Satellite A200-1 has 9 (PSAE0): 3 yellow dots in the device under Win XP Manager

I can not use Vista, as most of my apps does not work. Back to XP Pro OK and added the drivers for Audio, Ethernet, video OK - only have 3 yellow dots in controller of N/W now - device mass storage, the Device Manager (although it works OK) and SM bus controller. Any ideas on solving them?

More big prob using FN keys especially for the display that I use a projector a lot of switching (F5). Could use the FN + F5 to switch to video ext but it will switch back until the reboot. Following the advice on this Forum installed to control drivers of and Hotkey Utility. What made it worse-, it can not pass again to display Ext. uninstalled the control and shortcut key via Control Panel but cannot uninstall the drivers of control - still cannot change the display.

(a) how can I remove control drivers so at least get some features (without having to reinstall XP)
(b) what is the real fix for this problem?

It is no possible to ask Toshiba support directly (or at least I can't find it on their website rather tortuous!)

Someone, somewhere, I need to know what I can do!

Hello

Have you downloaded and used all the XP drivers available from the European pilot of Toshiba page?
On this page, you will be able to find all of the necessary XP drivers and installation instructions.
Please refer to installation instructions!

Did you also install utility Intel chipset available on the Toshiba driver?
Please do it!

Good bye

Who knows buddy what's happening and what you do with your laptop. I can tell you just one thing. If you don't have operating system and laptop under control feature, I recommend you back up all your important data and install OS using recovery DVDs.
After doing this you will have factory again and everything works well again.

Maybe some updates from Microsoft have had bad influence on drivers.

    Hey Buddy

I can confirm the info posted by Gantz. The Win XP needs a driver extra SATA.
The SATA driver is a part on the Intel Matrix Storage Manager and can be downloaded from the Toshiba page or from the Intel Web site.

But listen; This theme seems to be one of the top 10 questions and it has already been discussed here in the forum. Then, use the advanced search option and check the other assignments for the Intel Storage Manager!

    Hello

In my opinion, you should contact the Toshiba ASP.
Usually after registration for laptop, the guarantee must be valid for 2 years and all part replacements must be covered there warranty.

My recommendation is; make a call to the ASP and ask for assistance and handling of the Fryer

    Good luck

    Hello

This download page: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com (Support & downloads), you already know, I found the drivers wireless LAN, lan and modem devices. Can hardly imagine that these drivers do not work.

Another question is, how do you connect your laptop with ISDN? Normally, you use an ISDN card to do this work.
Have you tried hardware analysis such as everest programs? Useful tool for finding specific information of material.

I'm sure there must be a driver of your computer ethernet controller, as I have already referred to the Support & downloads page.

  • Satellite A200 - 14 d - i.LINK and FireWire - it's the same thing?

    Hi, guys :)

Well, I'm about accurately - and a new external hard drive My Book by W * digital Stern (the Studio Edition with 1 TB of storage).
So I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 14 d. I read in the manual to my laptop it has port i.LINK (IEEE 1394-a).

Ext.hard My Book drive has FireWire 400/800. I read on the internet that FireWire and i.LINK are the same for the IEEE 1394 standard.
They're just different names. i.LINK is by S * ny and FireWire is by Ap * the Inc. Because I'm not sure I would ask here: if I connect an external device (in my case - ext.hard drive) which is supposed to be with the ability to connect via FireWire 400/800 to my laptop i.LINK port, there will be a kind of incompatibility?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Yes, i.Link, firewire or IEEE 1394 has the same meaning. ;)

    Hi all!

I can't understand what is the problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAE3)... I downloaded all the files on the right of the Toshiba Download Center, updated the BIOS to WXP but XP still not find any sound card or any modem. He isn't finding a device with a "?" question mark on this...

There are so many different drives, I tried, but no one has changed the situation...
    Anyone has any advice?

    Thanks in advance,

    ciroopi

Well, I found the solution to the problem! :)

so, I write these verses down for anyone who might know the same problems:

as usual, strictly follow the 'Toshiba A200 Installation sequence' found on the TOshiba driver download page.
as he [I jumped no useful installation programs]

I advice restart you each time you install a component, in order to have under control the whole Exchange.

    1 Windows XP Service Pack2 (RTM) - of course ;) -.
    [...]
    DirectX V9.0c 5 (SP2)
    Windows Media Player 10 V10.00.00.4036 6
    [...]
    10 Microsoft .NET Framework V1.1.4322 (SR1)
    11 Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment V1.6.0
    12 Intel ICH8M Chipset utility V8.2.0.1014
    13 Intel VGA driver 6.14.10.4833 965GM

Note that driver VGA, the ATI we too, was also a difficulty - in fact, I don't know what it would have done - for the AUDIO sound card.
You may have read in the installation dialog box.

Moreover, I do not know if you must install the sun java, .NET framework and WMP version that displays the list, versions that are OLDER than the most recent, but just to be sure, download the form versions THAT NET.

at this point, you should see "unknown PCI device" in the unknown devices in the system control panel.

    14 Realtek ALC268 Audio Driver V5.10.0.5433

for realtek, I suggest you download the driver from the zip from the realtek download page; Once extracted from the latest version for desktop or a temp directory, I suggest to install before all the patch KB888111 you might find in the \WDM_Rxxx\MSHDQFE.

    then restart.

for now, you should not see the "unknown PCI device" no more where it was before, but under the "system devices", like her, where you could also end the "Intel PCI Express Root Port", "Pci Bus" and so on [ja? m saying this to you because ja? m Italian aid of XP, and I don't remember the exact English names...].

Now, install the audio drivers by using the setup.exe that you find in the \WDM_Rxxx directory.
It should reinstall the kbfix and install the new drivers.

    Reset.

After the reboot, nothing happens, but...

.. see the "unknown pci device" menu - here? m not sure the name but the one with the exclamation mark in the 'system devices' - select 'Properties' and then 'driver' and 'update driver'. Let XP find the NOT on the net. tell XP to look for "Video and Audio Controller, game" [you know, the English entry that usually stands for device audio and similar] and he must find a CORRESPONDING driver, which is the "MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER for HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO".
If XP don't select this driver by itself, you should look for "\windows\system32\DRIVERS\hdaudbus.sys".

After that, XP automatically detects ALL audio devices and install the correct drivers.
In addition, it now the entrance to the modem, modem to install the separate driver, that we could find in down in the "list system", like her, on the Toshiba download page.

    So, hope this helps!

    See you soon,.
