansa embarks a converter by Intervideo.

When install you a new one, first see if it connects. If not, go to Settings/Info/USB Mode and switch to the other mode. (If it's in MTP, switch to MSC, or vice versa.)

In addition, check and see which version of Windows Media Player is on your computer. (Right click on everything). If it is 9, go to Microsoft and get a newer version than the Sansa needs. Try this link.

It may be not the right one for your computer, so if she does not have a Windows Media Player, go back to the home page of the Support of Micro$ oft and look in the downloads for Windows Media Player 11. I think that the Microsoft site automatically checks the operating system of your computer to give you the right WMP.

  • Satellite L500-19 x - is automatically disabled and will not light

    Hello
I was in the middle of my review using my laptop stated above, when it is just off, it was plugged, it wasn't the battery for this purpose. But it does not ignite again, I disconnected from the grid and normally when it is running on AC it will acknowledge this with a light, but doesn't work. Also when I push the power button or network it will not turn on.

I bought the laptop in December 2009 and it happened the first week I had, but the computer was warm to the touch and more heated theresfore, but this time the laptop wasn't hot yet and that he had been on 1/2 hour. I decided to leave a few hours and when I tried again to the base of the laptop is cold to the touch, but it not always light.

I was wondering if someone could help me understand what's wrong with it

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

There's LEDs, while the AC adapter is plugged?
If this isn't the case, then there could be something wrong with the AC adapter or the mother for laptop.
But if you are sure that the adapter is 100% ok, then it might be a problem with the laptop.

It is difficult to say what might be wrong here as mentioned; If the LEDs shine t n, then mobo could be affected if the power LED to, then you should check the bars of memory in some cases the laptop would be light not because of faulty memory so it s certainly worth a check

  • Sansa fuze will not update track licenses

I must have the most ghetto sansa fuze there because I had so many problems with mine. I currently have two. I have the new firmware from sandisk sansa updater program.

    First of all:

When I connect my sansa fuze to my PC to update track licenses, add songs, etc. that my computer slows down considerably and all internet access is stopped. I can't sign my account on rhapsody because the internet will not work. And since internet does not work when it is connected, I could not update my licenses and now they are all expired. Help, please!

    Second:

I took the same sansa fuse to another computer. When I plugged on the second computer, I had no problem. However, when I try to update the licenses, the Rhapsody program says that the function is finished. But when I try to listen to music in the "rocket", the "rocket" tells me that track licenses are obsolete. I've updated the entire library and internal and external disks, appears in the pane. I hope this makes some sense. Any help is appreciated.

It's the limitation of the Janus DRM.  You must update the licenses of track on the same PC as they were transferred from.

This isn't a fault with Rhapsody, it's part of the way in which DRM system has been designed.  Format RealAudio RAX of Rhapsody has circumvented this restriction by using the Rhapsody from Sansa e200R.

Regarding the license updates in the last 24 hours, the real servers had issues.  The system is back today!  Yep, I met the same question, a handful of devices update last night.

  • My e260 will not play the music that is in the folder "root"...

    Hello.

My e260 won't play any music that's in my is e260\Media\MUSIC

he plays music just if it appears in the records of the album that contains a single artist , if I add more that one artist to a record won't play/find (the files are MP3 only)

firmware is 01.12.15A, a direct update link will be useful

usb is now in mtp mode... If I spend to msc mode won't do a thing and will not show the "revomable" drive in mypc

    Try to update on 1.02.18

but follow these instructions.  These include the later firmware, but some people have trouble with the firmware after 1.02.18.

The MSC connection is usually the easiest.

What kind of Windows are you using?

The problem can also be that you have nested in circles of MUSIC. You could try to move the music folder up one level.

  • E260 will not go past the opening screen

I got my 260 E for about a year and later that yesterday I went to turn it on, but it remains on the logon screen. Enter mode 'sleep', but I can't listen to music or find out anything because it will not go beyond the opening screen. The second of 10-15 soft reset I tried a hundred times, but it does not work.

If remove/insert the battery did not work, the next step would be to format the drive.  You can also try to update the firmware.  I hope that you have a model v1.  What does say on the back of the drive?  Do you see a blue Sansa logo on the splash screen?  If so, you have a model v2 with no recovery mode.

Assuming you have a v1 with the recovery mode:

    1. Turn off the player.
    2. Slide the key lock (to headphone jack).
    3. Press and hold the RECORD when connecting to the PC.
    4. Output RECORD when the "Welcome to recovery mode" message on the LCD s drive.
    5. Open my computer/Windows explore and see if you can find a new "16 MB - FORMAT" labeled removable flash drive
    6. Right-click on 16 MB-FORMAT and select new folder.
    7. Name the new folder "sansa.fmt" (without the quotes).
    8. Use the remove safely icon in the system tray.
    9. HOLD reset in the unlocked position.
    10. Disconnect the player from the PC.

