Satellite A300 turns off

Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 (for about 3 years now) and tonight he turned off his car. It would be most time cause of overheating and would finally restarts, but not tonight. It simply displays an icon of the battery at the front about 6 times - then nothing. I tried already out the cord of the battery and the charger, press the switch & 30 seconds and it does not work.

It might be useful to mention that for a while now, when the charger is unplugged the laptop would turn directly to the output.

What I need to know is, it sounds like I need a new charger or a battery?

For me, this looks like faulty power electronics.

Can you use laptop on the power supply only when the battery is removed?

It seems you damaged or done something wrong during the disassembly procedure may be a connection problem?
I guess the power button has worked correctly until you have removed the case and disassembled the laptop. Right?

  • Satellite P500 turns off most since re install Windows7

    Hi all

    Toshiba satellite laptop
    series: P
    Model: P500
    Model number: PSPGSE
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium edition

Following a final crash of the original hard disk, so I changed the drive and performed a complete re-installation of windows7 (an original touch and put my original).
Subsequently I have re installed the driver via the toshiba site (most importantly, so no software supplied automatically with PC purchase), and that all are present according to device (of interrogation or other point of warning) Manager.
More through the touslesdriver.com site, I added their scanning software small told the pilot to missing day or not (so basic but all seems normal...)

Windows of decanting finished and I started to update the drivers, windows out never normally, menu, start, stop, closing the session and after that bogus on "stoppage of work" until the "Blue Shield (about 10 minutes later, a solution or the button works / stop)."
Single point, drivers arrive to their windows or windows installation to restart, but the problem always comes back.

Then in normal mode, no messages or any other information that makes me say that there is a problem, but when close windows here is barattes in a vacuum no solution other than the button walk / stop (I also tried ms config: stop all, same effect).

Now in safe mode gives the change!

Beginning and end of windows that is no problem!

Still in safe mode, the device section driver, then display devices, 'plug and play' shocks only information is that an exclamation mark on 'Security processor loader driver' is not visible outside the safe mode.

No possibility of anything and much too much different information on the net which could help me solve this exclamation point and certainly my problem?

    Hello

I own P500 too, but I use it with the new HARD drive but with the original recovery image (Win7 64 bit) I've had with her. Why have problems such as you, when I can have perfectly installed OS. That do after the installation of recovery image's own upward and the optimization of the OS. I have delete all things I don't no need and turn off all unnecessary processes that can slow down my system.
I m really wondering why you do the same and use OS without a few installation issues.

In any case, after reading your ad I didn t understand what your problem is, but what I can say is follow:
Satellite P500 is fully supported for Win7 so you do not have some third-party software of the part for the detection of drivers and similar useless diagnosis. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

On this virtual path, I can't tell what your problem and how to fix it. I know, it's that the whole available drivers on the Toshiba download page are tested and are part of the original image recovery.
I think either you should reinstall the OS using original recovery image and remove all the stuff, you need or reinstall Win7 clean and begins to install the drivers, tols and utilities Toshiba download page only.

    Order of installation:
    Windows 7
    Chipset SW installation utility
    Intel Management Engine Interface
    Display driver
    Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
    TOSHIBA supervisor password utility
    TOSHIBA HW utility
    TOSHIBA Value Added Package
    O2 card reader controller
    Audio driver
    Wireless LAN driver
    Synaptics Touch Pad Driver
    TOSHIBA HDD Protection
Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba
    LAN driver
Sleep USB TOSHIBA and service charges
    TOSHIBA face recognition
    TOSHIBA eco Utility
    TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert 3
    HDMI Control Manager

  • Satellite A300 - turn is not on, the screen remains black

I have a laptop Satellite A300. I tried to turn it on when I got home from work and the screen remains blank. The bottom (plug, power and battery lights) turns on but the screen remains black.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

It of hard to say what's going wrong here, but maybe it s just a small issue that could be solved easily.
    Try this;
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter.
A few hours and reconnect the two parts.
I had this problem in the past and leave the laptop disconnected during the night.
The next day, I connected battery and adapter A\c and the laptop worked again

Maybe this will help you too

  • Re: Satellite A200 turns off

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200. After 12 months of owning in, its has started to turn off his car, then does not supply power for some time, before giving up the ghost completely!
I tried a new AC adapter and battery, but no joy, I have read it could be the power supply? Is this a case of buying a new one and soldering in place?

