I plugged the charger of th in the wall (the rope was not in the portable t this point) where I got was a sound signal.
I connected the rope in the laptop to find he does not load (like no light has come)

Someone at - it help him?

The agreement on the charger doesn't even have to be in the laptop for you beep to occur.
This has happened before, I did not plug things in randomly inside and out for a bit, this time without success.

Any help?

My laptop I on like 15% power and I can not use :'(

Hello

Are some lights on the adapter is plugged?
Are there signs of the power available from the adapter?

If this is not the case then the adapter is maybe defective and I think it would be a good idea to ask a technician to the ASP for a verification of the material

  • How know to what Satellite A200 defective adapter belongs?

    Hello

I have two toshiba (Satellite A200-*) computers laptops & accessories (the two Portuguese).

One of the AC adapter does not work since last week.
    Flow to ASP.
But how do I know which defective laptop that belongs?

They look exactly the same (http://i32.tinypic.com/2wd33n6.jpg),
I only see differences on the other side, in the barcode (a GMR200606EU0-A02-085D-10385, the other GMR200606EU0-A02-088F-56394).

I can't find any corresponding information with adapters, or at the bottom of the laptop or the original box.

Just a guess, maybe it's a way to send information to both laptops and adapters to Toshiba, so they can tell me which is the correct...

    Can someone guide me?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Usually it s no matter which adapter that you will use.
Important only the values of output; The Volt value must be exactly the same.
So if your computer supports 19V you take a power adapter 19V.
The value of intensity can be a little different, but if two adapters support exactly the same values, then you should not be worried, both can be used

  • Satellite A200 and Win7 - problem loading the graphics driver

Hi guys I have a problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAF6A).
I installed windows 7 just now, now half the time when I start the computer it displays a message on windows encounters a problem loading the graphics drivers and the resolution is terrible. When I restart immediately, most of the time, it loads fine - no message and a good resolution. I tried many driver reinstall but it is always the case.
Someone knows what's the problem? Is this with windows 7, or do you think the graphics card can be on the road to extinction?

Thanks for your help, a lot.
    -Chris

    Hello

It was ok before installing windows 7? I don't think it's a hardware problem. Have you installed the driver for the Toshiba driver page?

  • Satellite A200 - recovery disk problems

I just bought the (all new store big tech) Satellite A200 for a few months and not used because I was on business trip to take. This weekend, I opened it up and running for a while.

After that I read the manual and found that I need to create a recovery from the tools provided disk. However, the problem start here:

    1. when I click on "Recovery Disc Creator", a message is display "no HDD Recovery area!, the toshiba Recovery Disc creator cannot be launched."

2 then I call center service support and to inform that there is a problem with the "recovery disk creator" and I have to retrieve the laptop using the hard drive partition recovery (waiting when 0 turning on the system) and the next step is complete:
    a. the laptop's boot in the recovery screen function.
    b. when I try to "restore windows PC" (option 3), it is display and error message on file not found.
    c. when I try to click on "restoring the recovery disk" (option 5), it asks me to put in the recovery disk which I do not have?

NOTE: I'm sure that the hidden recovery partition is therre. 1.46 GB. There is no way that I can access the hidden partition from a normal windows vista screen (without drive letter).

Then, I called the support center again (now what difference person support) and to inform you that:

    1. my recovery partition is corrupted and I need to get the recovery disk again (which I did not), it's going to cost me AUD $66 (I got from HP one and cost me AUD $15 and will be free if I come and Pick-up) for administrative costs. And it is a procedure.

    2. I explain to the support staff that it is brand new in the box laptop and I consider it as defective on arrival (DOA or FOA.

    3. I also ask what causes the problem and has been a consultant with the following reason:
    a. I may have deleted the partition accident (impossible because I still can start on the recovery partition, but can not recovery which all).
    b. There may be a virus infect in my laptop which was remove my recovery file in the hidden partition (ridiculous, you can delete some files in the drive on which you cannot yet access).
    c. I should create a recovery disc when the first time LAPTOP computer service. Which it is recommended, I get a question that if I do not, or I forgot to do so, this means that the software will automatically delete the system restore image file? I have no answer for that.

State (when I try to post this messgae), I'm still waiting for the staffs of complaint call fomr back (very tie when you talk in support of service these days).

NOTE 2: I would like to raise these issues, not because I want something (I do both IT support) complaints but I just want to solve the problem:

    1. is there some sort (software) allow me to access the hidden drive in and out of recovery disc image, my laptop still have the partition.

    2. is there a link I can download image recovery (in iso format) disc again? I've known it is not a question of wise, but when I ask the support staff that can re - install windows vista with the license key from the bottom of the laptop and has advised that it is not work or turn on.

    3. is there someone out there has similar problem

    Hi Thomas

I have a European model A200 (don t know what you model is) and the A200 was NOT equipped with the option of HARD drive recovery! This means that you cannot create your own recovery disk!
My laptop came with the Toshiba Vista recovery DVDs!

Still is it that your 1.46 GB hidden partition is not the Toshiba recovery partition but Vista hidden partition. It contains the WinRE files that are useful for repairing the operating system if something will go wrong!

Second, the Toshiba Recovery folder is too big for the partition of 1.46 GB!
So it is not possible that it would be placed on this s partition!

