  Make sure you know the name of your template before you install a driver!

  The topic of this thread is "Dell inspiron 15R n5010 no sound, Windows 10. The problem is that there is no model with this exact name. There is an Inspiron N5010 from 15and an Inspiron 15R N5110.

  They are different models and different drivers. In other words, the audio driver for the N5010 is not intended for the N5110 and vice versa.

  To complicate matters, someone named aimeehuang posted in this thread and put in a link named "dell 15r n5010 drivers download. But if you click on the link it goes to a page for Inspiron 15R N5110.

  The person named 'aimeehuang' is not used on this discussion forum and probably got confused model names.

  Check the name of your model. If you have an Inspiron 15 N5010, use driver IDT audio R280657. It is intended for Win7, so install in Win10 using compatibility mode (instructions below).

  If you have an Inspiron 15R N5110, use the IDT 6.10.0.6421 audio driver. It is intended for Windows 8. He could install without problems in Win10, but if there is a problem, install it using compatibility mode (instructions below).

  1. download and save the audio driver on your computer or to any location on the hard drive...
  2. double-click on the new folder to extract (unzip) the files of the driver.
  3. the wizard of the extractor will create a new folder for the driver files. It will be located at the "c:\dell\drivers\xxxxxx". Note the exact location that the wizard creates.
  4. If the driver begins to install automatically, stop (cancel) installation.
  5. search for the driver files on the hard drive (the location you noted).

  I bought this Dell laptop the year last with Windows 8. It became slow after a month or two, but I was able to use it. I never installed any Application. I basically used it to watch movies and Email. Last week when I said booted.it 'Check media' and did not start at all.

  I checked on the Web site and ran the diagonstic test - all shows good. what I really need to reset this laptop to factory default settings.

  My doubt is that... Probably my Anti Virus would have expired, and it is the reason for all this trouble. Can I buy Norton or Kaspersky Antivirus and install it if my laptop is restored to the default factory settings.

  The black2 is essentially a 120G SSD for the system - which IS supported by your model.  The hard drive is not even considered by the hardware of the system - it is managed by a pilot who is in charge (that's why the Black2 depends on the OS).  Windows accesses the HDD while software - NOT directly by the system.

Try this update package and display your results. As I've already restored to windows 8. It will take at least 4 to 6 hours to update me the State.   I should add that, first of all, I have improved my previous windows (W8.1 to W10 pro and everything worked perfectly (including the wireless network card) until I did a clean install of W10 pro... everything works fine except the adapter.)

  Also tried the drivers from the website of the manufacturer (DELL)... but no driver is listed for my card. I tried even to those who are listed IE wireless Dell 1703/1705/1901 & Dell Wireless 1704, but none of them worked. Also given a test for the drivers supplied by Intel... but has not worked.

  Well... seems that driver is not yet or I'm just missing.
  However when I search the drivers for another OS (like W8.1)... my driver for the card is registered, so South I return to W8.1 for now or just wait for the new drivers...!

  Well... I've set things on mine!

  What have I done?

  Yet once, I did a clean install of W10... updated my drivers except the ones adapter!

  Instead of using the latest drivers, I downloaded the drivers for Bluetooth and Wi - Fi for an OS as W8 diffenent... even if I was not convinced that they r going to work... but anyway... thought to give it a try!
  AND THIS FIXED EVERYTHING!

  The drivers installed without hassle!
  AND EVERYTHING WORKS FINE NOW!

  I've had my Dell inspiron 15r 5537 during about 8 months now and noticed that the built-in webcam is black and white and it was fine when I got my laptop.
