A Toshiba Recovery CD can be ordered from the partner service allowed in your country and especially it s much cheaper than the original CD of Microsoft Windows.

    Hello

If you want to use all the features of the laptop, you must install all the XP drivers available from the Toshiba driver page.

You ask for the most important drivers? Well, you need to install
    -Chip Set Utility
    -Display driver
    -Sound Driver
    -LAN Driver
    -Driver Lan Wireless
    -Cardbus driver
    -Touch Pad Driver
    -Modem Driver

Other utilities such as Toshiba Console or E - Key are needed to use the features of laptops, but the unit will operate without these programs

    I have an A105 Satellite.

I lost the recovery disk that came with it, and I need to recover my entire hard drive.

    How can I do this

    Hello

You can order the recovery of the ASP disk in your country or you try to reinstall the operating system by using the original Microsoft disc.
This would be to install a clean Windows operating system and the missing drivers of Toshiba you can download and install from the Toshiba driver page we:

How have you tried to use the recovery CD? Have you tried to start the recovery of the Windows operating system?

Sorry, but something like this is not possible! You have to BOOT UP from the recovery CD to install the new OS!
But beware, the recovery will format and remove the data from the HARD disk.

  • Satellite 1640CDT lack of recovery boot disk

    Hello
I'm trying to reinstall Win 98SE on a 1640CDT of friends old Satellite that is to come with a lot of errors when loading. I've got two product recovery CD Toshiba but not the product recovery startup disk that will contain all the batch files to load the cd in my opinion. I can create a workable Win98SE boot disk, but as it lacks the batch files to do anything with the CD it is not very useful. Any ideas where I could get Boot Recovery Disk of Tosh or other options to load the system back from the recovery cd?
Any assistance received with gratitude :)

    Hello

You must start the laptop with restore disc 1. If you have lost this disk, you can buy one from a Toshiba service partner.

  • Satellite A30 keyboard suddenly stopped working - how to remove and reinstall?

Hi all, n00b to laptops and first post. OK, I usually build and repair desktop computers, so much easier to win the centimeters!
My daughter turned on his laptop A30 last night and only 2 keys worked. Tried to restart and go into the BIOS but could not. Tried to start in safe mode, only the top and bottom of work therefore impossible to select Safe mode... doh. Guess it must be a harware issue.

Restarted in Xp an open upward Notepad... this time, about 5 keys working. Reboot, 3 keys etc etc.

How to cable Ribbon to make sure it is placed correctly. It is common for a keyboard to fail in this way and it is easy to get a replacement?
At the mo, have all the screws that I know, battery removed, DVD rom and hard drive. Seems to be held towards the middle and the back. Don't want to force and break something else!

    Nice work. Thank you

  • Satellite A300 - 1FC - Vista recovery without any pre-installed software

    Hello

I bought an A300 - 1FC to German string sotres Saturn.
It's a computer laptop nice until now the only thing that bothers me is the bunch of preinstalled software that is of no use to me.

Is it possible to recover the plain windows only and then install all the required drivers
and service packs manually. Or at least in a way that leaves out all the unnecessary software?

If not I'm quite willing to downgrade - I don't like vista particularly well anyway but handset
with the annoyment of the preinstalled software, it is certainly enough reason to get rid of him.

    Any help?

    Hello

As you can see Toshiba, like all other manufacturers of portable, offers the recovery image. This recovery image contains all the necessary drivers, Toshiba has designed tools and utilities and also some additional software.

You must understand that maybe 10% of people have knowledge of PC and they are able to configure the laptop only. I am glad that you are one of them, but you must know that this recovery image is designed for the installation of operating system simple and not complicated. There is no possibility to install clean Vista using this recovery media.

Another way person doesn't force you to use each of them. All the unnecessary stuff, you can remove the system. Believe me I do the same thing. Your needs, you can optimize the operating system.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite Pro NB10 - A - 10 PU143E - how to install Win 7

    Hello

We recently bought the netbook above, that came pre-installed with Windows 8.1 pro.
I want to install Windows 7 on the computer.

Initially when I looked in the bios was not the option for the CSM,
So I updated the bios, and now I have the MSC option.

Unfortunately, there is still no option to toggle secure startup, so whenever I chose the csm, I am unable to perform a pxe boot.

Anyone know what I need to do. surprisingly, Toshiba said they would need to load if I get any help with this. I only bought the netbook last week.

Secure boot should be available on the Security tab

Here is a picture where this option is visible: [Pic1 | http://i.imgur.com/7I59ify.jpg]

  • Satellite A30 - impossible to get a sound after installing XP

Am not able to get sound after installing XP. Drivers from the Toshiba web site do not help. Does anyone have an idea on this issue. Thank you

    Hello

It's old model of laptop, and all pilots must work. I'm sure you make a mistake. On this old notebook, you must install Windows XP Home SP1 edition and after doing this install all patches software, driver chipset, driver and driver sound to the less rated. The sound should work fine.

If you have laptop model please download the drivers from the EMEA support page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

  • Satellite A30 - where and how to order the recovery disk

    Hello

I have a Satellite A30 range and I'm about to install a new hard drive but I don't have the original recovery disk. I told myself I can are no longer met this Toshiba directly so I wonder if someone can direct me looking for a replacement of original or copy.

I Googled it but it is difficult to sift through to find the exact one I'm looking for.

    Thank you

Hmm. I thought you can order the recovery CD Toshiba of the ASP in your country but if the series of laptop it is too old it would not be possible.

However, you can also install the Windows operating system by using the Microsoft CD and then you could install the driver of Toshiba of the Toshiba driver page.
XP driver should be placed in the box ARCHVE.

  • Satellite A30: HDD size after the recovery procedure and Defrag

I have a Satellite A30 and just did a complete reinstall from the recovery of the product disks. My question relates to the amount of disk space hard should be resumed aftre reinstall it.
My hard drive is 4.95 full GB according to the procedure that is much higher than I expected.

Also, after reviewing the reader with Defragmenter I seem to have twice taken up training with Greens, unmovable files like Blue contiguous files. Unmovable files is there and if not how to I remove them?

It's where I guess that extra hard disk space is lost when it is lost?

    Thank you

    Hello

It's not easy to say exactly how much space should be taken after the recovery procedure.
I have so much that I know on the recovery CD, you will find the whole operating system Windows XP, driver Toshiba and utilities as well as additional software like OneNote, WinDVD, etc.
This additional software could take as much space on the disk outside the OS.

Blue not moveable files belong to the Windows operating system, and as a result, the files are placed together.

  • Satellite A30 - shuts down during the installation of recovery or FDISK

I have a Satellite A30 and I wanted all off it delete and start from scratch.

Turned back with disc 1 CD product recovery, started well I was prompted to insert disk 2, it does well to about 80% then erased screen, then got the message "invalid partition table". I tried again and same thing happened. Connected FDISK back and chose option 1. 'create a DOS Partition or logic back drive' and the laptop stops. I put the startup option for no network or HARD drive CD player. At startup without inserted discs, I get the following. PXE - E61 madia tset failure, check cable.
PXE - m0f: exit PXE ROM then freezes.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not sure at 100%, but from your description, I think that HARD drive get in trouble.
How pxe message shows that means laptop can not find device bootable and as last it will boot from LAN.

If possible, try to get a new HARD drive and check if the recovery procedure completes successfully. Old IDE hard drives are not more expensive. To test you can also use a used purposes, but of course has no HDD vice.
