Sansa Fuze Rockbox. Version question.

Hey guys and girls, I need help desiphering if it is possible to install Rockbox on my Sansa Fuze special. My version is listed in my info like: V01.02.28a

It's an old Sansa, but I've updated fairly regularly. Countless FAQ told me that the Sansa fuze V2 is incompatible with Rockbox. and if I would try to apply it on the wrong version, I want to brick my machine. But as says the version, version 01.Intro, so I ask someone here who has more experience with this sort of thing to help me.

Thank you.

  • WMP11 will hang on the Sansa Fuze is connected

My wife made me the 4 GB Sansa Fuze for Christmas. When I tried to synic it with WMP, WMP crashes. In fact, it crashes every time that the rocket is connected. When it is not connected WMP11 works fine, all my music lists and the game are there but as soon as the rocket is reconginized by Windows, WMP11 closes or crashes right. I can get to the "FLARE" via the Explorer with no problems, it also loads and I can drag-and - drop files to it.

I have Real Player installed v10, but don't use it for music. I uninstalled and reinstalled WMP11, but it does not solve the problem. I found similar positions on WMP11, but they offer no help.

    I am running:

Windows XP Pro SP3 - up to date

    WMP11 - up to date

Sansa Fuze firmware version: 02.02.26A, USB Mode: automatic detection, but the problem is still takes place in PSG & MSC.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If I missed the solution in my research please point me in the right direction.

I'm under WiMP11 build 11.0.5721.5268 on this machine, slightly different, perhaps.  Take a look at this series of posts to Tech Arena.  The posts follow a nested formula, but the nuts and bolts are there if you scroll through them.

Looks like they found a problem with the DRM store.  The common question resembles a WiMP11 crash when a flash drive is plugged.  Let me know if it helps!

In a linked page, it comes to conflicts with the completed Revista codecs, I have not met with CCCP installed.  In fact, CCCP codec package improved performance, as I can see chapter data when a DVD is mounted.  Seized, DVD wouldn't play properly.

  • Sansa Fuze v1: Rockbox vs original Firmware

ROckbok have the stable version for sansa fuze v1. But I wonder what is the best? ROckbok firmware or the Original sandisk firmware... Any idea? Thans a lot...
    SRY for my bad English!

    Hello

I can't tell you which is better for performance, but if you install rockbox on Sansa Fuze you will lose the warranty on the product and SanDisk will provide you with no warranty or replacement if it brakes or problems arise.

  • A few Questions about the videos on my Sansa Fuze

    Hey all,.

I'm pretty new with my sansa fuze (I only had for about a week), and I have 2 questions about 'videos' on the "rocket"...

Any help in answering these questions would be greatly appreciated!

    So:

First of all, on my sansa fuze, I see 2 folders under the section "VIDÉO", "Audio_TS" and "Video_TS". What are these folders and files ranging in what folder?

Second, I tried to load this video (about 20 min. length) through the Sansa Media Converter on my sansa fuze. Now, when I try to convert my video to a Vob (a kind of file extension), the appropriate file type file (which I suppose is all .mp4), I get a message saying: "It cannot convert, because your Sansa player is not connected" (even though I know I plugged). Is there a way I can get the Sansa converter program around and just use a different software to modify the mjy .mp4 file, or what I need to use the Sansa Media Converter to do?

    Again, any help is appreciated...

    Thank you

OK two records don't matter to you. SMC (or any other program) place the files in there, so you don't need to worry. VOB files are not compatible with SMC, so when you rip the DVD, you must use a program like Any-Video-Converter to create an AVI file or a mpge (my recommendations). Rhapsody will also add videos to the "rocket" as well.

  • Question about the earphones for sansa fuze.

    Hey,.

I'm looking for a new helmet for my sansa fuze. If there is someone who can help me with this do it please. I found a page on amazon.com

Here is the link to this page:

    http://www.Amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_e_0_9?URL=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=Sansa+headphones&Sprefix=Sansa+HEA

Can someone help me please by suggesting a good headset for my fuse sansa at a reasonable price

There are tons of recommendations already on this forum for the headphones and earphones.  Using the search will give you access to them... BUT... take a review or a recommendation with a very large grain of salt.  Headphones or earphones are the most personal part of the audio chain, and everyone has their own "vision" of what makes a great set.  I can love, you hate him.  No a pair of headphones will be perfect for all applications.

I use a set of Grado GS 1000 when I want to extract every bit of sound information of the "rocket"; I use the Sennheizer 201 or 202 for general use (meaning: good, but not fantastic sound) and a pair of headphones marshmallow JVC to talk radio applications.

