Satellite A500-134 - recovery partition is empty
I have a satellite A500-134, shows drive partition recovery that it is 100% free and drive HARD recovery folder appears in the D drive (the laptop comes with 2 visible partitions C and D with 232 GB each). I found the recovery disk partition when I was looking at disk management in windows.
So this means I can delete the recovery disc that nothing seems to be there?
Hello
Why you really want to remove the Windows RE partition?
This Windows partition saves files to restore the computer, or to solve problems.
Here's a good article on this subject:

Satellite A500-134 - plugged in but not charging
Toshiba Satellite A500-134
Purchase date: 03/02/2010
Operating system: win 7 32Hello, good evening,
my laptop worked fine until a few days ago, when stop you it immediately after I removed the charger adapter. When I reinserted the card once again, I noticed that the battery charging led become on 'orange' and then he went.
I checked the status of the battery in the battery icon it says: plugged in, does not support. other 83%
I noticed when I removed the battery and reinserted it or when I have the power adaptor and reinsert battery led become on for 10 seconds and then again on the way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thank you very muchby the way;
does anyone have the PIN diagram of battery to testHello
For me, it looks like a battery would be defective.
You are able to use the laptop only with the power adapter plugged?
If so, this would mean that the adapter is OK.
Is that battery begins to lose own performance after his indictment for 400 - 500 times. I would recommend so test the laptop using new, good battery under test. -
Satellite A500-1GL: recovery reached Office Reboot again and again - solved
I did a restore on my Satellite A500-1GL using F8 to recovery on the HARD drive.
However after the computer goes through the implementation of Windows 7 for the first time, from desktop it immediately disconnects and restarts.
This process of setting up Windows for the first time, including initialization screen white with logoff bar then immediate green and stop constantly repeats.
Same result with Recovery CD I created again.
It is no longer an option to repair the computer when you press F8.
Any suggestions please?
If I end up having to reinstall Windows 7 from another copy, then how can I go about it like
Windows 7 license serial number rubbed off the label on the bottom of the laptop? Thanks in advance.

-It turns out that he must restart about 6 - 7 times to complete the installation.
Hello
As I see that everything is fine. It is logical that laptop restarts several times while recovery facility is running. I do not know how it looks with your machine, but when I use the recovery machine it starts with the number 1/64. With other words, it must be installed 64 components (software) and then some of them laptop restarts simply but installation will continue.
When the recovery image is complete it is still displayed on the screen and the laptop owner is notified that installation of recovery has been completed successfully.

Re: Satellite L300 - Keep recovery partition when you use DBAN
Hello
I usually use DBAN to wipe my drives, however, I am interested in doing this on a laptop without destroying the recovery partition.
Essentially on a satellite L300 I want to erase the HDD using DBAN (Darik Boot and Nuke) (while maintaining the recovery partition), and then perform a clean installation of Windows 7. Is this possible or should I look at another alternative?
Thank you
I don t use DBAN and may not give you the right answer, but one thing I must say: create a recovery DVD using the Toshiba recovery disc creator pre-installed and after doing this, you can do whatever you want.
If a problem occurs, you can install OS using these disks.
Please note: when you install using Win7 clean recovery of recorded disc image non-Toshiba makes no sense more because you will not be able to start the recovery of HARD drive more. For factory again, you must use Toshiba recovery DVD. -

Widows won boot in any mode now so I don't know how I record in and to make things worse, I have no recovery disk. The operating system is windows 7

Satellite NB550D-109 - recovery partition
You just bought a NB550D-109.
Pretty happy with it, but I have a few questions so.
Is there a reason the recovery partition labled data, is half the size of the drive? This partition can be resized to give more storage without compromising the Recovery Wizard?
Are all the organic quality of Toshiba Utilities, or ones that I don't use can be uninstalled?
Or should I leave installed and just disable the startup?> Is there a reason that the recovery partition, labled data, is half the size of the drive?
To be honest I don't understand your question. Recovery partition is about 10 GB and recovery image is about 8 GB, so I put t understand what do you mean with half of the size of the disk.
> This partition can be resized to give more storage without compromising the Recovery Wizard?
At the moment I have not be able to give you the right answer. Open the disk management option, make a screen shot and expect to see the structure of the partitions. Then, I'll be able to discuss all the partitions.
For the moment, I can say only one thing: do not change anything. Change the installation of recovery of the structure HARD drive partitions can be cancelled.
> All the organic quality of Toshiba Utilities, or ones that I don't use can be uninstalled?
Some of them can be uninstalled but I put t know which of them you don t need.
Let us know which of them you want to remove the system. One last thing: don't make too many experiences before you created the recovery USB drive.
Please read Toshiba s s user manual and look for info on the installation of recovery and the creation of recovery USB disks. -
Satellite P855 - need recovery partition properties
Hello
as I intend to migrate the HDD to ssd I resized the windows disc 8 and then the toshiba recovery partition after windows system 8, but it seems that this movement has really changed the properties/id of the partition.
Could you please tell me the properties the ID VALUE of the toshiba recovery partition so I can change it again?
The size of the partition, the content and everything is untoched, but when I try to open the recovery tool, it says that it cannot find the recovery partition.I know I shouldn't mess with partitioning, but I want to change the laptop on a faster drive.
Thank you very much.
Nicolas
Hi Nicolas
Now it's too late for anything. Structure of the partitions is changed and you cannot get it back to the original state.
Change SSD HARD drive is not the problem, but your mistake is that you don't l l create USB recovery media or recovery disk.
After changing the HDD to SSD, you could use this media to reinstall the OS. In this case new recovery partition is created automatically. What you need now is the recovery disc for a clean installation of image recovery.

