Sansa View 8 GB and Windows Vista 64-bit

I have a Sansa View and was thinking about making a new laptop with Windows Vista 64-bit.  I searched on the web as see if it is compatible, but have not been very successful.  Is there anyone out there with a view running a 64-bit or have any knowledge on that? Thank you!

Yes, it is compatible. 98% of the software and hardware produced in 4-5 years are compatible with Vista 64 bit.

If you have chosen the correct drivers (for the right notebook series) then try to copy the extracted files in the folder of Toshiba Value Package added to programs-> Toshiba-> Toshiba Value added Package.

Then try to run the ini file as described on the page of the European driver Toshiba.

  • I removed Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit installed, but when I enter the key it says the key is already in use. How can I fix it?

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 bit edition

I bought Windows Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 in a box in 2008, I installed the 32 edition because at the time I was told not all software will work with the edition 64 a month ago, I decided to windows 7 Ultimate Via Amazon purchase which proved be a copy of the counterfeit money and Amazon me has now repaid , so what I do, well I could buy another copy of windows 7 Ultimate or I could give the other Version of windows that came in the same box with a product key a go, so I removed and formatted the hard drive and reinstalled 64 bit version on my drive using the product key original that I used on the 32-bit Edition for four years and when I try to register the 64 bits edition, that is to say someone else using this product key, you will have to buy another key or a copy of windows 7. Well, I decided to wait until Windows 8 will be released, that's why I decided to try the Vista 64 - bit Edition?

Or better yet, I might switch to a Mac OS x system?

The answer is not to buy Windows 7 from a dealer on the market of Amazon.  Stick to Amazon itself.  Amazon Marketplace is as eBay and other auction sites and online delivery.  It is composed of persons whose practices sales are questionable.  You won't get counterfeit product from Amazon itself.

  • Life in car and Windows Vista 64-bit

So, to be clear, what I read that looks like my drive of life is not compatible with Vista?  Is it true that Palm is going?

    Thank you

    Roberta

Hello Roberta and welcome on Palm forums.

No Palm OS, including the LifeDrive device, is compatible with the 64-bit editions of Windows Vista or Windows XP.  This is due to the lack of a 64-bit USB driver that is required to perform a HotSync cable.  If your PC has Bluetooth, you can synchronize your LifeDrive via a Bluetooth wireless connection.  For more information on the use of Bluetooth, see this thread.

  • Problem to create the Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Original title: Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

    Hello

Recently, I plugged a laptop running Windows XP to a desktop computer running Windows Vista using a standard Ethernet cable with the intention of use sharing of Internet connection. The notebook contains a wireless connection that I've routed to the office via the cable said.  While the initial phase of installation went well (I was too lazy to do it manually, so I just used the Wizard "Set up a home or small business network" Windows XP,) I had to turn off the host computer to install a program. When I tried to set up ICS again, I couldn't connect to the Internet by using ICS. After this failure, I tried to configure the properties of TC/IPv4 (IP, gateway by default, etc.) manually, but I still couldn't run.  I am able to access the shared host PC and client files. It seems to me that some service essential to the proper functioning of the ICS may be disabled in some way, but it's just speculation, as I have no evidence of such a service. Help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    FG-man

I tried this before using a laptop to share internet with my 360.  problem is there was Nat on the router, and it is in contradiction with the ics.

Anyway long story short I did some research on the Internet and discovered that if you're behind a router ICS will be confllict with her, as ICS also does routing. a much better option is to "bridge the conections ' on the laptop.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/hnw_bridge_install.mspx?mfr=true

If you go this route, you need to set a static ip address for the office,

Either that or if you want to continue using ICS put the laptop in the DMZ in the router may help, but it will be less secure.

Hope that this helped good luck

i, m on windows vista 32-bit basic family and I m under IE 9. Windows Defender does not level

    Hello

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):

"Go to start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Look for Windows Defender.

Right click and select Properties , ensure that Startup Type is automatic.

Once modified, click apply and OK.

Quit and restart your computer. Check the back take the same path to confirm that Windows Defender has started"

If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

    Hello
I hope someone can help me. I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means (thanks in advance)?

You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.
