  It's really hard to say what causes this problem, but I think that notebok technicians do a good job and they will be committed to repair your laptop as soon as possible. Maybe they ordered some new parts, but they are not available at this time

  Hey Buddy, I have the solution for this problem. It's pretty easy.

  Have you checked the user manual? I doubt that this is because only if you would know the solution for this problem.
  In the user manual, you can find a list of the supported screen resolutions:
  -800 x 600
  -1024 x 768
  -1280 x 800
  -1280 x 1024
  -1600 x 1200
  -1920 x 1440
  -2048 x 1536

  So I think that it of not possible to use the native screen resolution of 1440 x 900. :(

  I think you should contact the new service and explain the situation. Do some photos as proof of what exactly happens and tell them you want to have good rework the device. You paid for the new product, you have the guarantee and book must work. If there is problem, service should make the diagnosis, what is the problem and fix it.

  -an electronic device to stabelise the power of the light source
  -a layer of lcd or tft screen

  In your case I guess that since the light was dimming the light source and the lcd/tft layer is not serious

• Satellite A200-PSAF6A - white screen, will not start

  I've had for about a year or more now, out of warranty, and I had no problems so far. The operation of the machine is perfect, done a little warm here and there, but I never had blockages of material etc. The problem lies in the boot process where it lights up but the screen remains black and the HARD drive activity light flashes once, the optical reader clicks like it normally does at the start, and all the normal power supply/battery lights are as they should be, but the laptop will not progress beyond that.
