I have just received an alert of tempro on a driver update that my L850-161 will play blu - ray discs. Now, I was quite surprised that I only have a dvd player of standard model provided with L850 when I bought it.

  • Satellite A660-1DZ - reading Blu - ray HDMI by TVe

I have connected the PC to a TV Philips 42 "with capacity of 1080 p and HDMI 1. 3 has control. I chose TV as the only display (Fn + F5 function) device.
The default resolution emerged as 1920 x 1080. DVD plays without problem with the Toshiba drive group and upscaling on.

I just bought the blu - ray disc of experience OpusArte. It loads it starts playing with the Group DVD of Corel player. Then every 3 or 4 seconds the sound is interrupted - i.e. stop and stars again. Also, the sound and vision are out of sync. It's almost as if the sound is taken off the drive in 'packages' and joins are audible.
I can't really find the settings to change the audio - it crosses 2 stereo channels.
If I change the resolution of the TV from 1920 x 1080 to 1280 x 720 he played okay until about two minutes before the end of an element when the noise stops and restarts all of a sudden.
Playback on the PC without the connected TV is OK.

I don't know what blu - ray resolution is supposed to play in, but I tried from the looks of the same photo at the same time.
I also noticed that the PC using Intel Graphics all the time despite a Nvidia card. I bought this laptop particular, partly because he had blu - ray and HDMI capability. Also the Nvidia graphics do not appear to be used. I wonder if the processor is not dealing with the video and audio?

Any help or ideas on this would be very welcome.

    Thank you

Just a question: is described general issue or you have noticed with this blu - ray OpusArte?

  • Satellite A660 - software DVD 3D works expired or is secretly changed

Whats going on; Why lynched to pay an extra $59 for software to do my work in 3D satellite?

    Ok.
This probably sounds nuts; but my software DVD Blu - Ray Toshiba seems to have a DVD/Blu-ray inside prevention program. Prevent 3D questions and smaller.

It been screwed up since I've updated the software on the Toshiba site and when I updated the drivers from nVidia GTS 350 M.
It is perhaps false Co to the problems that began in the month previous/s; as I always do not play discs on this laptop; pinning so a date when it went pear shaped is more difficult.

But, after going through a nightmare (to not work on DVD or Blu - Ray on half of my records for months); I installed the last TRIAL ($59) Corel WinDVD Pro 11 player and everything (including 3D) works perfectly again. But 30 days only; until / unless I'm stripped $ 59 extra, that is.

    The problem is / was;

3D only worked on half of my discs Blu - Ray 3D to aid pre-installed (and later updated) Toshiba COREL WinDVD media PLAYER. Sometimes he only played 3D side by side; 2 images. No 3D. CURIOUSLY, some 3D Blu - Ray discs were very good. Region code not a problem.

Toshiba DVD player 3D/upconvertor program was the worst (not the SD version, I do not use).

3D Toshiba (HD) player would not recognize half of my portable Blu - ray 3D disc player content. Error message "DVD drive not recognized".
Drive DVD Toshiba would not convert any normal DVD to 3D.
Toshiba DVD player only play NORMAL 2D executing upconvert (not 3D).
Drive DVD Toshiba would play only DVD SPEED reduced by HALF when upconvert has been disabled. When you try to play a DVD in normal 2D mode.
All settings have been tried and modified to correct the problem, about a thousand times.
Software uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled a dozen times each.

I also had to uninstall the software and re - start and re - install the following: -.
driver nVidia graphics (nVidia own sites 295,73 and re - install the Toshiba 260.51 nVidia driver update 'old').

I used to be able to convert DVD in 3D using this laptop; If it worked several months before; but now everything has stopped for months.

It's a pain as I uninstalled everything and re-installed all the relevant software from the Toshiba homepage. but no solution to the problem without being mugged an additional $59.

I hate computers for the ten thousandth time.
    Hike 1 minute: -.
Its the latest product from Microsoft, I will never buy (garbage Windows Ultimate [had to buy a new A3 colour lazer printer as no driver Win 7 for my existing laser printer]).
SAMSUNG (3D internet TV) products in the future. No computers for ten years. Until the rats get it right and stop experimenting on my wallet. $10,000 on PC products in the last 5 years and still being able to do simple things like watching a 3D movie is something blindly.
I'm hiking... because a hundred hours of reading about how to make it work again jammed my head.

    Spec
    Toshiba A660 3D laptop. Satellite.
    Windows 7 Ultimate. Updated.
    Intel Core i7 1.73Ghz
    Graphic is GTS 350 M
4 GB of Ram (8-concert of the upgrade on order)
Spare 550 GB of hard drive space.
    Toshiba site; BIOS update.

Own 3D DVD Player Toshiba (don't cut the mustard) Version 4.00.1.08

3D Toshiba Corel WinDVD player (does not cut the mustard) Version 10.0.5.822

Nvidia graphics still works fine on the background of test page; makes me think of software; but all the software of bad has been updated. Re-installed and re-tried a hundred times with different parameters.

I thought that the disks were the problem. But 50 DVD not working not not in 3D conversion or defective by themselves? And half of my collection of Blu - Ray 3D?