The player must, by seeing the folder sansa.fmt in the root directory of the drive, proceed to format itself.  Pay attention to any error/success message see you.  If all goes well, it will tell the full format and then to restart.

DO NOT TRY TO FORMAT THE VOLUME 16 MB-FORMAT!

If the format does not work, the next step is to try to update the firmware.  Go to the correct sticky message and download the firmware for your region .24A (assuming that he is a player of v1).  Drag and drop the embedded .mi4 and ROM files of archive of the firmware in the root directory of the 16 MB-FORMAT drive.  Make sure that the files end up in the root directory and not in a subdirectory.  Unplug and restart the player as before.

  • Sansa e260 do not show videos in the menu.

Yep, title says it all. Convert videos to .mpeg or whatever in the output that needs it. MOV, using the Sansa Media Converter. Then, as my computer can not detect the device, I do drag and drop the video into the folder of the video in MSC mode. Then once she completes her copy, I unplug it, go to the video menu and it turns out that [EMPTY]. Yet, it shows the. MOV file under the video section of the Sansa.

I am currently using a Sansa e260 V2 with the latest firmware installed. I have Windows Media Player 11, SP2, and just about everything really. I don't understand what is wrong.

Seriously, I hope I get an answer to this, because I thought that $120 for a player MP3/video of 4gig was too good to be true... on the video portion anyway.

If you have questions too, ask me here. I'll check this post every few hours.

  • Sansa fuze will not play and flashes pink message

I love this player the "rocket" 4 GB, better than the 260e I used to have. But I had only used 1 hour when he stopped playing and flashed a box pink with black letters. "Synchronize to continue your music subscription" which is strange, because all music has been downloaded out of my cd personal message does not disappear, and the player will not play. Any help.

How do rip you the CD? If you have used Windows Media Player, the default settings create protected WMA files.

Also, you should post topics related to the rocket on the plateau of the rocket.  -Moved to the Fuze forum

  • bricked sansa e260: do not format (or do something else besides)!

First of all, I want to apologize to ask you this question often, but I assure you, that my problem is a little different from the others.

In short, I am able to get into recovery mode, access to 16 MB-FORMAT drive in Windows XP and Ubuntu 8.04 and sansa.fmt dough, rom and mi4 files; but in both places, I'm not able to do format, nor commit the bootloader or the firmware on the drive NAND.

How it happened: in other words, the recovery of 16 MB drive has been formatted. When the computer reboots, there has been a "Load main image failed. Switch to recovery mode.

That the player is able to do now:
In normal mode, the player starts with the startup splash screen, followed of the message.

    Cannot load the main image.
    Switch to recovery mode

The player is not automatically in recovery mode, I have to do it manually, using the combo PowerOn-REC-HOLD.

In recovery mode, when the usb cable is connected, I get the following message

    **********************
    Welcome to Recovery Mode
    **********************

    USB cable connected
    Enter USB2.0 MSD mode

Now, windows and linux, the recovery of load automatically drive and let me paste the files here.
One thing to note, is that the recovery drive, always seems to be a corrupt VERSION. TXT file.
Every time I got paste all the files (like sansa.fmt) and disassemble the drive. I get the following message:

    Safe to unplug the USB
Leave the USB 2.0 MSD mode

After I unplug the usb cable and the drive is simply stuck in this mode forever, until I have hold the power button for 15 seconds to close. When the computer reboots, I'm back to the same old problem. NO CHANGE.

In production mode, I am successfully able to use the e200tool for all functions, including the order of i2cprogram (with which I flashed the rom i2c to i2c - e260.bin file without hassle). I am also able to inject the Bootloaders in the RAM by using the recover command.

Methods I tried to solve this problem :

    • In recovery mode, I tried to install the firmware (mi4) alone, sansa.fmt only, firmware and BL (rom file) and finally the three files together (I have always used the firmware and BL of the same version). Everything I try, the result is the same, the player is blocked (see photo) always recovery mode screen. I waited a few hours, before you close and restart, but still no change.
    • In production mode, I connect the player to linux via the USB port, the drive is detected correctly. I then use the e200tool to recover the corrupt Bootloader. Once the performance begins, I touch REC, which starts the drive in recovery mode, I paste it sansa.fmt on the 16 MB drive. Unplug the cable USB and just wait and wait and wait... NO message on the screen.
(I tried all versions of firmware 10, 1.00.12 to 1.03.07, found here)
    • I searched through them two and abi forums, looking for a solution and we tried all those. Please do tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

If there is no easy solution for this, I'm even willing to do some so low levels of piracy, possibly, to access the NAND drive somehow using the e200tool and, possibly, to directly write the entire score of 20 MB hidden on the NAND drive. If anyone can guide me with this. It would be more useful.

Please feel free to ask me questions to clarify or specify what anyone, that I mentioned above.

Hey, guys... I found a solution to the problem... click on the following link:
