Satellite 1130-Z29: what RAM modules need me?

upgrade from 256 to 512 MB

Hello

Just FYI: I found the news following memory modules are compatible for your laptop model

PC2100 256MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
PC2100 512MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)

Memory module cover is placed in the lower corner. Just remove it and put the additional module in the slot empty.

    > I'm not a pro but I thought that it might be a guide?
    > Could someone put me on any help would be good.

I remember that Toshiba manuals contain line very nice guide and photo on RAM upgrade.
Download one of the Satellite A200 series user manual and check the instruction.
The manual can be downloaded from the homepage of the European support of Toshiba.

PS: in most cases, the RAM slots are placed at the bottom of the unit. The slot is secured by a screw and if you remove so you should be able to access slots.

  • What Ram modules are used in the Satellite Pro L870 18R

    HYA

I m new to this forum so apologies if I posted in the wrong place.
I just bought a Sat Pro L870 18R for my wife as a Christmas pressy.
Before she gets to him I was going to increase the Ram of 4 GB to 8 GB.

I know he has a single stick of ddr3 1600 Mhz in it, but without opening it you know which manufacturer to use Ram Tosh for this machine?

I like to keep the same manufacturer.
If I can at least give him a chance to run dual channel. I know I couldn't just take part and look like I m going to have to open it to adapt to the new ram anyway.

I just i didn t want to keep o he packing and unpacking, and opening and closing upward are a gift after all lol.

    Any help appreciated thnk

Above all the RAM brand is very important to get the RAM running in dual channel.
It is important that the two RAM modules will support the same features.

As far as I know the unit was equipped with a SO-DIMM 4 GB RAM DDR3 1600 module MHz (PC3-12800). I guess the reference is: * PA3918U-1M4G *.

  • Satellite A30 - 151 - what memory module can use?

    Hello

I have TOSHIBA Satellite A30-151 with 768 MB of DDR1 memory.
I want to upgrade. What is the best memory that I can buy?

    the card says:
    Max 2 048 MB.

So, how many slots I? I can buy 2 x 1 Go DDR1-333 memory? Can it be more than 333 then?

    Thank you
    NIR.

    Hello

    It is really an oldie
As far as I know that you can upgrade the RAM up to 2 GB of RAM
The bus (FSB) front-end speed seems to support 533 Mhz and that's why you should be able to use the 533 Mhz RAM modules.

PS: The laptop must support 2 slots of memory if you are able to put 2 x 1 GB RAM

  • What Ram do need me?

    Hello again

My Toshiba laptop is an Equium A60 152 and it has only 256 MB of ram.
In the manual - it says that I need to use RAM modules in:
    PC2100, 200 pins, SO Dual In-Line (SO-DIMM).

I tried to find this RAM, and it comes in different varieties:
    DDR266 LOW PROFILE

    DDR400

Nobody knows which of the 3 types I need to fit in the slot below the laptop?

    Thanks again for any help

  • Info satellite A210 171 what do I need before using the recovery disk?

    Hello

I have 1 recovery disk that came with my equium, have not used before.
It says on the back of the envelope of recovery disk 'insert the first diskette.

I guess there should be a second?

Also this info I need to provide during the installation process? as serial number?
All I have a black and white sticker that is on the side of the box, it came in, but it was so long ago.

I'm having a lot of problems with windows install does not and many others.
Windows updates do not work either and I tried to correct those, but a clean reinstall of the operating system has been recommended.
Now, at this point nothing will install because windows setup will not work.
So I think I wil lhave to try a clean install, but I do know that the cd player works.

I got a great run on this laptop, little slow today for my needs, but all very good product, purchased in 2007.
With a clean OS and 4 GB of ram that could last for years, cannot afford a new right now.
I really tried to avoid using a disc of recovery in the past, as I have never had problems until now.

    Thank you

I m wondering why you get this disc with your laptop, why? Because I do not have the recovery disk, but I had to create one using the Toshiba recovery disc creator software
But my laptop is more recent that your A210 might be the reason why you have this drive

I have created a recovery disk and I needed two-disc DVD, I think it depends on the size of the image file

    > Also what information I need to provide during the installation process? as serial number?
This is not necessary because your system has already been activated.

But I recommend you backup your personal data, because the recovery disk would format the whole HARD drive and you will lose the files.

PS: you should read other threads in product recovery forum!

  • How to replace a Satellite 1130-Z29 HARD drive?

    Hello
I hope you can help me.
The HARD drive in my 1130-Z29 is now to small for me and the main thing is that it sounds bad. There are too many noises of work.
How can I change this? I discovered that the HARD drive is under the DVD drive. But I couldn't find any quick solution open as to other laptops, I know.
I have to open the entire computer.
    Thank you
    Andy

    Hello

Yes, it would be necessary to completely open the machine. So if Don t you out of warranty, you can do this. The machine is easy to disassemble, I and a friend of mine did some time ago.

But I think it would be better for you to seek a technician who has some clues on the disassembly of electronic stuff. Believe me, it s pretty hard to put it back together after having disassembled successfully.
    :)

  • What RAM I need to use the Satellite Pro M70-144

I have a Satellite M70-144. I need more RAM 512ddrII. I do not know the sound that I have in there now is the name of the "Samsung wk551k" RAM.
Can someone tell me how to put extra RAM?

    Hello

It seems that this laptop just support DDR2 400/533 memory modules.
You can upgrade the memory for max 2048 MB and you use these modules:
    DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
    1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

These modules are 100% compatible and it works like a dream ;)

  • Satellite L50-A-108 - what RAM modules are compatible?

    Hello!

    I have a C50-A-108 with processor Intel® Core i5 - 3230M (3 m Cache, up to 3.20 GHz) rPGA.
I want to add a stick of RAM, and I wonder if this specification: DDR3/L /-RS 1333/1600 for my motherboard means that I can use a RAM DDR3L.

My laptop has already installed a DDR3 RAM (1,600 MHz), so I found a stick DDR3L 1.5V 1,600 MHz with the same timings as my system and I want to buy it. Before that, I want your opinion.

    Thank you.

    Hello

To my knowledge, the Satellite L50-A-108 was equipped HM70 mobile Intel Express Chipset. Is this correct?

    Express chipset mobile Intel HM70 supports 2 GB modules / 4 GB / 8 GB DDR3 1333 (PC3-10600) SO-DIMM and max 16 GB of RAM

The Intel Core i5 - 3230 M CPU processor supports DDR3/L /-RS 1333/1600 modules and the speed of the module is related to the speed of the front side bus.
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/72164/

In the case where the FSB is limited to 1 333 Mhz, 1600 Mhz modules would be pointing down.

  • What RAM modules are compatible with the Satellite A100-590?

    Hello

I plan to upgrade the memory of my A100-590. At present, there are 2 x 512 Mo of RAM DDR2-533 Samsung inside. The motherboard supports PC2-4200 and PC2-5300.

If I want to put 2 x 1024 MB DDR2-667. Now, my question is, RAM from other manufacturers such as Corsair, Kingston etc is also compatible with the jury?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

    GMC

they * SHOULD * be compatible with this machine, but I won´t dare to say they really are.

Then it s even better to use the original modules because you can be sure that they are 1000% compatible with your laptop.

Satellite 1800 is old enough for laptop... I searched a bit using Google and it seems to PC100 SDRAM SODIMM for her, but you can also choose PC133 modules, they will also work with low speed PC100.
