  Hello, I have a Dimension 2350 running Windows XP and last night, he has been infected by a virus. I did a scan at Trend Micro Housecall and it said that it removed all but one - TROJ_FAKEAVALE. F. now, I run a scan with AVG and it found 8 threats so far during the scanning, 6 with JS/Downloader.Agent, 1 with Downloader.Zlob and the other with trojan horse Downloader.Generic7.DXL. The AVG scan worked for 4 hours. These "system alerts" keep popping by saying that my system is infected and click here to download antivirus software. Please help me get rid of this!

  I would recommend mse, and here is the important part, XP as a limited user. If you are running as an administrator, a virus can make any chages to your system, including tampering with any AV you have installed, mse, windows firewall up and running as a limited user must provide a lot of protection,

They told me to go to click on the Start button in it, then click on run. type msconfig and on the Startup tab, uncheck everything that ends with TSSD. I restarted my computer and the NELSON was always there.  Then suddenly my computer shut down on its own and restarted with a screen that says now "Windows didn't start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\hal.dll .» Please reinstall a copy of the above file. "Does anyone know how to do this?   Looks like you have made incorrect changes in system configuration utility.

  See the Microsoft articles below to solve the problem by installing the recovery console and use the Bootcfg.exe tool to rebuild the Boot.ini file.

  I think that this virus - the main I think is trojan. BHO-keep coming back on my computer using System Restore.  Panel crashes every time I try to disable the system restore.  It crashes whenever I try to do anything in safe mode.  As mentioned, I can't get rid of it in the registry as it won't let me.  I have Microsoft Security databases, which doesn't quite work.  I have temp got rid of it with malwarebytes, more than once, but this virus so that perhaps others stay on my pc.   The files must be legal DVD or still to retranscode them. If so, it will use "automatic" (in which case it should adapt), or settings you have applied.

  Look at assets in the project Panel and columns for the status of transcoding DVDs and transcoding DVD setting. What did he say? Or better, post a screenshot.

  If the unit is connected to the power supply and if there is no response after pressing power button must be some hardware malfunction. Press the power button and hold down for a few seconds. I put t know how old is your device but it is possible that the warranty is still valid. Please contact the customer Service of your country partner and let check the device. The warranty will cover the costs.
