Thank you very much

You're right Michael. It is really an oldie
But I think I can help you

The European driver Toshiba page contains and have the download area and provides the drivers for these old machines.

  • Satellite P100: Where to find the BIOS 2.4 to get rid of overheating

    Hi all

Well well, it is for anyone who has had problems of overheating on the p100 or other such fan disturbances in vista or xp.

    Here is my story:
I bought a new p100 on seven 6th with Vista preinstalled and I found that I couldn't play because A) there was the problem of "stutter" B) my system overheats protection to stop the automatic to do.

So I spent a week of research forums and the bowls of the internet trying to find solutions for that.
The first most liley solution I found was to downgrade to XP, so I did... and that fixed the problems of stuttering during playback of dvd and while palying games!

However I have had overheating issues (I could only play games like oblivion for 10 minutes then boom).
The temperature of my system has been peeking at as 75 to 85 degrees, obviously this is not good. So I phoned a support technique toshiba and they told me to take it in an ASP and the look.

Well, it's a problem for me, because the nearest EPA is 4 hours away by rocket lol jk but it is plan Z.
So I looked more deeply into the darkest recesses of internet forums...

AND I THINK I FOUND THE ANSWER!

However, this requires downgradeing to the BIOS version2.40 who, after a week of research, I have been unable to find! :(

So my question... my please. Can someone tell me where I can find this particular version of the Bios?

If you have had similar problems, like that I can post a link to the forum (I've not worn to hand at the moment but I can get it if anyone wants) which I think has the answers but you should have a pretty good understanding of computer systems to try these fixes. I weeded ut who changes the ACPI settings does not work (for my system anyway)

Any help in locating BIOS v2.4 will be greatly appreciated

I wish you much luck, but I'm a little pessimistic about finding the old version of the BIOS. Please check this forum a bit better by using the advanced search option. I'm not 100% sure but I think I read the similar topic some time ago. Maybe you can find the user who wrote this version of BIOS. Check her profile here and write on his e-mail address, if any.

  • Satellite A105 - where to find the new version of the BIOS?

WHERE CAN I FIND NEW BIOS UPDATES FOR A - 105 SATELLITE?

    @nnviswam62

On the Web sites recommended by feliks, I found many units A105.
So I think you should check your laptop model exactly because the incorrect BIOS may damage the motherboard.
So be careful. I'm talking about my personal experience. Bad BIOS can do a lot of trouble.

  • Where to find the Bios for Satellite M100-221 unofficial

Where can I find the bios unofficial for M100-221? My bios has too few parameters.

    Unofficial BIOS?
What do you mean with unofficial BIOS? All downloadable versions of BIOS are official versions of BIOS!

Do you know that the update of the BIOS is a bit risky! Isn't it?
The incorrect BIOS may cause damage to the motherboard so you want to use a non-official BIOS on you laptop?

    I don t think so

  • Satellite L500D - 16K - where to find the new updates?

    HY guys,.

When I bought my Satellite L500D - 16K, I complained in forums dedicated to this notebook page contained very few pilots. After some time, a week or two, she 'suddenly' populated with drivers for everything. Now, after verification not for awhile, the model everything just disappeared from the model list! There is no L500D - 16K here!

The automatic detection tool, which has worked before, now says your model is not found. Even if I search by serial number, the system can not find! Is not professional at all.

Any idea where I should look for to see if new updates appeared?

    Hi Glady,

What Toshiba page you are looking for exactly?
AFAIK Satellite L500D - 16K belongs to European laptops models and so you must search on this page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

On the European page click support & downloads > download drivers. The next page you will find:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

He's looking for series Satellite L500D and PSLTHE and you can find the new updates for her! :)

  • Satellite L350 - where to find the latest driver for graphics card?

    I have a Satellite L350.
I installed a game (EVE online) and it works as it should; However when I use alt - tab, the game crashes.
It is not supposed to do this, and on the other PC it does not crash.

I contacted the technical support for the game itself, and after reading my dxdiag, they concluded that it was because my drivers are up to date.

