  I have a Toshiba Satellite A110 - 293 Notebook. There is a problem with the audio for laptop, the sound seems to lack Bass. When I play a music file, the bass is abnormal, there is no bass or bass is not clear.   Maybe the lens can not handle the DVD because of a physical constraint.
  In most cases, the lens can not calibrate properly and therefore different media would not work.

  If the drive is not listed in Windows Explorer can you please let us know what status a CD/DVD drive in Device Manager (is there an error message like code-xxx)?