I was wondering if these these problems are deeper than this one system. If there is a systemic problem somewhere (apart from blaming the user final buyer).

Toshiba assist line in one single call was a guy who knew far less than me and had to ask someone to tips for every part of the appeal. 2 hours telling me to re - install the software in a long, slow, bit by bit the way, eventually. We have done everything they can do to help. Now, they seem to blame the discs and have no response.

Microsoft x 64 Ultimate said his roger all do with them on their Helpline / email help.

    I tried nVidia without result;
    .
All the ideas; I bite the bullet and everyone ends up being gradually forced to pay for the $59 software get the job of the thing.

    What is the beef?

You have installed a clean Windows system that isn't preconfigured by Toshiba, so in this case, Microsoft is your point of contact regarding problems of system

  • Satellite L775-111 and Blu - Ray player

Okay, so I got my Satellite L775-111 for awhile now and at this time its served me faithfully. Recently, however, the original hard drive died and I had to replace it. Essentially, he did have a problem with that, but I'm now pulling my hair on the drive Blu - Ray from Toshiba or, on the contrary, the lack of it. It was on the original machine, but with the change of drive hard, I lost all my software. I've been trawling through pages of pilot and various other software sites, but I can only find UPDATES that obviously do not work without the drive itself.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get the software and the drivers again? Not being not able to watch my DVD/Blu-Ray becomes a real pain and I don't really know of any other service that I can use without having to pay even more money for it.

HPE337C answer DVD Blu - Ray?

Yes, he does.  Once I passed this request, I found that he scored on the front of the multimedia disc tray.  I don't currently have all the Blu - Ray discs but you want to get one and give it a shot.

Just finished watching "War horse" on the 27 "monitor.  It was not Blu - Ray, but as big screen, it was spectacular.  I have a Phillips DVR that I bought several years at Wal-Mart.  It will record TV on a 160GIG hard drive and burn a DVD of any program on the hard disk.  It is in the shop right now for the ejected disc repair.  I hope that it will be OK, because they aren't making them more and other manufacturers are about to phase out their units.  Sad

I'm considering the purchase of the Satellite L650-BT2N23 with Blu - ray player, but it does not come with a discreet graphics card.

My only option is the integrated graphics card Intel HD, and I fear that Blu - ray playback can suffer.

Can someone give an opinion on this?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Please read some information on the page of Intel on the Intel HD graphics chip.
The chip is called HD because it is able to process HD video which means it should eb strong enough to work with the blu - ray!

So in your case I wouldn't be afraid. The graphics chip is OK for video content high definition!

  • No longer autoplay video disks (DVD / Blu - Ray) (NOW RESOLVED)

I use windows 7 Professional (x 64) and have this annoying bug.

As of today, when I insert a Blu - Ray or DVD video disc, I get this error:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  May not permissions to access you the item. »

I am the administrator of my PC and there is NO secondary accounts.  Guest account is disabled.

There should be NO problem with permissions as I have full control of all my records and files.

This only happens with video discs and not to other disks.  I tried Google, but have found no chance whatsoever.

I can still access the files via windows Explorer, so I don't have access to the disk.  So why make this error instead of automatic reading I want to use.  When I insert a video disc, I want it automatically run my program of DVD/Blu-Ray and not spit this error at me.

I have no fear to think, but I solved the problem myself seconds after this thread.  AutoPlay is borked and DVD and Blu - Ray discs have been set to open a program not belonging is not in movies.  I put the function Autoplay use Arcsoft TotalMedia 5 to open when you insert a movie DVD or Blu - Ray and all roses.  I will not close this thread in case other users with this issue of stüble on it and the solution works for them also that google gave no miracle for what actually solved this problem.

You must have a third-party program to run Blu - ray discs.

    http://www.arcsoft.com/TotalMedia-Theatre/

    http://www.CyberLink.com/products/PowerDVD/overview_en_US.html?&r=1

Your new PC must have provided with software to play. Otherwise, I'd contact the manufacturer and see if she did or why it didn't.

  • DVD Blu Ray update

Does anyone has improved their DVD to Blu Ray in their area 51 R2.

If so, have what Blu Ray you installed.

    Appreciate any input.

Not so fast, he said R2.

I found this, bottom of page 1 @KPooh ><>my experience with 51 R2 (end of 2014): compatibility, damage and other matters:

"Updated... In my area 51 R2 packing list, I deduced that the optical drive is a 9.5 mm (' ultra thin ', I think) loading slot.  These discs are those on a Mac Book Pro, and while they have been seen on Windows laptops, they are few and far between. Lets hope that Dell will update the documentation/sales pitch for the R2 Area 51. A burner blu - ray with this form factor is the UJ-267 (Panasonic).

Readers of 9.5 mm have the same connectors to power/signal that most readers 'Slim' of 12.7 mm, but do not have a front frame, which requires the chassis to have a hole for the slot and a button that will be used to eject media on command.  This is consistent with the R2 Area 51.  They are also smaller than the 'slim' of 3.7 mm discs.

or chime & ask Mark if its orderly type suitable, if it is still frequent the forum or receives upd8s IDK:
