  Back to your problem: FN + F5 will work if the operating system is fully loaded. You hear sounds? You don't see anything on the screen?
  Experiment with RGB port also.

  I recently had my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop screen replaced after getting a crack in it. He was sent to HP for repair and she came back yesterday with a new brand, screen exactly like my old.   From the sound of it, HP has replaced your original screen with better resolution by mistake.

  There is nothing you can do except to report it to the support of HP and ask to the screen to be replaced by one of the same characteristics as yours, or you will have to get used to the larger screen real estate and more small text and objects, or use a different resolution which may be more attractive to you.

Check if you can find a partner in your countries, or maybe someone else (they can send you everything you need to).   I prove with the nvidia settings and the West without change. NVIDIA doesn´t recognize my laptop as a monitor, screen it recognizes just the Samsumg Sincmaster.

  I looked for people with the same problem in other forums and a possible solution was to turn off the computer, remove the battery and press the power for a few seconds, trying to carry out the computer. I did and it didn t work.

  I put t know if this software must be preinstalled but I'm sure you can use your external display without it. When the external display is connected, you can switch between the LCD and external monitor by using the FN + F5 key combination. If you want to extend the display outside a use Windows display settings. It should work. I tested several laptop Toshiba with a few different monitors in my office and I n t noticed no problem.

  I just upgraded my hard drive of the pathetic crod 5400 they provide to a SSHD@7200rpm, but now have a major issue.

  I initially image the operating system from the old hard drive to the new drive and have had chronic start-up problems (1-3-4 attempts to start to succeed if it fails at any time (often to the Toshiba start screen)).

  I reinstalled from a drive under Win 8.1 plain own ENT (trying to avoid the bloatware) and it is exactly the same number and is what I used to format the laptop very well with previously and had previously worked.

  I think that the easiest is when you check the properties of the display driver. In all drivers, you can change the orientation of the screen, so it should be no problem to get rid of it. ;)