These are my preferences; yours may be completely different.

I'm sure that the recommendations are abound, but the only one who really knows your ears and your preferences is Y-O-U.

  • Help! My Sansa Fuze has no option of Volume of Normal\High!

Hey guys, I have looked for a solution on the net but can't seem to find a.   The problem is that, after I've updated my Sansa Fuze V2 with the sansa updater my options for high or normal volume disappeared!   I looked everywhere, but it's just not there!  It's really annoys me because I can barely hear my songs...

    I've updated to version V02.03.31F

Thanks in advance!  I'd love to be able to walk down the street and be able to hear the music!

Guess you're not looking in the right places...

The key is in the release notes contained in the message Firmware update here. The question of the volume must be addressed to meet the requirements of the EU, so you "trick" the player into thinking that it is not in Europe. You will then get your rear volume.

  • Sansa Fuze 4 GB Black / Video Converter problems

For Christmas, I got a 4Gb black Sansa Fuze, I downloaded Sansa Media Converter, Moyea Youtube Downloader, Sansa Updater and all video Converter(trial version) and K-lite codec pack. I tried to get videos on my Sansa Fuze, but when I try to add a video to the converter it says something like lla I can use some help!

"The video cannot be added to your library because Sansa video converter does not support the file you are trying to add, or the file is currupted."

I tried all types of formats (AVI, WMA, etc.) to get the converter to read and I also tried (Mpeg-4, Ogg) and still nothing worked, if the bad codec yet? or maybe it's my converter (Sansa) screwed up in the download?

It does not work because the material is not included in black Sansa rockets to video support.

None! I'm just messin 'with' ya, but I always laugh when I see a poster has to tell us what color is their player. As if it really made a difference, or is relevant to the problem that they encounter you, or that a different diagnoses or an appeal would be dependent on the color of outer case. Probably 60% (or more) of all messages 1 with the new members include this vital information in the first sentence.

Now, to get to your question... have you tried Video4Fuze or FuzeVidz?

  • When my sansa fuze can have games?

I need now when my sansa fuze can have games and in what version of firmware, if you can?

large in size, type Comic without side, you bought an mp3 player, not a game device. It is designed to play music, video and photos.

There is a program called "rockbox" that offers a selection of game plugins, but it is not available for the "rocket" yet because the firmware doesn't support, or something like that.

  • The Sansa Fuze is similar to the Sansa e280R?

    This is a broad question.

There are two versions of the e200 series.

The e200 and then the e200R or Rhapsody.

Remember how the e200R series had an interface more clean, which will do the same for the "rocket"?

Haven't bought a rocket, I want to buy something.

Is another question, with Rhapsody To Go, or what I need to add it myself?  Also, if I add Rhapsody to the "rocket", it will give the "rocket" this cleaner interface?

When I say interface more, the version of Rhapsody had smoother transitions between menus and the text was smoother and much more readable.

    Thanks in advance!

The Rhapsody from Sansa (e200R) has some nice features, like the 'balloon' police while rolling through the menus.  The device later, the e200v2, was also the improvement of the police.

The aircraft later, the e200v2, became the Sansa Fuze shortly after.

The latest Sansas, including the e200v2, the "rocket", the music video and the new Clip + are compatible, all the RhapPFS, which means that the Rhapsody feature improvements are incorporated into these devices.  Rhapsody channels appear in the main menu once the device is allowed to use the Rhapsody service.

You also have several options, like adding channels has Rhapsody music track to the library of your device and a procurement function which signals an individual track for purchase later, when the Sansa is signed up to the service.

The Sansa Rhapsody used format RAX of RealNetworks, a unique DRM (license based on the device) system, while the new devices use 160 kbps WMA for tracks.

  • How to move files to support 8 GB SanDisk Sansa Fuze player to the computer?

How can I move audio files of SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Media Player from my computer using Windows Media Player 10?  I did it in the past with the previous versioins of Media player, but this version does not offer this option.

Have you checked the web site of Sandisk?  http://KB.SanDisk.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/389

  • Sansa Fuze is not compatible with Rhapsody/Windows 8.1?

Finally, I replaced my old laptop XP with a new with WIn 8.1.  My two (2nd gen.)  Rocket (no +) devices load OK, appear in Rhapsody as being authorized and allow the transfer of securities with subscription. But once disconnected the two devices think the tracks of the expired subscription.  Rhapsody has this message under Tools > device compatibility report:

Device for Sansa Fuze 8 GB compatibility report:
This PC reports that it performs "Microsoft Windows Version 6.2'."
Transfers of securities of subscription to the devices is not supported by your version of Windows

Titles that have been imported from CDs play fine. Someone here can shed light on what is happening?  Is is time to reformat devices?  Much thanks is advanced.

