  I have a Toshiba Satellite A110 - 293 Notebook. There is a problem with the audio for laptop, the sound seems to lack Bass.   Device Manager and choose the IDE (IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller) channel
  Remove from the list of devices, then restart the laptop.

  Once rebooted laptop new material has been recognized, again go to Device Manager and go to the properties of the IDE channel.
  Here you should check if the transfer mode has been set to DMA if available.