    Thank you very much

    Adam

    Hello Adam

You must understand that it is not easy to tell if this happens due to power or other reasons. Have you noticed that laptop rest without power (all LEDs are off)?
Maybe your laptop overheats and shuts down. What do you think about this?

  • Satellite A300D - Turn off all the time

My wife has a Satellite A300D (model PSAK4E) and it keeps closing. The two randomy and when induced under certain conditions

Previously, I tested the HARD drive and found bad sectors then replaced with a 64 GB SSD. I tried to install Windows 7 but it kept fault towards the end. So I reset the machine without a battery and now the power button for 2 minutes to clear the memory. Installed Windows 7 + updates.

I was worried about stopping all the time but flashed the BIOS. Flash worked.

Laptop resets always? I have reviewed several possible causes and wanted to get other peoples ideas
1 HARD drive - replaced and even resets
    2. battery - ran on power sector only and even resets
3 overheating - sometimes under certain conditions (memmory tests or you try to run certain applications) or randomly (without reason)
    4. a broken circuit somewhere on the motherboard
5 - completely new OS + software resets the laptop when using some applications from a live disk.

Thank you inadance for the help

    Hi me_in_oz,

Theoretically the laptop turn off itself due to a higher internal temperature to protect the equipment against damage.
In this case, you will need to clean the laptop using jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans. It is easy and takes only a few minutes to check out this article:
[How to clean a Toshiba laptop cooling system? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=40]

Otherwise it seems to be a serious hardware problem and your laptop should be checked for professional people. Probably it s a malfunction of the motherboard

  • Satellite L775 turns off without obvious reason

I guess it's a problem related to an issue of power.

My laptop Satellite L775 is used to turn off and the 2nd (under tension) and the 3 leds (drums) becomes red flashing even if I fix the battery.

How can I solve this problem?

Your ad is confusing to me.

Remove the battery and connect the power supply only. What happen exactly when you press the power button / stop?

  • Satellite A40 turn off once all cases the battery is not connected

I felt that my battery has something wrong and I do not use much. I seconded to work on current alternative. The strange thing when windows or linux or any bootable cd running after while the laptop is turned off. But when I entered under windows in safe mode, it is not turned off.

When I plugged the battery again the laptop works very well. I have the Satellite A40. Is this a problem in my power unit or there is a problem in the video card?

    Hello

It's not easy to say what could be wrong. The fact is that the laptop should work without any problem with and without the battery.
You said that this happens with any bootable CD but that this problem also occurs if the operating system has started?
However, I put t I think it happened because of the video card. This any sense doesn t.
It looks a bit like an electrical malfunction of the power supply. But it's not easy to tell without any trial. I think you should ask Toshiba service for assistance.

  • Satellite A300 turns on, LAN already disabled

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum. Please forgive me my rather poor English, but I'm not native English.

My friend has a laptop A300-14F, and in recent weeks, she has problems with the computer randomly turn off, he (complete stop, not mode "sleep" or something like that). He wakes up after different time periods, usually in a range from 1 to 15 minutes.

It seems to appear only when it is connected to the local network, so we've disabled features wake-on-lan, as well in the bios and windows (Vista with all the service packs), but it does not solve the problem. I've seen people having the same problem, but unlike here, often disabling helps wake-on-lan.

Someone has an idea what may be causing this problem? Or should we give just to fix it under warranty?

    Thanks in advance!

    Maciek.

    Yes, I have an idea.
The WOL option must be disabled in BIOS, but ALSO in the LAN card properties.

You can find this option in the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab LAN card

Please check and disable any option that could be responsible for the laptop to wake up.

    Good bye

  • Satellite T130 - turns off because the low power

My 130 just turns off without notice because of the low power, but it shows remaining 40-50% power bfore, it turns off. What is wrong with him?

Also there is no warning of low power, it just turns off. Any ideas?

    Hello

That s really strange and I've never heard of this problem...

You use a Toshiba original AC/DC adapter?
Have you checked the Web from Toshiba website for updates to the BIOS?
Have you tested the same with OS preinstalled Toshiba?

  • C50-A-1HF satellite will turn off by itself after 2 seconds

    Hello

the laptop turns off by itself after 2 seconds when I turn it on. This happens if I shutted down or choosed hibernate before (Win8.1).

This means hibernation is not at all useable.

The next time I turn it on it works quite normal! Sleep mode works as well. Standby mode it is ready for use after open them both as a repetitive. Fascinating!

I looked on all the settings of the BIOS, but I found nothing what could be the reason for this behavior.

Perhaps there is a correlation with another strange behavior. The battery will not be charged over 80%. I do not use the green mode. I have to turn off the laptop and remove the battery completely for a minute. After inserting and booting Win8.1 what it charges again at 100%.

The discharge time is approximately 3.5 hours. Otherwise, the battery is ok.

But after the next discharge up to 10% charge that up to 80% more.

These two effects are not normal. But I don't think (or better, I hope) that there is a material defect.

Is there a chance does not post the laptop to a repair service?

    Best regards

    Onurbi

Hey man it are so strange problems and it's not easy to say what to do. All you can do is to install the original recovery image and test with the settings once more, of course without changing anything or install updates or additional applications.

If possible to do this and test it for a while.
    > Is there a chance does not post the laptop to a repair service?
As you probably know your possibilities to do something about this are very limited and if there is permanent problem I think you should contact the closest service Toshiba and clarify all of this.
You have the new laptop model and it should work properly. If you are not happy and there are service problems Toshiba should take are about it and help you.

  • Satellite P30 turn off - also problems with burning DVDs

    Hi Please help me.
I had a row with my brother and it won't help.

My Pc is only a year old and it turns off. I would say it was because of overheating, but he just did and it isn't really that hot.
I put on the books, not on my knees, keep him away heat, crash back to the desktop.
It makes me crazy, please, any help or advice or anything like that would be a great help.

I also have problems with my dvd burner, always, he gets to about 17% and said that there is a mistake, thought it was the discs but surely it can be all 100 of them, I tried turning on and off but no use.
Also the advice would be great!

Please help a girl in need of a working Pc! Who does not know a lot of technical stuff!

    Hello

Overheating problems usually occur because the cooling module cannot work properly.
Fans are unable to work because of the dirt and dust inside the laptop.
The best way to clear the fans is to use the vacuum cleaner.

On the problems of DVD writer: well, it's not easy to say why it happens. Have you checked media dvd from different manufacturers? Many CD/DVD media works differently, and you should check it out.
In addition, there is a problem with the burning software. I put t know what application you're using, but you should try to use Nero. It's very nice software and I m very happy. Check it out

  • Help, please! Satellite P10 turns off

I have aSatellite pro P10-802. He continues to tell me that the bad battery is inserted, but it is not. He then stops in the usual way, but I can't do something.

Another problem I have is that sometimes it is just turns off without warning, when he does that he does not stop is normal but the screen turns off and it turns off. It is registered, but I can't find the registration details. Unit was registered in September 04 possibly on behalf of pt aspinall.

    Help, please!

    Hello

Your laptop is not old, and in my opinion you should contact Service partner allowed in your country without a lot of discussion because if there is a problem with the hardware repair is covered under warranty.

If the laptop turns off by itself, it can be a serious hardware problem. The message with the battery is also very strange. As I said, please communicate with the technicians. They can help you.
