  I currently own a Satellite Pro A120 (model: PSAC1A - K 00, 005) Windows XP Professional... I do not have an ounce of trouble with this computer and not have it to a Toshiba service center in the almost three years I've owned it so far! This computer received training from me at the moment and never gave me any major problems!

  The only problem I had (and it wasn't linked computer) was that my modem to broadband wireless gave the soul and I had to have a professional appearance of home - COMPUTER problem is the modem! I had previously updated a week before and it overloaded for sodomy and he said, "I don't want to play more!" and stopped working! This then cost me $ 299 for a new modem and on the reverse a new first a loser who has been blamed by my ISP and I went back and got a new free! What prompted my parents to go out and buy a Satellite A300 (unknown model yet!) so that they can use it in their business!

  I am writing this hoping someone from Toshiba will be able to help me to find and update for laptop Satellite A300, short model: PSAJ4E.
  I am running Windows 7 (64 bit) and Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) on another partition.

  I noticed I was encountering problems more often because of the graphics card is not not to date.
  I am looking for an update for the ATI Radeon HD 3650 series.

  I checked and the update on the Toshiba site is the previous update... it has the * version 8.634.1 * and AMD is at version * _8.801_* with their AMD Catalyst 10.12 software suite.

  I know laptops are not updates as much as a normal desktop pc, but it would be nice to receive updates that came out for the products that we bought.

  If possible could someone direct me, so that I can get the driver for Windows and Ubuntu?

  Have you tried to do an update of Toshiba Assist? A new version and all the other stuff from Toshiba which you can find here:
  http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com
  Maybe the update will solve the problem.

  On command buttons, I think you need to configure iTunes as standard Media Player and select all the files to iTunes playlist.

  Check the system requirements for the game. Satellite A300 is not a high-end gaming laptop and maybe some new games couldn't work on this laptop.

  Maybe you need to reinstall your laptop with the Toshiba recovery disc. I put t have another idea so try and post your result.

  The laptop has 6 multimedia keys on top.
  As described in the manual, they are supposed to perform the following functions shown (from left to right): (I'm dialing for convinience to talk about later)
  1 mute / power button LED
  2 CD/DVD button
  3. Play/Pause button
  4 Stop button
  5. back button
  6 next button

  Can someone explain all the buttons above.

  The only function these peform for me are as follows;
  1st button only allows the LED turned off/turned on but does not any silent operation with any application (not even Windows Media Player).   I doubt that this is because Windows 7 is only a trial version and it is not a version of the end.

  Toshiba is not compatible Windows 7 beta and so you should do a downgrade to Vista or XP. Then your problem should be solved.

• Problem with Satellite A300 and Vista 64 bit

  I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A300-1CO model: PSAJ4E-03R015PT, which came with an impressive 4 GB of ram device.
  I knew with Vista 32-bit, only 3 GB would be available, but since I got a license of Vista 64 bit I care, came home and installed it.
  When I looked up the drivers on the toshiba site, no drivers for Vista 64 bit drivers were available!
  I have now 4 GB or RAM available and I also have problems with face recognition software, microfone, sound card, card reader and a few other things.

  I searched the websites manufactors drivers and I managed to get some of these things barely usable, I don't think that it is a SD solution.
  Other laptop brands are made available long drivers for vista 64 bit some of them even for XP 64 bit!

  I would like to know how long take to Toshiba do official drivers available for vista 64 bit on their Web site.

  I was looking for 64-bit drivers for my laptop, but since this is a new model, the drivers were not yet available. I checked a few weeks later and they were no longer available.