Well, well, well. For all those who might find this thread with a similar problem in the future, I think that I just solved it my problem with the help of the Rhapsody site troubleshooting tips.  It is reset course the Sansa device clock, regardless of it's:

    Asked synchronize the device

-Reset the clock secure your device
    1. go to the Rhapsody software
    2. connect your MP3 player to your computer
    3. hold the CTRL & SHIFT key on your keyboard and right click the player icon
    4. click on Reset secure clock

  • How to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB

Hello! Can someone tell me how to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB. I'm going to replace because the wheel is not working properly and I ask (the agent on the Technical Support) on all my music that I have on my MP3 and they tell me to make a copy, but whenever I downloaded on Windows Media Player, I can listen to, but as soon as I disconnect my MP3, I can't play anymore. Can someone help me please, I don't want to lose all my music. Or as a matter of fact again downloaded (too many site to visit again)

You can manually copy your music from the device to the computer using Windows Explorer, often referred to as 'My Computer' or just 'computer' in different versions of Windows by drag-and-drop, or open the Windows Media Player and "copy of the device" after clicking on the tab sync.

It is also possible to copy works by using an application like Media Monkey too.

Many people confused if the Sansa was initially loaded using never WiMP, many are realizing that the application works in both directions.

Remember, it is important to always have a backup of your music!  It will save you grief!

  • Sansa Fuze don't will not load! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had my sansa fuze since last Christmas.

The first time my sansa fuze wouldn't load I came here and someone told me to hang it to the USB port back because he has more power.

So I got this new computer recently and my computer will not recognize it. I tried to uninstall it in my computer, but nothing works for me.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem

    Thanks for the help

First try all ports - and no hubs USB, just connection is direct to the computer.

If there is still no love, go to Settings/Control Panel on the "rocket" and change the USB MSC Mode and see if it charges.

Look in the computer and see which version of Windows Media Player, it is a. (open WMP, click on help and about.)  It must be 10 or 11 to recognize the "rocket" in MTP mode, which is probably what you value. Update Windows Media Player 10 or 11, and you can move on to PSG.

  • How to delete songs that came on my Sansa Fuze?

My Sansa Fuze came with 19 songs on what I want to delete but I don't know how.  When I plug in my Sansa Fuze in my computer the songs do not appear on my computer but they are on the device when I use it.  They are not in the 'Music' folder or any folder when I manage the device to my computer.  Can someone tell me how to remove these unwanted songs?

If you don't have any other music/photos/videos etc.  on the "rocket", or you have copies that you are ready to transfer again, the best way to get rid of these songs is to format the "rocket" that erases all content (but does not change its integrated software). Settings from settings/system/Format.

Or if you have a friend with a new Windows computer, you can see the songs and delete them yourself.

Why can't you see these songs? It's a long story, but a bit simple.

The "rocket" has two modes USB, MSC and MTP (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode). They have two different lines in the "rocket" and your computer can only read one at a time. (The "rocket" sees it bit any mode).

The songs of the sample were transferred in MTP mode. But your computer connects via MSC - my favorite - mode so it cannot see them.

MSC treats the "rocket" as a generic flash drive. You can drag and drop manually, or if you want you can use Winamp or Media Monkey to sync things.

MTP allows the "rocket" be controlled - sync, etc. - by Windows Media Player 10 or higher. It allows also WMP transmit codes DRM (Digital Rights Muck) hidden-in-the-user for things like the songs protected against copying and audiobooks that expire. Probably not, you use those.

The idea was to have the equivalent of iTunes/iPod of coordination for the majority of users - but also for the greater freedom and control of Maritime safety, if a user wants to change. No Windows, on Mac or Linux users, find yourself on MSC as well.  The only real requirement for MTP mode is for DRM files.

On a computer that has Windows Meda Player 10 or higher, Auto Detect mode the "rocket of" (the third choice in Settings/System Settings/USB Mode) - which is what the "rocket" uses unless you changed it - connects in MTP mode and these songs will be visible and removable. That's why it would be simpler to use PC a friend Windows - Vista, Windows 7, etc.

The original Windows XP comes with Windows Media Player 9 - a too old version for PSG. If you are running XP you could update WMP (via support.microsoft.com) to empty these songs. Then, you must return to the MSC (not Auto Detect) and do all what you did previously to transfer your music., you'll have all your visible songs by you.
