Satellite 1415: Two outputs screen is not possible?

I would like to use the coaxial video output as a second screen. Is this possible? An explanation, in the cases where I'm being unclear. In essence, I would like to use the coaxial output as a second monitor as seen with computers with two monitors and the office is stretched between the two (the half being on one monitor, the other half is on the other monitor).

Reason being, I want to configure my laptop as a karaoke station. I would have to open the Windows Explorer and mediaplayer playlist on my laptop, while having the words "full screen" on television. Someone knows how can I do this?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Satellite 1415 seems to be designed for an American market. I didn t see in Europe or on the European sites.
Anyway, your description is clear and I think you want to use the extended desktop option. I use this too. It s very useful for someone who uses different applications together.

But it takes something cleat. Video out port (coaxial cable output) to play video DVDs on a projector or TV. It s not for external monitor connection.
The device also supports a RGB port (near parallel port) and this interface allows to connect an external monitor.

The extended desktop, you can turn on in the properties of the graphics card. Simply right-click on the desktop and select Properties.

  • Satellite A210 1AP - the screen does not turn

I had a problem about a month ago with my Toshiba Satellite A210-1AP, just that the screen did not turn. Was working on the computer, all the lights were on. The light that shows the HARD disc flickered, as usual, but with display always off. So I stop, and the next time I tried it was warking as usual, with display turned on, he asked if I want to start windows normally or in safe mode (as when it is restarted abnormally). Then worked normally for a few days, and then it happens again. At this point, I could not go to the service (computer was in warranty, and how do you prove that something happens sometimes if it happened there). So I continued to use it, and as the time past the problem was more often. So I decided to go to the service.

Guy in the service, said that the problem is the motherboard, so he changed the motherboard and it took months for him to do, and then when I called he said that it still does not. And maybe he has change rooms, display, graphics card is perhaps a problem, that he has not seen the problem like this...

So my question is do you know what could be the problem? And the second question is can I demand of him, because he went from 30 days to give me a new computer rather change all parties to this issue?

    Thank you
    Nikola

    Hi mate,

It's really hard to say what causes this problem, but I think that notebok technicians do a good job and they will be committed to repair your laptop as soon as possible. Maybe they ordered some new parts, but they are not available at this time

Theoretically, all that could be the reason of this problem FL inverter, LCD screen, motherboard, graphics card, cable, etc.

So I think you should call the technicians still what is the current status.
But I doubt that you can get a new laptop for free. If it of still under warranty, it will be repaired.

  • Satellite A210 (PSAELE) - output VGA does not

    Hello everyone,

I have an A200 PSAELE and I'm trying to connect it to an external monitor via VGA.
    The external monitor is a Medion 19 '' Widescreen with a resolution of 1440 x 900.

The problem is that I'm not able to get the external display to work.
I just get a message 'no signal' on my external monitor.

I tried various things, tried a different VGA cable, another monitor (Benq FP93G X) and another pilot.

I use Windows 7 Beta years tried to operate using Windows Vista Home Premium & Windows XP.
In the "settings for resolution," I tried using the button "recognize the screens."
When I use it, there is a second image of a screen like a box.
In this box, there is the following text: "Antoher display could not be found.

Regardless of the settings I use (clone, span,...) I can't do any image on my second screen.
I tried to change some settings in the BIOS without success and make a BIOS - Upadte Version 2.00, same problem.

I also tried to switch to the external display via the "Fn + F5" key, but nothing happens on the second screen.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance,

Hey Buddy, I have the solution for this problem. It's pretty easy.

Have you checked the user manual? I doubt that this is because only if you would know the solution for this problem.
In the user manual, you can find a list of the supported screen resolutions:
    -800 x 600
    -1024 x 768
    -1280 x 800
    -1280 x 1024
    -1600 x 1200
    -1920 x 1440
    -2048 x 1536

So I think that it of not possible to use the native screen resolution of 1440 x 900. :(

  • Satellite U920T-117 - touch screen does not work & off restarts

Just opened my new u920t-117, my first time buying a Toshiba, 5 mins in and excitement began to turn to you to worry.

I really hope that its makes me something simple, bad, or at worst a software problem.

At no time the touch function works (either in tablet mode or laptop).
In the--> system under Pen & Touch Panel it says "no net or touch entry is available for this view ' as my last computer that had no touch screen.

This means - there is a problem with the driver, or something.

It also appears when I click on stop down it stops down and 5 seconds later starts again.

    Hi stephen

    > I really hope that its hurts me something simple, or at worst a software issue.

I'm afraid the worst cases are a hardware malfunction, and I guess that your contact U920T Satellite malfunctions of the screen.

I read in another thread about the similar problem, and it seems that service engineers must be contacted in order to solve these problems of touchscreen.

I don't know if you could ask your dealer for a replacement unit but in the case where the dealer replace the laptop, get in touch with a Toshiba ASP your country to fix.

  • Satellite P50T-A-119 - screen does not work and recovery never ends

    Hello

    I have a Satellite P50t-A-119
The built-in screen no longer works:

The Toshiba leading innovation splash screen * never * appears on the * built-in screen *.

