  • Convert binary (Blob) image file to string base64 on PlayBook?

    I need to download image files of the PlayBook to a Web server.

    When you use BB10, it's pretty easy, basically just using reader.readAsBinaryString (file) to get the file as a string, encode in Base64, then send it with xml.send(fileData). Which works very well with my Z10.

    But the PlayBook seems to have its own file system that does not work the same as handling BB10. I can read the file very well with blackberry.io.file.readFile (path, pbOpenImageFile)image, but it gives me just the Blob. How can I get this Blob converted a Base64 string for sending with xml.send (fileData)?

    blackberry.utils.blobToString (blobData) doesn't seem to work, at least not with my image data (works very well with my text files however). He also apparently has a size limit that could be a problem with the images anyway.

    Is it possible to get that converted to a string in Base64 Blob?

    I have it.

    Take the idea of here something like:

    var can = document.getElementById ('canvas');
    var can.getContext ('2d') = CTX;
    var img = document.getElementById ('tweetpic');
    ctx.drawImage (img, 0, 0);
    var b64Text = can.toDataURL ();
    b64Text = b64Text.replace ("data : image/png;") Base64,', ");
    var fileData = b64Text;

    And then xml.send (fileData); as usual

  • How can I view individual files that have been backed up? I will restore all files, not just a few specific?

    Recently, I backed up my files, such as registered and deleted from my HARD drive.  Restarting resolved a number of issues.  Now, I need to restore specific files a few I.e. 'my music '.  How can I find and restore individual files or folders WITHOUT restoring those that were responsible for the problems that CAUSED problems.  I want to remove most of the backup and save a few folders/files.

    How can I watch them?  I tried to 'Search' for 'my music' and some specific mp3 and names without success.

  • Must system image file be in the same place, that it was created for Windows 7 to detect when you perform the system restore?

    When you restore system files and settings from a system image, the WindowsImageBackup folder must be in the location that it was created?

    -For example -.

    I create an image system on an external HARD drive, then later I want to do a restore of the system from this image, the WindowsImageBackup folder must be in the same place, it was created (in this example, the root of the external HARD disk) for Windows 7 to detect?

    Hi Keylonta,

    Yes, it should be in the same hard disk and if it is not listed in the system restore point it is not possible to locate or detect the folder "WindowsImageBackup.

  • I need to restore the with the Toshiba Satellite P200 recovery disk

    I also need to restore my P200 with the Toshiba CD. There is a note on the Pocket: insert the CD, power off, turn on with press F12, select the drive and follow the explanations. I wonder if it is possible to reformat just the 2nd disc.

    I can confirm what sascha wrote. I have Satellite A300 with 2 hard drives and via recovery DVD you can simply install OS on the first HARD disk. The second HDD is not visible for a second and Toshiba software engineers have designed to work with the first HARD disk only.

  • Problems of restoration Satellite 5100 503

    Hi all
    I have a Toshiba Satellite 5100 503, and its hard drive has malfunctiond, so I had to replace it with a new, but now I can't use the restore CD I got with the computer.
    Could someone help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

    > but continues to load windows
    How laptop computer can load windows if the new HARD drive is not contains a BONE?
    Or have you installed the Win operating system on any other way?

    To me, it seems that the laptop does not start on the recovery CD.
    The drive cannot read recovery CD because of the fault of CD or disk failure.

    Have you checked whether it of possible to boot from another bootable CD s?

    Tip: try to set the BIOS default and safe settings. Then turn on the laptop and press F12 immediately after starting the laptop. The start menu should appear and you should be able to choose the CD as a boot device.

    Hello everyone, I really need someone who could help me get an image file (ROM or BIN) bios for my laptop HP dv6-7204AX ENVY.

    For some reason, after that cleaning my fan cpu and everything put back toghether I had accidentally damaged the bios, because the electric sock, that's what the tech guy said :-(

    My computer is now automatically power on whenever I plug the adapter and nothing start (only caps lock led flashing continuously1time and black screen)

    Thank you

    Hello kieuminhuy... I'm sorry that you are having this problem with your ENVY dv6!

    kieuminhuy, you can go to the page of downlopad 7200 WANT dv6 to download and run the SoftPAQ BIOS proper.  You do not have to run this SoftPAQ on the failed system - it should work on any system!  When you run the SoftPAQ, chose the option to copy the image file of the BIOS to another location (see below).

    I hope this helps!

  • I need help to restore a file that I saved on a CD? Just the basics will help you.

    I have a skeleton of my Microsoft Money file on my hard drive.  I have my information saved on a floppy disk, but also a CD.  Just, I don't know how to restore the file and can not seem to find it anywhere.  Thank you.

    Copy files from a CD-ROM to a hard drive

    To copy files from a CD-ROM to a hard disk:

    1. If you already have a folder on your hard disk to contain the files from your CD-ROM, note the full path to your folder (for example, C:\Pictures, D:\Images, and so on) and proceed to step 2. If you do not have a folder for your files, create a new folder:

      1. Click Start, point to programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
      2. Click on the hard drive to contain the new folder. On the file menu, point to new, and then click folder.
      3. Type a descriptive name for your folder and press ENTER. For example, if you want to copy the image files on your hard drive, you can name the folder images, Images or another descriptive name. Note the full path to your folder (for example, C:\Pictures, D:\Images, and so on) and then close Windows Explorer.
    2. Click Start, point to programs, and then click MS-DOS prompt.
    3. At the command prompt, navigate to the CD-ROM drive, and then navigate to the folder that contains the files to be copied. For example, if you want to copy the files in the folder of the drivers on the Windows 98 CD-ROM and your CD-ROM drive is drive D, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
      d:
      cd\
      Drivers CD
    4. Copy the files from the source to the CD folder in the folder on your hard drive. To continue the previous example, if your source folder is the folder of the drivers on the Windows 98 CD-ROM, your CD-ROM drive is drive D and you want to copy files to the C:\Drivers folder, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
      Copy *. * c:\drivers
      output