They said specifically the graphics and audio drivers are the cause of the problem.
I have a Mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family graphics card, and the driver is dated 06/12/2008.
my sound card is realtek audio and is dated 11/02/2006.
I tried to update the graphics card on the site of intel, but the program tells me the installation was not validated for this computer and I had to contact the manufacturer.

Anyone know where to find the updates compatible with computers laptop toshiba?

    Yours sincerely,
    LTA

    Hello trouble

Please remember you have laptop and not of office. What you have done is just and it will help with the office, but on laptops, the situation is very different.
Graphics card is suitable for the use of the laptop by Toshiba and downloaded driver from the manufacturer of the graphics card can not be installed.

As you know probably common problem with laptops is heat and temperature of the material must be controlled. Graphics card too high temperature can ends with overheating and book cut or damage the equipment. Toshiba laptop to protect material must ensure on the pilots and don t allow to run on the limit.

I must also say that your laptop is not game machine.

    Hello

I would not recommend to download and install the BIOS on Toshiba Canada website!
As far as I know your laptop was designed for the European market and you should always use the driver, BIOS of the Toshiba site European and tools!

But I agree with dnf666. If the laptop works properly it s not necessary to update the BIOS!
And note: the bad BIOS or bad BIOS can damage the module ROM!

On the Toshiba page, you will find a teaching how BIOS should be updated on several models of laptops!

  • Satellite Pro A200 - question on the BIOS update

I have a Satellite Pro A200 (PSAE7E) with Windows Vista and XP that have been installed recently.
In the driver of Toshiba page (BIOS update) says:

"This Bios is only compatible for portable computers with Windows Vista!"

    (1) should I update my BIOS (1.4) or it'll be a problem for my windows XP?

    (2) anyone has try?

    (3) is there documentation on the BIOS updates (bug fixes, etc.)?

    Hello

I will try to be very short with answers:
    1. If you use Windows XP Home edition on your laptop have BIOS update with the version 5.30
2 this version of BIOS is available for days and it is possible that many people already tried. By the way: until Toshiba out something that is tested and verified.
    3. Unfortunately there is documentation about bugs and patches, but the fact is that Toshiba has designed the 5.30 version to support the features of Windows XP Home edition on the models of laptops designed Vista

Where can I find the version of the BIOS, My F keys do not work and maybe the new version fix it (BTW I use XP SP3)

    Hello

It seems that all drivers for some older series of laptops have been moved to ARCHIVE.
So please first select the Archive.
Then satellite Satellite Pro Pro Satellite Pro M30 M

There, you can find all the drivers and BIOS.

BUT NOTE; the update of the Bios will not help you to get the Fn keys work.
You should first try to reinstall the * common Modules *, then the * utilities Hotkey for display devices *.

  • Satellite A300 - where to find the update of the eSATA driver?

    Hello

I recently bought an external hard drive with eSata. I spent money on eSata because my laptop Satellite A300-1MX had an eSata port.
Yesterday, I tested eSata outside, and the transfer speed is slower than normal USB 2.0. I tried to contact the hard drive company and they told me to update my eSata drivers.
I tried searching eSata drivers for my laptop on google and on the toshiba site, but could not find.

Could someone help me with this, or where to find eSata update drivers for my laptop? PSAGCE is the type of my laptop.

    Thank you!!

    Hello

Go to the page of the Toshiba driver and update the chipset utility:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/online.jspa

ESATA, usb 2.0, all these are related to the motherboard, so utility chipset should fix.

-do you have any experience by changing the fan? mine makes sounds that belong not here...
-How long in your experience can take to get a response from toshiba support by e-mail? IM waiting 3 days now... :(

    Thank you

    Hello!

I can t find a log of the changes on the Toshiba site also but why do you want to upgrade the BIOS? In my opinion a BIOS update should only be done if you have problems with your laptop or something else.
Never touch a running system! ;)

Before you exchange the fan you need to clean using a jet of compressed air. This could blow the dust from the cooling fans, and you should do from time to time.
