Satellite A350 - 12j PSAL6E: Win 8.1 start-up without pushing the button works / stop

Hello

is there a way to boot the OS (WIN8.1) [system status: closed]
without first pulling the screen upward and push the power button?

FYI: I use an external connected HDMI screen/monitor!

I know the typical rest on keyboard through BIOS, but use that requires a laptop in hibernation/standby mode.
It bothers me a little every time up the screen and pushing
Wake on Lan is not an alteranative as its connected via W - LAN

Any ideas or suspicion appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

See you soon,.

Unfortunately, there is no other method to put the laptop, if the device has been turned off.

You have to press the button to power ON the laptop.

    Hello

The chicony webcam does not work on my toshiba Satellite A350-12j and windows 7 64 bit...

I always get different errors as
    "graphics make it fail."
"the device is locked by another program.
    etc...

I tried many things and watch them on a lot of messages, but nothing does. I installed a lot of drivers and programs to solve, but nothing works.
at first the camera was ok but now nothing seems to help and the camera is broken...

    Can you help me??

    Thank you!

    > seen as 1 million messages like mine and not even 1 right answer on how to solve it!
I guess you didn't read all these messages correctly

The user Symbian wrote that her webcam works fine! He used the software/driver for the Toshiba page as well

Since the Skype reports an unknown error too, I guess that this whole thing has noting to do with the webcam software, but with your Windows 7 installed!

Seems a registry keys, files or all what it might be, are confused upward!
In your case, I would try a new installation! Install Win 7 and the Toshiba drivers/software.
    Then test the webcam.

Don t install any 3rd party software before you would test the webcam!

  • Satellite L40 'pass' without pushing the button enter

My daughter had a computer failure with its Satellite L40 and I had to reinstall windows with the additions of the disk (s?) of product recovery.

Curiously, there are two discs, no. 1 and no. 2, but installation is complete without use of DVD nr. 2.

But after re-installation, I have the following problem: fine on Windows startup, everything works, but when I move the cursor with the mouse and it crosses a hyperlink, it in time (not all the time) opens the link as if I had used the button enter or the left button of the mouse. This makes working with the laptop barely possible.

Does anyone know what causes this problem and how it can be fixed?

    Thank you!

Is it possible to change the action of he keys music on a Satellite A350-12J to open Itunes instead of Media Player?

    Hello

According to the manual and my own experience, I can say that's not possible. You can only start Media Player or DVD Toshiba.

But I've created an interesting thread here in the forum. User DeKHaN founded Microsoft software to configure these illuminated buttons:

  • Problems with the reader of CD/DVD on the Satellite A350-12j

    Hello

I just bought my laptop, Toshiba Satellite A350-12j, two weeks ago and am generally happy with it, but I can't seem to read correctly the data DVD.

When I try to play a DVD that I burned on my data desktop PC, the laptop starts to read, but takes very, very long time.
When I try to copy the data on the DVD of my laptop, it takes forever (I tried once for 45 minutes and then abandoned) and after a while it starts to claim it can read most of the files on the DVD.
It is not the data on the disks which raises problems, cause when I transfer those my desktop to my laptop computer on a Flash DRIVE instead of a DVD, files are copied immediately without problem.

At first I thought it could be due to the DVDs themselves (I use TDK DVD + ROM), or perhaps that Vista was the culprit, but I tried the same exact discs on my friends laptop Medion also running Vista and it is having no problem whatsoever.

Anyone have any ideas what could be the cause, or better yet, which could solve it?

    Thanks in advance!

    > When I try to play a DVD that I burned on my data desktop PC, the laptop starts to read, but takes very, very long time.

Hmm I think this could be a problem of DVD not entirely compatible.
My laptop drive s couldn t read or write DVDs from different manufacturers.
I tested a lot of disks and now I m using TDK DVD-R.

But it of always different. Maybe your drive would not support this disc correctly, but another disk would be better supported

I think you should test it simply. There are many manufacturers different drive don t give up buddy

    Hello

You are not able to boot the system? Or what?
What happens if you press F8 immediately after the laptop was turned on?
You then see the start menu?

If you can access the advanced boot menu, then you could try using the option called last good known Configuration (Advanced).

If this will not help and you will not be able to restart the laptop then choose fix my computer-> Toshiba HDD recovery and reinstall the OS using the Toshiba HDD recovery option.

  • Satellite A350 - 12J Faliure of the BIOS after update.

    Hello world.

I am owner of Toshiba Satellite A350-12J (it's the PSALME series). Recently I received the message in Toshiba Tempro, having said that I should update my BIOS, so I decided to do. I downloaded proprer version from the Toshiba site, which was 1.5 and follow the instructions to update (I want to mention here, this isn't my first update of the BIOS). After that update was done to my restarted laptop and does not start again. The screen is black all the time.

When I try to turn the fan runs for a few seconds and then goes down, there is an activity in the USB and DVD devices but it's only for a few seconds and then more nothing.

Oh, almost forgot that HARD drive also works. I read that in the Phoenix based BIOS there is that something called crisis recovery, so I tried, laptop starts in this mode (I can say, because in it is fan of fashion goes up to system and RPM max tries to boot from USB Floppy).

I tried crisis Revovery in several combinations and during the process, it seems that it is flashing my BIOS (crisis recovery disk whith Floppy is read for about 2-3 minutes), but after I wait and give him time to reflash (10-15 minutes each time) for computer laptop stiil starts.

