  Looks like you want to make a backup during import. If this is the case, you can designate a different location for a second copy when importing.

  

  1. Check the mark a second copy of box in the management of the files Panel and choose your external drive in the menu drop-down
  2. Then you set regular destination of Lightroom in the Destination panel.

  However, if you mean that you want in the foreground images in Lightroom, but have them physically located on an external drive, then all you need to do is choose this drive in the Destination panel. Lightroom Catalog can be on a different drive.

  First of all you need a need a portable 2.5 HDD PATA or IDE s interface let. If I understand your post correctly that you want to use a 160 GB model.

  As far as I know Satellite A50 limits the 28-bit LBA. This means that you can only use hard drives 120 GB.
  So you should check the HARD disk controller that LBA limit there.

  Is 120 GB drive HARD enough for you?

• Satellite L850-1V0 - module cooling fan runs constantly at the same volume

  I've had this laptop since the middle of February this year. I experienced a few problems I am getting concerned:

  The first is my fan, regardless of how high the percentage of my CPU temperature is that it will always show that the fan works at a speed of 0%, even though I can hear and feel running. A couple of days, it started to go louder for awhile, then «return to normal»

  Second, the fan can be heard at the same volume of work constantly and I can't seem to find a way to make it less work.

  The third problem is bit hard to explain. I am aware that you can feel the phone vibrates because of fan work when you rest your palms on it (for example by typing), sometimes it starts to vibrate more difficult but the fan does not noise, that it should when he is working harder.

  The fourth problem is that I can hear beeps from my region of fan on the right side of the laptop. They are all the same length in time - long. I think that is not the same length so that lies that beeping, but I cannot prove message beeps a beep code message I looked average.

  My experience says portable behavior depends very much on its use and configuration of the computer personal laptop is not easy to give good advice. To check first please cooing fan settings. You can change the fan cooling activity in Control Panel > power options > change the power plan > change advanced power settings > Toshiba saving settings > cooling method.

  Just a note; Satellite A200-1DY belongs to the series of PSAE3.

  The Toshiba page provides three different BIOS for this laptop.
  Currently, there is a BIOS 2.60 for Vista 32 bit and 64 bit and 5.6 for Win XP.

  Three BIOS versions are different, and if you use the Vista 32-bit, you must use the BIOS designed for Vista 32 bit.

  BIOS 2.5 is not the same as the BIOS 2.60 I think there is a difference

  However, as far as I know the 32 bit Vista was preinstalled on this A200 series and the recovery disk should also contains the Vista 32 bit.

  I put t know why the 2.5version is always visible on your A200 but I guess the BISO update has failed and may be related to the fact that the winplash check option has been disabled.
