  I was downloading an update of tempro toshiba (synco or something in that sense) for my laptop Satellite A300 and the frozen screen. I pressed the power button for 5-10 seconds until it is turned off. When I turned it the system seemed to work but the screen is completely black.

  I tried to remove the battery, and fn + F5 but the screen still won't turn on.

  Any help or advice would be appreciated.

  It happened because of the updated BIOS, or during the common software update?
  In case it was an update of the BIOS I recommend contact the ASP in your country, because it seems that the ROM module must be flashed again.

  If it happened during a common software update, so I advise to remove the battery and the AC adapter and wait an hour.
  Then reconnect the two parts and check to see if you could power the laptop properly!

  Hi guys,.
  I spilled half a glass of tea on my Toshiba Satellite A300. I dried quickly by opening and by blowing dry air into it. The laptop works very well with the keyboard removed but no way with the connected keyboard it will star bipping everywhere. A couple of questions here.

  (1) can I connect a keyboard external usb for awhile?
  (2) Technical Service charge me to replace the lid and the keyboard? Why the cover while plastic and metal? How is the coverage could be ruinned too? I understand the keyboard, but the cover? Give me a break.
  (3) private users can buy replacements of parts on the internet. Any address in Europe who trust someone? I pay 60 euros for the time of 5 minutes from the repairman to change its keyboard. I can do it by myself. It's not rocket science, and here a great site with instructions step by step.

  Maybe the cover is equipped with circuits attached to it? Maybe a touchpad or something like that.

  I have toshiba laptop Satellite A300, it had windows vista installed in this laptop, but I formatted and installed Windows 7 and since I installed this windows 7 my webcam is not working it gives an error "webcam driver open fail.please restart camera or computer" and even after doing this its does not work.

  And after the installation of this window, I think that the display setting is also out of order, I tried to install the drivers and sorftwares support toshiba but without success.

• Satellite A300 - atikmdag stopped working

  I had this problem for a long time, what happens at random, I updated the bios, tried many settings, reinstalled the operating system, factory reset hard drive recovery and sworn a lot I use vista 32 and get continually the display driver has stopped working. Its a Satellite A300 psagca-02u010
  I looked in many places and for the most part are not told to update my drivers or to use drivers not toshiba (not tried) is included dxdiag info if it helps

  As Akuma writes: is IT s just a driver or software issue so if you already reinstalled Windows disk recovery or HARD drive, update the driver to display as well.

  Have you changed any settings in the sound properties of playback devices?
  I have a BRAVIA 32 LCD TV and I tested with A300-1LI and Satellite A500-157.

  With two laptops, it works well but not with the default settings. What I did is to enter the playback devices and I disabled all listed devices it except HDMI digital output device.
  To do this and start an audio or video file, and check again.

  Its a bit slower, so I upgraded from 1 GB ram to 4 GB I know, that is the maximum that can take the system.

  Now, the system recognizes the two RAM sticks, however, when I go to the new installation of windows 7 it wont let me.

  So, I tried with 1 stick of 2 GB it works in one slot but not the other.

  Have you tried to reinstall the Toshiba value added Package? This package controls the multimedia keys and also the lighting of these buttons.
  Check the Toshiba site for an update!

  In addition, lighting can be enabled or disabled in the BIOS. Make sure that this option is set to enabled.

  Last but not the least the BIOS update is worth a try! ;)

  The recovery disc are not provided, because you create the recovery disks using the preinstalled software called creator of Toshiba drive back (I guess this is mentioned in the user manual)

  But it is the same procedure of recovery provided by Toshiba Wizard of recovery you can find, press F8.
  Both procedures (HARD disk or recovery disk recovery) would format the HARD drive.

  I think you should start Notepad using the Live CD. You can use Linux Live CD WinPE or (BartPE).
  Google for it

  These CD would boot a Windows or Linux environment and will have access to the files on the HARD drive.
  Then you could safe files on external media and then you can install Windows using HARD drive recovery.