So finally, it seems that you will not be able to create the own recovery disk and therefore, you have to order it from the ASP in your country.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite A200-12V driver problem

I bought a Satellite A200-12V during the Christmas sales and decided to downgrade the OS from Vista to XP SP2.
I went during the major part of the allocation of this forum and installed XP on the machine. (after wake the mobile ICH8 driver and the bus driver from realtek on xp drive).
I also install the driver for the graphics chip, the driver LAN and wireless trouble-free device driver at all. (Also Windows update as well).

The only problem I am facing is whenever I try to install the chipset driver or other drivers as mass storage device drivers (I think that's going to be the TI card reader driver), touchpad, key software are supported on Fn and the Chicony Camera Assistant Software from the Toshiba driver, I always had a blue screen of death just after the restart. Even if I had a created restore point before the installation of the driver, the machine jumps to the blue screen just after the restoration of the system.

I have flashed the BIOS to the version for XP... and I have no idea on what to do next if it executes correctly.

I hope that someone in this forum can make me light in solving this mystery. It's a real pain after you have reinstalled XP on the same HDD during more than 20 times of testing and errors. ; p

    Hello

For me there is no sense to install any driver if you have had no success with chipset installation. Driver chipset is the basis for other stuff for me. I installed Windows XP SP2 Pro family edition several times on different A200 and P200 successfully. The BIOS is the version of Windows XP Home edition and it is very good. Please use the Windows XP SP2 home edition installation. After the fresh install of WXP follow the instructions facilities document (if available) and please follow this order of the facilities. It is very important.

Same problem with my computer, but even worse because when I push button FN of my computer crashes. Nobody seems to know the solution. If you can, uninstall all versions of VAP, you have and try to reinstall one with advanced options, common Module is checked and pray. I think that some components of vista update is related to the normal working FN.

  • Satellite A200-1VP - Wireless problem

    Hello

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.
    Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG wireless card.
    2 GB of ram.
    Intel core 2 duo t5250 - 1.5 ghz
    160 GB

Recently, the wireless on my laptop has stopped working, I think that this is due to the switch wlan on the bottom of the laptop. Before it used to work perfectly. But a few days ago I started the laptop and the wireless did not work. I took a glance on the switch and it seemed to be extinguished (no orange), even if it was to position it. It was weird. It does not pick up wireless networks, but there are loads because I checked on my brothers laptop computer.

    That's what I tried.
first thing I did was to switch to stop, then press it. No chance!
Then I left in the off position and restart the laptop. Then he walks. No chance! still no light.
Then I checked the Device Manager, everything seemed fine. He says that the wireless card worked properly.

Another thing to note is that the device has not been disabled, I tried fn + f8, but has not made a difference.

It's the 1 year warranty ended last month.

Any help on that would be great.

    Good news buddy. ;)

  • Satellite A200 does not correctly reduce or increase the volume

    Hello

Our Satellite A200 is having problems with its Volume control wheel.
If I turn the wheel (on the left or in the past), it does not correctly to reduce or increase the volume level.
He jumps rather the volume level in seemingly random directions (with a preference for the volume).
Turn the wheel slowly improves responsiveness a little, but it remains quite impossible to increase or decrease the volume control that to be.

BTW, I am well aware that the volume control wheel is a wheel of puls-encoder rather than ye olde potentiometer.

-Can anyone you tell me where I can find the configuration that is responsible for this Volume control wheel?
-Which driver/firmware is attached to the order of the volume control?
-How can I determine if this is a hardware or software problem?

    Advice would be welcome.

    Stephan

    Hello

There is no software or hardware problem.
It is a new generation of volume control.

First of all there is no mechanical limit turning right or left.
In addition, this volume controller works a little different than the old volume controllers. The volume can be increased and decreased using the fixed rate

    By the way;
    > Can someone tell me where I can find the configuration that is responsible for this Volume control wheel?
You can change the volume as in the sound settings that could be found in the control panel.
    > Which driver/firmware is attached to the order of the volume control?
Audio driver controls the volume controller.
    > How can I determine if this is a hardware or software problem?
    There is no problem

  • Satellite A200 - problems with the AC adapter / CC

    Hello

    The problem concerns a Satellite A200 (PSAF6A-02H01N).

Recently, there was problems with the laptop, taking several attempts to boot to Vista, it would lock up while loading or just hang and freeze just after loading Vista.
But once it was up and the laptop running would be happy working for hours with the AC adapter is plugged in.

The problem got worse now and the laptop will not load Vista end without crashing.
We have now reduced the computer down to have only a problem when the power adapter is connected.
The laptop battery will charge normally with the AC adapter is plugged in and the laptop on standby or off.

The problem persists with the AC adapter is plugged in and the battery removed.
The laptop will start and run perfectly with battery and no power adapter plugged. Once the AC adapter is plugged in the laptop indicates that the battery is charging and then after a few seconds it crash or freeze and the only escape is a full stop.
The laptop will not work under the battery power for 30 minutes max.
I checked the output voltage of the AC adapter and this seems to be a consistent 19.4 Volts.

Is this only a problem of AC adapter or the problem with the laptop?

    Thanks in advance...

    The Canada Gazette

I lifted the previous discussions on this problem and found one that was very similar, but unfortunately the user decided not to find the problem of the road, save money and buy a new laptop instead! Hmm. !! .. seems to me like this might be a prob. material. Maybe a new motherboard?... anyone have an idea of what are the costs for that perhaps? .. an ASP or decent technician backstreet?...