Extension of Satellite A500-134 (PSAMSE) need to guarantee
Hello
I recently put A500-134 (PSAMSE) with 2 years international warranty standard.
I would like to extend up to 3 years.
In addition
1. at the time of purchase dealer toshiba gave no original computer bag laptop toshiba.
2. There is no remote control with this model A500-134 (PSAM-SE)Kindly advice where to send my complaint.
Hello
> I want to extend up to 3 years.
Have a look here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/-> support downloads & -> guarantee and registration for the ServiceHere, you must register your laptop first.
After that, you can take here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/-> Support downloads & -> Service offering
In the extended warranty, you could buy an extension you need.> Purchase, Toshiba has a dealer gave original computer bag laptop toshiba.
I think it depends on the dealer for laptop and what special offers or such gifts Merchant provides.> There is no remote control with this model A500-134 (PSAM-SE)
The user manual says:
+ Remote is included in * some * models. +This means that * NOT ALL * A500 are delivered with command remotely.
You can find the info on _page 25_Ciao

Satellite C660-195 - recovery partition marked "D: / Data" and looks great
Hello
1st time poster forum so be gentle please!
My mother just brought a Toshiba laptop and it is good enough to be honest. Take a quick look but I noticed that the recovery partition (which comes with most laptops now) is labeled "D:/data and 232 GB in size. Seems a little on the big side for me and I was wondering if this is incorrect?
Have a screenshot and if someone could confirm that it is I would be very grateful. Can I attach screenshots?
Thanks in advance

Satellite A500-134 fan problem
Hello!
I recently bought a laptop Toshiba A500-134, and I have two problems with that.
First of all, the largest: fans will always practically. Currently, the temperature is the following (I checked with Everest):
CPU: 37
CPU 1 core: 36 c
CPU core 2: 36 c
DispIO GPU: 46C
MemIO GPU: 44 c
The laptop temperature: 34 cThe speed of the fans (utility Toshiba): 73% and sometimes more (and this is waaay out loud)
Is this normal? Tried another (same type) for laptop and seems he did the same things. He doesn't do anything, that the Vista desktop are running, and the fans are still ongoing. The second problem is a high tone sound from speakers. In my view, the processor to affect it. When I change the portable powersaving mode, the sound is silent, or it disappears.
Hey Buddy
To be honest I n t see a problem with the temperature of your fan or your laptop.
CPU and GPU temperature appears to be low and there s nothing unusual.Cooling performance modules can be changed in Vista's power management:

Satellite A500-134 slow to respond
Hello
I just got an A500 and installed the 64-bit Vista on it, whenever I close a window or open one, it takes 6-7 seconds to react that isn't quite right.
I need help.Hello
At the moment it is really difficult to say what the reason is, but you have installed Vista from a Microsoft disc or is the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba?
Otherwise, follow the instructions posted by Akuma. Disable the Antivirus scanner, check for yellow exclamation marks Device Manager and defragment your HARD drive.
I have Satellite A500D and it works really well! :) -
Cannot use created for the Satellite A350-134 recovery disks
EMM, I really hope you can help me.
The laptop says that you create the disc of recovery by yourself, and that's what I did (on 2 Cds)
So I wanted to reinstall my laptop and put in the first cd and booted from the CD. So I came in the Menu.
Then, after some time he asked me to put in the second CD and I did. Then, he said he had a copy of the last 2 files needed error.
So now I can't create the recovery again disk because I have already started to the reinstall. now, I have a few questionsWhat can I do in general? Because I don't really want to buy for 35 euros a new recovery disk: S
I thank everyone who helps me :D
Of course, you can do this, but please note that you will not be able to activate this version with the product key for the Microsoft sticker, placed at the bottom of your laptop.

Satellite L670-134 - recovery to factory settings is not possible
Hi all
1. Install of Win7 64 bit is dead and has been reinstalled at the same time another installation of WIN7. Now it's getting back to the original stand. Due to a regular WIN7 version has been (re-) installed, I can not exceed the recovery "TOSHIBA HDD RECOVERY" option!
The HARD drive got D: drive with the folder of HARD disk RECOVERY.
Is it possible to return to the original install of WIN7 from Toshiba?Thank you very much in advance for any help.
JonasEHello
> Due to a regular WIN7 version has been (re-) installed, I can not exceed the recovery "TOSHIBA HDD RECOVERY" option!
This means that the BMR is eliminated and changed and so the HARD drive recovery option isn't appearing any more in the start menu.
The option can be the use of the recovery diskette.
You can order a disk to recover here:
