  I spent my sansa fuze and realized that the setting on the homescreen option wasn't there. I tried to reset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds and it always comes out the same, I don't think it's resseting anything. Is there any solution for this?

  I think stores have a "demo Mode" which prevents clients from mess up the settings. Try to reload the firmware manually, the regions all the link to the thread to the top of the page.

• Why my 8 GB Sansa Fuze has just 7.3 GB available?

  I have had my Sansa Fuze for a few months now, and I just noticed that there is only 7.3 total GB of memory available to the advertised 8 GB, and I have epuise.61 GB. What gives? Please bear with me, I had a very unpleasant experience with this drive recently and I'm very tempted to break the thing blown now.

  Seriously, this is a cause of confusion for many. The short answer is, the computer math is not the same as math 'marketing' In other words, what is sold as 8 GB is not really 8 GB total.

  Hi, I listened to a song on my rocket and sudenly the screen began to move through, and then he got the color bars on it, computing disappeared until it was just a white screen, but curiously enough, the music continued to play? In fact, each button still worked, I could change the songs, go to the menu, I could all but see what I was doing.

  First, try a rest in now the switch in the highest position for 20-30 seconds. Normally, this is sufficient, but some have said until a minute taken was necessary to reset the device.

  If it still does not work, you should probably check out some of the existing threads on the topic. Some have been lucky by formatting the player, some by reinstalling the firmware and some bad luck at all. The v2 rockets appear to be more prone to this phenomenon then their predecessor (the v1 model) and there is no clear known reason or flack for her fix.

  Playlists are 'Easy' it is built in the playlist, called the list go to which you can add songs, Albums or artist. To do this use the scroll wheel to highlight the thing you want to add, and then press select button (round one in the centre) and hold it.   My sansa fuze has been freezing since update firmware a couple of months.  Sometimes he would set himself, when I rebooted, but it gets progressively worse.

  Today it froze to the homescreen as usual, but I could not turn on after I restarted several times, after many trials, I could connect to my pc without the "rocket" freezing at the login screen. I decided to format it through my pc and I also reformatted it on the player as well. I have not reformatted it since adapting if I was trying to avoid having my deleted files. Meanwhile, I looked in the forums to apply solutions that have worked for others in the same situation.

  Here are some of my problems I think to make this kind of odd. Windows tells me is no longer a memory, internal and external, it reads the interns as F: drive and the external slot as drive G:

  Also, I have a napster to Go account that I use for a year now synchronized with this player and he wrote the unit (the "rocket") is not compatible, and I tried the update of napster to see if that was the problem, but napster has been giving me trouble since the new update with the firmware of the rocket.   Have you tried switching USB (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode) mode to PSG?

  If not, why not roll back manually. Just unzip the firmware.26 and drop the .bin file in the drive of the rocket.

• Sansa Fuze don't will not load! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I have had my sansa fuze since last Christmas.

  The first time my sansa fuze wouldn't load I came here and someone told me to hang it to the USB port back because he has more power.

  So I got this new computer recently and my computer will not recognize it. I tried to uninstall it in my computer, but nothing works for me.

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem

  First try all ports - and no hubs USB, just connection is direct to the computer.

  If there is still no love, go to Settings/Control Panel on the "rocket" and change the USB MSC Mode and see if it charges.

  Look in the computer and see which version of Windows Media Player, it is a. (open WMP, click on help and about.)  It must be 10 or 11 to recognize the "rocket" in MTP mode, which is probably what you value. Update Windows Media Player 10 or 11, and you can move on to PSG.

• Downloading music to Sansa Fuze 4 GB Help!

  I bought two different 4 s Sansa Fuze g for my two children and they have been sitting on the counter since Christmas because of the problems I describe.  I have Windows Vista Home premium (64 bit) with many already present songs in Windows media player.  My big problem is that whenever I have sync music (download) for each Sansa player he always double downloads.  While I use the Windows Media Player or drag and drop in windows Explorer, I always get the song twice on the drive!  I downloaded the latest firmware with no help.  Also, when I go back to the player and remove one of them, none of them end up working.

  Can someone please offer me solutions?

  I took my daughters to the MTP mode and I let here since we will be sync with WMP.  When I did this all worked very well.  I really appreciate the help as this has been a huge burden for us who had been going on for months.  Thanks again and Happy Easter!

  This can help. But be warned if you open it and it goes bad later SanDisk who see and decide to not honor the warranty.

  I just use MSC, but if you like Windows Media player you can use with PSG. It is better for your own sanity to stick to one mode or the other, even if the "rocket" don't really care.

  This is incorrect. With PSG, you don't have to use WMP... I'm not sure. My Sony player is PSG, yet I can drag and drop to her very well. On the flip side of this, you can also use WMP in MSC mode, if you are so inclined. I don't know why you would, but it's possible.

  Don't get me wrong, given the choice, I prefer the MSC... If I have the choice of control or MTP I'll choose SMC 100% of the time.

  I just sync Sansa Fuze 4 my wife Go with Windows Media Player and folder names are not preserved. It's the folder view using the artist name and it is not how the songs were - they were on the PC as "Classic country" etc. That's happened? I have one without Fuze 2 GB that displays correctly when I sync the files... How can I fix it?  I'll try to redo with her in another mode to USB using windows Explorer to load the files and see if that makes a difference, but why the difference between the 4 GB Fuze and Fuze 2?

  Okay, so, my computer froze and had to be stopped, and my sansa fuse has been plugged in, now it does not work. I turn it on and get a blank screen. When I plug it into the computer, I see the normal screen of 'Connected', but as soon as I unplug it, welcome back to the white screen of death... Is it all the same to restart or do I need to go to the store I bought it at and ask if they can fix or replace it...?

  You have probably some corrupted data, maybe a transfer was interrupted when the computer froze? Format and reinstall firmware should be all you need. There is no way you describe would have actually broken beyond repair material. I'll copy and paste my advice for reformatting to another thread;

  Try connecthing the reader to your computer, then formatted the player in respect of the management of the disks (if you use windows), then download firmware appropriate for your reader to this thread. Make sure you choose one that suits, as the case may be, you have a V1 or V2 rocket. You can check this by opening the file 'version.sdk' (you can find it in the top folder of the "rocket") in any text editor. Unzip the file, place it in the top folder of your "rocket", and then disconnect the drive. It will install the new firmware, and if all goes well, it should be good as new after that.

• Sansa Fuze V2 problems wheel [HELP PLEASE]

  So, I recently got my Sansa Fuze.  I was very happy with it.  Initially, I had some problems, but I sucked in and resolved.  Although now, the wheel of my sansa fuze is what I believe to be, die.  The drive itself is not even a month, and I do not use it pretty close.  The LED around the wheel is really go wacko.  The whole circle LED flashes, and the lower right corner of the wheel would not light up unless I actually press on this subject.  I had this problem before, but I found that the sides were loose and that I just pressed it back, which made the point.  2 weeks after it happened.  I don't know what is happening.  I have searched, but nothing was very useful for me.  Is there a way to fix this?  In addition, how would I know if my drive is still under warranty?

  You say you have "recently." How recently? It is probably still under warranty (1 year in the United States). This looks like something that will do better or that you can fix yourself. It's a hardware problem; call that SanDisk technical support and they'll most likely replace them for you.