I think that maybe this version of BIOS (1.5) is bad or something. Maybe Somone have original BIOS for this laptop, I would be very grateful for these BIOS or maybe someone has an idea of what is wrong there.

In case someone has the original BIOS was kind enough to send me, here is my email:

I ' sorry for my English, it is not my mother tongue.

    Hello

On the page of Toshiba Europe, I find the BIOS update version v2.10

    However, there is only one real solution;

  • Satellite A350-12J: what BIOS should I use

    Hi all...

don't know what bios download, can't see vids, audio only... (avi file)...

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

Why you n t know what BIOS is compatible?
    Where is the problem?

Satellite A350-12J seems to belong to the PSALWE series. The number should be placed at the bottom of the unit.

If you choose this model number on the European driver Toshiba page then you would get the BIOS and all the necessary Vista drivers for this device.
The page provides the BIOS for vista 32-bit and 64-bit. If the Vista is 32 bit OS then take the BIOS for 32 bit

But to be honest, I always put t know what problem is your ad is very short all not really useful

  • No way to disable the touchpad on the Satellite A350 - 208 (PSAL6E)

I have an A350-208 (PSAL6E) with windows 7 Pro 64 bit NL. I have a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 installed Bluetooth mouse. It works very well. But every time I work on my laptop I seem to touch my touchpad by accident, or pressure on the keyboard and then my cursor is going to suddenly somewhere else in senctence en I'm typing complete garbage. It's something that I had resolved in XP by disabling the touchpad. But now, on windows 7 there is no tot so possebillity.

Please can someone help me to disable the touchpad?

Type this little piece of text takes me a lot longer while my cursor place whenever I type to another location in the words.

Win7 works perfectly on this laptop model, and if you have installed all the controls, including utility flash cards you should be able to disable the touch pad using the FN + F9 key combination.
    Can you do this?

  • Satellite A350 - 208 (PSAL6E) - where can I find drivers for XP?

    Hello

I bought my laptop about 1 month ago, and it is already slow. I think that my laptop is slow, because I have Windows Vista Home premium.

I don't like Vista at all, so I tried to format my HARD drive and put windows XP SP3 on it.
But the problem is, I can't find drivers for Windows XP, only the drivers for Windows Vista. How can I solve this?

And is it possible to install Windows XP on my laptop? I think that there is an extra partition on my HARD drive with Vista on it stuff.

    Hello

I'm a little confused right now because you wrote that you have installed Windows XP, and then you want to know if you can install it m.

In any case, the Satellite A350 doesn t supports Windows XP. On the Toshiba site you can get Windows Vista drivers for it.
What you can do is look on external websites for drivers, or try you the drivers XP of the Satellite A300, which is similar to yours.

That's all you can do. Windows XP is the past, now it s time for Vista or Windows 7.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A350-13D PSAL6E; sound rattles

    Hello

My Satellite A350-13D (bought in July ' 09) makes a strange clicking off the speakers sound.
It is intermittent and it looks static interference or when the HARD drive is reading or writing. Someone at - it an idea before I go make return to the workshop for repair (maye a new driver/bios?)

    Thank you
    John

    Hello

Hmm. Pensiez_ you that the HARD disk emits the sound treble?
That s wired because it would mean something would be well wrung out with HARD drive and this means that you should backup your data if you have important files on the HARD drive. In the worst cases could die your HARD drive and you will lose all data on the HARD drive

  • Satellite P50 - B - 108 Win 8.1 gel when I activate the 265 x video card

8.1 Windows freeze everytime when I try to install the amd display driver. The laptop works properly when x 265 video card is disabled in the hardware Manager. I think the video card is defect. But maybe someone has a solution for this problem.

The laptop works properly using the image of preinstalled Toshiba?

The P50-B-108 Satellite supports the graphics card AMD Radeon R9 passionate M265X and unity has been pre-installed with Win 8.1 system (64-bit).

All software, drivers, but also the graphic card driver was also preinstalled by default.
    Please check this!

In the event that the laptop would not work with the default driver, the GPU may be affected.

  • Re: A few questions with the Satellite A350-12J

My father-in-law's cell phone is the Satellite 350 and I think there 12j after his name.

We re-installed Vista 32 bit the other day and he said that some things do not work as they should.

First of all, if he presses the FN key, and say the s, the brightness, it works but he used to have a small dock type thing will appear at the top of the screen with icons of FN button. The other don t FN keys work well as the permutation of switch monitor.

Second keys soft touch media don t work as turning off the lights behind them or bring up media player.

We have evidence and tried to install the value pack but he said during the installation that he was withdrawing the package so it must have already been installed. After having re-installed, there is no difference. I can't find any program or whatever it is in the Panel for her.
Also, I tried the same thing to the hardware configuration. Once again, it seems telling herself it was there and uninstall. Yet once I re-installed but t still can't find anything for him anywhere for me to change any settings or anything like that.

I don't have the laptop with me good that now it is at home, but I think I got it.

    All ideas welcome.

Each Toshiba laptop comes with the pre-installed operating system and the old A350 will be delivered with Vista, so I would like to know if it is possible for you to use this original picture of the recovery.
Have your father in law created recovery DVD such as recommended by Toshiba?

I guess you are trying to install the version of Vista clean, right?
