  I have a problem when I installed the driver from Toshiba support. Playng in very slow options of games very slowly.

  When I perform the installation of the ATI support driver will not work correctly. Can someone tell me where I can find the best driver for this video card before I have Vista ultimate that I play in the race driver grid, everything is ok in weak options of course but normally plaing, then I install Vista Home premium and the game of options very low don't work normaly :(

  On the Toshiba driver page, you can find a display driver for Win XP v8.479 and another for Vista v8.479.1.4

  If you are using Vista, then you must select the v8.479.1.4 driver.
  If you are using Win XP then it must select the v8.479 driver.

  You said that you were able to play this game using Vista Ultimate and driver of Toshiba page. So in my opinion, the driver seems to be OK and should work!

  Had to recover the Satellite A30-203 due to errors on the hard disk through recovery cd
  Now, I found that works 7.0 microsoft is not anywhere on my computer while it was preinstalled - specs says - ready-to-go-works 7.0.

  Return of any ideas where I can get it? It's somewhere on the CD of tools and utilities? Thank you!

  I think that this demand was a part of the image of preinstalled Toshiba.
  If you want to get that back you will need to use the Toshiba Recovery disk, which was supplied with the laptop.

  Update CPU's official unsupported. This means that no one can say what will run the latest processors or not. Maybe you need also a new cooling fan, who knows?

• Satellite A30-104: WLan not available - I turn on the wireless network card

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A30-104 with an inprocomm ipn2220 built in wireless card. The problem I'm having is that when I get a network says its not available and asks me to turn it on.

  The driver is installed for the card, the switch for the wireless is set on you and I pressed FN & F8 and yet led remains off and nothing happens.
  I watched autour and seen that some people cover the terminals 11 and 13 and it works but not too sure.

  I also should this problem with a new card or is there a way to fix this?

  I guess that you upgraded the wireless lan card later, didn t you? I know that 11 + 13 pins hint and it worked, but after awhile the card did not and the connection quality was so poor that I bought a card atheros on ebay and this card works really well. So I suggest that you are looking for a card atheros on ebay and to install such card in your system since the cards are known to work properly in the toshiba machines.

  My Satellite A30 104 recently came at the end of its warranty and had to open the heatsink for cleaning, and seeing that the CPU was available, I wonder if there should be (likely) to upgrade.

  The processor is a Celeron 2.6 GHz (Northwood). I'm no more grunt, I would prefer a more low-power chip, while the cache L2 much bigger of a Pentium 4 is also desirable. I would be very grateful if someone could give advice if upgrades are likely available, and if so the chips would be appropriate? If I can give any more useful technical information, please ask.

  Usually it s not advisable to upgrade the CPU on laptops, because no one can tell if the laptop runs correctly and stable after the upgrade.
  The heat and the temperature inside the laptop could be a serious problem.

  Hi all.

  I woke up this morning to find that my Tecra M9 doesn't let me access anything whatsoever on my desktop, including all documents and the internet.
  Whenever I click on a file, it appears with a message saying that the memory could not be read.

  Someone told me that it is caused by a virus and I have to use my drive for recovery back to the factory settings.
  Problem is that I have not all discs, because it is an old laptop work.

  Do anyone know where I can get hold of a recovery disc at a low price and I am likely to lose my OS?
  I'm not great when it comes to IT...

  Try the steps listed below and check if it helps you to restore files:
   
  a. do not close Outlook Express if you just delete the folder. Outlook Express can be customized so that all deleted messages are permanently removed at the close of the application, and you should not take this risk. If you have already closed Outlook Express, open again, but know that there is a possibility that the data has been deleted permanently.
   
  b. look at the folders Panel in the upper left corner of the window. Click the plus sign next to the deleted items folder and analyze the content. If you see your deleted folder, right-click on the folder, select 'Restore' and you're all done. If you do not see your deleted folder, go to the next step.
   
  c. click on 'Tools' in the main window and select 'Options '. Click the "Maintenance" tab in the Options window, and then click the button 'storage folder '. This will open a new window with a path to the Summit.
   
  d. right-click on the "Start" button in the lower left of your screen and select "explore". In the explore window, browse folders in the left panel to follow the path of file that you found in the previous step.
   
  e. examine the contents of this file, which is that contains all of your Outlook Express data. Search for a file with the same name as the one you deleted. If you don't see this file, unfortunately, this means that it has been deleted permanently. If see you this file, drag and drop it on the desktop, minimize the Explorer window and go to the next step.
   
  f. close Outlook Express. Once the application is closed, open it again.
   
  g. click in the files Panel, then select "Create a new folder." When the folder opens, give it the same name as the one you deleted. Once this is done, close Outlook Express again.
   
  h. return to your window of the Explorer, which must always be showing the folder where Outlook Express stores its data. Drag the file that you moved to your desktop folder in this folder. A window will appear asking you if you want to replace the existing file of the same name with the new file; Confirm that you would.
   
  i. launch Outlook Express once more. The deleted folder must be restored.

  Also, I just discovered yesterday, if you can read your 25-character product key MS, you can do your own Windows Vista installation disc.  You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

  It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

  I tested both of them (just before going forward with the actual facility) and they seem to work perfectly.

  Apparently, when you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.