On a * connected external VGA-display * I see the following type of screens (if the machine was forced to stop, it can detect before if connected externally powered, another screen image any at all):
    -BIOS (after F2)
    -Boot (after F12)
-all screens simple to begin repairs (with a blue background).

I already tried all possible types of recovery (the recovery on the HARD drive partition, with 3 sets of recovery DVD), repair, refresh, never successful auto repair.

When I start a recovery from DVD (with the external screen), it wonder in order all DVD, copy the files, etc., request to restart the computer. Then after the Toshiba, Leading innovation splash screen appeared and shot a little, I * don't have an external display black-lightning *.
When I start a recovery from the HARD disk, the Toshiba leading innovation appears and for a long time increases %-complete. After a while (every 45 minutes approximately at 60%), I have the same situation: only an external black lightning.

This situation is already after I sent the machine (with the same symptoms) to Toshiba service center. They have reinstalled the recovery image (which I think was still okay) and charged me the equivalent of EUR 100, saying: there is no guarantee. When I got the machine I could actually begin as out of the box, after the updates first 83 (initiated by the preconfigured McAfee) and 2 reboots of the laptop is already more (hangs up, without the screen, etc.).

    So my questions:
-make anyone had similar problems? And a solution ;-)
-Doesn't he know about the procedures used by the service center to reinstall the recovery image (I'd like to be sure that it s warranty/defective material before I send it again)?
-A way to check the material?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Sorry to hear that you have all these problems with your laptop.
At first, I must say that I've never had such a problem and can not say with certainty what can be wrong there.

In my opinion, the main problem is the screen. It's OK that you try to use the external screen and try to solve this problem, but I think that recovery image installation is not solution for this. You wrote that your machine has been already verified by Toshiba service but I n t understand what was the problem with the display. Is everything is OK with the screen now or not?

    Back to the recovery image:
This is a user forum, and I think that no one here will be able to explain the policy of service exact Toshiba but, in my opinion, if you have long guaranteed valid, service provider is required to help you without taking any money except in special situations such as the removal of the BIOS password. So I don't understand why they took 100 euros for the recovery image installation.

I think you should contact the new service and explain the situation. Do some photos as proof of what exactly happens and tell them you want to have good rework the device. You paid for the new product, you have the guarantee and book must work. If there is problem, service should make the diagnosis, what is the problem and fix it.

Later when get back, creating you recovery media first. It can be DVD or USB. After having done this disabling automatic Windows update and when you will be informed about updates check the list and install important updates only. Do not install updates such display or WLAN driver.

Sorry, but I can't say much.

    Hello

To be honest I n don't know 100% what your problem is.
If you want to watch DVD movies on your computer with the help of a reader DVD Toshiba but the captain must be indicated on the external screen follow these steps:

When you have connected the HDMI cable (other) outside on the screen, use FN + F5 and switch to the external display only. When you see the desktop on the beginning of the display external Toshiba DVD player and I think that everything should be OK.

  • Satellite Pro P30 - 145 screen does not

Hi someone can help I have a Toshiba Satelite Pro30-145 computer and recently the screen started dimming and then exploded completely, the computer still works very well when a monitor is attached, is it possible redress (would it be cost effective) or shal I use as a desktop computer and buy new laptop.sadly, it is out of warranty, as I bought it I have 2005.

    Thanks in advance Paul

    Hello

technically a screen consists of 3 important elements.

-light source (TL-light, for the most part)
-an electronic device to stabelise the power of the light source
-a layer of lcd or tft screen

In your case I guess that since the light was dimming the light source and the lcd/tft layer is not serious
It seems more likely that it is the electronic unit or a loose device or embedded device.

In both cases your need to ask a price to a support center.

Maybe this electronic device is mounted in the screen, you need a new screen. Price?

    Greetings

  • Satellite R10-101: touch screen does not work in tablet mode

    Hello

    I just bought a Satellite R10-101 laptop / tablet.

The machine didn't come with a stylus, so I'm not sure if the touchscreen works or not.

When the machine is in tablet mode touch screen is unresponsive to a contact with a finger. I tried a pointing device of a Windows CE handheld that has a touch screen, but it does not work on the touch screen of the R10.

The touchscreen should be enabled or that I have to get a Toshiba stylus?

The computer is running Windows XP Tablet Edition. Will I get the same functionally if I update to Windows 7. Material of the R10 is compatible with Win 7?

Thank you for any help or advice.

    Hello

The display panel works as a touch sensitive digitizer screen.
You need the stylus to use the touch screen in tablet mode.

I think you can order the stylus lack of authorized partner Toshiba in your country or google for part numbers: P000407550 or P000445420

    Hey,.

I found the exact specs on Toshiba Australian page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/products/notebooks/satellite/U500/psu9ma-018013

On the screen, I found the following information:

  • Satellite U840W - Toshiba Split Screen does not work

    Hi all

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite U840w. I reinstalled a new version of windows 8 pro but I lost all the software by default.

I decided to download Toshiba Split Screen to enjoy my 21:9 screen, but the problem is that it does not work!

When I run it, I can open his window to turn it but it does not appear in the notification area, and nothing happens.

