  I am running 32-bit Windows 7 on a Satellite A200 1DN. I had battery problems (plugged in, does not support) and I understand that I have to update my BIOS. However I can't find an update of the BIOS for Windows 7, only Vista and XP.

  Can anyone help? I should update with the BIOS in Vista? Are there other options to fix this battery? I already tried an ATX reset and uninstall method battery Microsoft ACPI compatible controls.

  Theoretically, you can install Windows Vista to update Bios and return Win 7, then. Before you do, try this:

  Unplug the computer from the power adapter and turn it on. Let the computer battery power until the computer turns off
  Remove the battery. Using a soft cloth, wipe the battery packs connectors and AC adapters.
  Reinsert the battery and plug it into the power adapter

  I have a Satellite L350-170 which perfectly connects to the internet using a cable to connect to my router.

  I recommend also to renew the IP address if this problem would occur.
  Cmd execute command: ipconfig / renew
  This should help to assign the new ip address

  By the way: in the Device Manager-> Wlan card-> properties-> power management, you can uncheck the mark option which disables the card in order to save energy.

  Have you tested the WiFi with open (unsecured) WiFi connection?

  Check if the most recent BIOS is available for this model of laptop and if yes, then try to update.
  As next update Win XP to the last State. All MS patches, updates must be installed.

  I m not very well what WLan card you but you are trying to install the WiFi adapter driver on the WLan card manufacturer site.

  Finally, and especially if you lose the WLan IP address and then start the CMD (in the window RUN) and type this command:
  ipconfig / renew

  I got a Satellite A200-1CK and stop my CPU cooling fan. Not that my CPU is not getting enough cooling. But when I use my laptop to school for use for OS virtualization, it heats up, and the cooler will not turn.

  The CPU cooler is broken or is it just a setting in the bios?

  You must understand that nobody does you any kind of diagnostic accuracy and if you want to have the correct answer, your laptop must be checked by a technician.

  Please check the BIOS settings, but on my A200 I can t see anything that can help.

  I have a Satellite L670 - 1 H 1, a new laptop that runs Windows 7, with all the drivers and software uptodate, including the wireless card.

  I have a BT Home Hub 3 with an Edimax EW 7416APN v2 300 m range extender to help boost the signal in the kitchen area.

  The laptop works fine when I stay in the room where the reception centre. If I move in the kitchen the laptop will usually lose the wireless connection after a few minutes and I cannot get it back unless I turn the LAPTOP works and return to the Home Hub.

  I see no obvious reason to this problem. Two other laptop computers used in the home, more a smartphone stay connected with full signal in every corner of the House, at any time.

  For example I'm 4 router with standard g and have very good signal even in the cellar too or out in the back yard.

  If possible, try to test the WLAN connection elsewhere. Maybe your friends have WLAN routers so you can test it.

  I have the Satellite A200-PSAE6E, and I bought a universal external battery. But external battery cannot produce enough current to my laptop when the internal battery is not full. When internal battery is fully charged, external keeps it full and portable computer running, but when the internal battery is not complete and I plug the external battery in seconds laptop shows that it is plugged in, charging the battery, but after a few seconds, it shows only that the laptop is plugged, and battery charge.

  Problem is that when the laptop is plugged in and the battery won't charge it uses an internal battery (as when it is not plugged in), and it drain the internal battery it turn off and there was still shows that it is connected. Can I define that when the laptop is plugged in, but does not charge to use external power?

  A few months ago, I bought a new Toshiba laptop L50 - A Satellite. He worked incredibly in all directions until about a week ago when it lights. He has been connected to the charger with the charging light but does not illuminate. When I press the power button, the small ring of orange around the button light turns on and will be so all the LED lights on the front of the laptop, as well as I can hear the fan and other work items, but the screen remains black.   The L50 - A Satellite supports a stop (hole) switch located at the bottom of the unit.

  Cell phone is freezing, do not start or has a power failure, which cannot be resolved by pressing the button for 10 seconds (force shutdown), please use stop force switch instead of the main battery.

  During a stop by pressing this button force, the behavior of the system is identical to unplug the AC adapter and remove the main battery.

  I have a following problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 m 7 2 years: my warranty just expired and my laptop started to fade at random with a frequency about once a week. Sometimes 3 times in a row and sometimes just once.

  I have no problem with turning again and then it works properly. This closure is independent on working time, sometimes, it happens just after the start as well as after a few hours of work. It happens on windows and Linux system, using my battery or not. I don't think it's overheating, as the last time it was cleaned and it doesn t go hot.
  I use all advanced programs and any upgrade of the system.