  • Need help with manual XP restore point files to copy

    Hello

    I have a Sony VAIO VGC-RB40 with XP SP3 Desktop installed.  I had a module of RAM go bad and it crashed my system.  I pulled the bad RAM and am able to boot into Windows, but there are some things corrupt as I can not drag and drop, IE does not work, some functions of the system are tangled Windows, etc..   More important still, System Restore does not in my current state, so I can't go back to a previous good restore point.  I backed up my important data, but I'm trying to restore my system back again without wiping everything and start again.  Have followed instructions to manually copy the files to restore to a previous good point point to work around this problem, I'm stuck.  An example of instructions I'm following are here: http://www.aitechsolutions.net/winxpnoboot.html

    At this point, I have all of the necessary registry hive files from a copied previous good restore point in a temp directory ready to crush the current (bad) registry files, but ran into several problems:

    (1) no XP Recovery Console - I need to start a prompt to copy the files to restore onto they're blocked if you're on Windows, but I do not have RC installed since my XP Sony came pre-installed.  All I have is a recovery disc I made which does not let me do anything except wipe my drive and re - install or fix some applications only.  So I downloaded an iso file from XP RC online and made a boot disk that works very well.  Problem is that it doesn't let me recognize my SATA Western Digital C drive:-I see only H:\Minint available through RC, which does not help me.  My understanding is that I need to have the SATA driver files available to use F6 to load these at startup RC so that it recognizes the C: drive.

    (2) so I tried to find the drivers to copy on a diskette to use F6 to install the necessary files, I need to recognize the drive within the RC, but I had no chance.  My Sony has the driver chipset Intel 915 G/P/GV v. 6.0.0.0.1014 and I went on the Sony website but the download is for an installer automatically installs the original drivers that I don't want to do.  I want just the files so I can copy them to a floppy disk.  I also looked on my hard drive and found a directory of the Intel driver then I copied all the files on a diskette in the hope that he would.  But when I tried F6, it says to a file "txtsetup.oem" that isn't there.  He may miss some INF files as well, I'm not sure.  So basically, I still can't boot from the drive RC and recognize my C: to copy the restore point files.

    (3) I also watched my BIOS to see if I can change a setting to enable the SATA drive being recognized as IDE, by some suggestions, I found online.  Problem is my BIOS settings do not seem to have any compatibility option, at least, I don't see one.  When I choose my WD200JD-98HBC0 drive in the BIOS, the 5 options are: LBA/large Mode, block Mode and PIO Mode, Mode DMA S.M.A.R.T.  The first 2 have only choices Auto / disabled.  PIO mode is Auto/0/1/2/3/4 options that I don't understand.  DMA mode has a lot of options, I do not understand.  So unless there is a setting here allows me to have my C: recognized on startup through the RC disk, I don't know?

    (4) my last idea unless someone can help me understand how to recognize my C: is if I remove the disc from my office and put in a USB enclosure and connect it to my laptop.  Then from there, peux I just manually copy these files over to the windows/system32 folder?  Which is equivalent to boot the system through RC and to do or is there something I'm missing here?  It seems the same to me, as long as I can access those bad registry files and overwrite them with 'good', isn't that do the same thing?

    Suggestions of other ways that I can restore my system would be appreciated!  If I can just do an XP repair which would also work, but still I am not sure that my Sony recovery disk allows me to do this?

    Thank you
    Shawn

    As I read, what you're asking for basically is a way to start your machine so that you can move the files on it to try to repair.  Instead of using a Recovery Console, try to create a free "Hirens Boot CD"
    Hirens Boot CD: <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/ >
    You can start your machine of this and should be able to move the files.  I am not absolutely certain that it handles the SATA drives, but I could not find a machine yet it wouldn't start and access hard drive.  Choose "Mini Windows XP" on the first screen.  It focuses on the windows in order to run a Chkdsk on your hard disk (recommended) in addition to move the files.

    Another alternative is to boot your machine from a free Linux Live CD like Knoppix or Ubuntu.
    Knoppix <> http://www.knoppix.net/ >
    Ubuntu <> http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download >
    If you choose Ubuntu, don't forget that it is an installation disc and you * not * to install.  Choose the option "Try Me" instead.  One of these you will start to Linux and to recognize certainly your SATA drive.  This will allow to move the files, but will not perform a repair disk.  Be careful about editing text files as Linux uses an end of line character different than Windows.

    Hello

    The hard drive is wiped with a clean reinstall.

    You can try this free program to recover your files; no warranty if.

    http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva

    And the more you use this computer, you have less chance of recovering anything.

    The next step would be experts in data recovery; who are expensixe.

    Hi korgmeister,

    1 when was the last time it was working fine?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. are you able to access all Web sites?

    First of all, I suggest that you try to download the file with Windows internet explore.

    If you are able to download using Windows internet explore, then there may be a problem with the Firefox browser.

    Uninstall and reinstall Firefox browser and check.

    If you are facing a similar issue when you use Internet explore, then it may be Internet problem try to download some other file or document check if it works.

    Also contact your internet service provider to check if the connection side there is fine.

    Go back with the results!

    I hope this helps!