I don't really know what to do, I hope someone has a solution. Thank you.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

I guess you have not installed all necessary drivers, tools and utilities that are available on the page of the Toshiba UE driver.

Make sure that you have installed the software suite next to the Split Toshiba screen utility
    -Driver Toshiba system
    -Toshiba system configuration utility

  • On my Satellite C660-174 desktop screen does not open properly

I'm a newbie here so my question is maybe obvious to some, but not for me!

My laptop Satellite C660-174 (running Windows 7) ceased to open correctly. Everything is normal until my password is entered. Rather than open up to my "desktop" with its icons all on the side I get a page with a banner "Toshiba Leading Innovation" through it and only four random icons on the side.

How to restore my desktop screen and all the icons?

    Help will be appreciated.

It's really not easy to understand what you see exactly.
Can you please take a picture and send a link where we can see it?

I really don't understand what could be the problem, but what you can try is to start your machine with F8 and enter advanced startup options. Choose the entry 'Repair your computer', then press 'Enter '. Go forward until you enter the system recovery options. Try to system restore to earlier date. Perhaps this will help you solve problem described.

  • Satellite A200-PSAF6A - white screen, will not start

I've had for about a year or more now, out of warranty, and I had no problems so far. The operation of the machine is perfect, done a little warm here and there, but I never had blockages of material etc. The problem lies in the boot process where it lights up but the screen remains black and the HARD drive activity light flashes once, the optical reader clicks like it normally does at the start, and all the normal power supply/battery lights are as they should be, but the laptop will not progress beyond that. The power led remains blue and there is not much activity from the hard drive or any part of the material. This not even the screen of the BIOS at all. At some point, which I suppose because I can't see a pattern emerging in any form, the laptop will emit several beeps and the HDD led starts to blink signifying a boot up is ongoing, but the screen remains blank. At this point, if I turn off the laptop holding the power button / I am sometimes able to start with the display work, but once these things are depend on chance then sometimes it works and sometimes it isn't. Is that a real problem for me because I use this laptop for school and I get sometimes it will feed any or he will, and I'll have to wait a certain amount of time, which could be easily half the class and when he does the beep hard distracted others which is quite annoying.

Now, I went through a lot of similar topics and tried what was said, but to no avail of course. I tried to delete all the components (RAM, HDD, optical drive, Wifi etc.) and reinstalling them that sometimes only a temporary solution. In the RAM slot I have 800 mhz and 1x1GB 667 mhz-1x2GB, I tried various arrangements with the installed RAM and RAM I have around my house, but I have not yet come to a solution. I find that I can't start up with RAM in just the second slot, I guess it's probably normal, but if it's not please comment and tell me otherwise because I read about another solution to a similar problem a person should use the ram in the second slot to get his laptop to start.

My suspicion is that it's to do with a kind of BIOS check or maybe a BIOS corrupted, that I could not resolve without a technician because I am already in the current version of the BIOS. I did not update the BIOS that is not. If not then I'll assume that it is just a fault of power on the motherboard circuit. It's a really weird problem because it works quite well after, and I don't think it's a hardware problem perfectly serious because he wouldn't if it was.

Any help is appreciated on the topic, share your knowledge, if you have had a similar problem because whatever it is would be useful

    Thank you

    James

I'm not 100% sure but I think that the graphics card can be removed. Maybe you have enough experience with replacement of equipment, but laptop disassembly without maintenance manuals can be risky.
I really hope you know what you're doing. Maybe you should contact the nearest authorized and ask for help.

BTW: Where you want to get the new graphics card Satellite A200?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L350-20N.
I used it a week ago and it worked perfectly, all hard drive and all.
Then the next day I tried to turn on, I hear the fan turns and he's trying to boot from the disc. But the display does not illuminate.

I tried hard restart taking the battery thing.
I also checked that the RAM is fine.
I also tried to hook up to an external monitor, but it did not come with something.

What is the problem with my laptop?

P.S. I need to run as soon as I start teaching.

    Thanks in advance!

    > What is the problem with my laptop?
Motherboard problem? Maybe the CPU or GPU defective?
    Who knows

    Did you get that?
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter, press and hold the power button / stop along 30 sec.
Now connect the battery and the AC adapter and try power upward
If this does not help, your hardware has a serious problem

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
Did you do something that might be responsible for this? Something like the update of the BIOS?

Laptop will not start. Power led lights up. Fan turns for a few seconds then stops. HARD disk rotates. No display. No JOB.
Scratches it down. Nothing appears out of the ordinary.
Searched the web. This seems to be a common problem with Toshiba laptops.
Common fix is supposed to be the power button that is held for a minute or two with battery. This does not work in this case.
I would rather not throw the laptop in the bin...

Any ideas before doing the Act, would be greatly appreciated.

    Skips

Something like this can happen on any laptop so there is nothing directly with Toshiba or any other laptop manufacturer.
Sometimes this kind of behavior can occur after unsuccessfully BIOS updated. Have you can be made to update the BIOS or anything that may be responsible for this?

I can't say for sure, but somehow I think the BIOS is screwed.
