  I just bought a C50D Satellite with preinstalled Win8 but my application software is not compatible with Win 8 and it may be 12 months before a new version is coming. I want to downgrade to Win7 (32 bit) but are struggling to find the necessary drivers.

  But I guess that the drivers are still not available because this series is very recent market.

  Yes, it is always possible. Programs more open, the more RAM you use and of course more you have access to the hard drive, etc. If you suspect a certain process cause it then more than just multi-tasking and have quite a lot of programs open at once, you can use a program like Process Explorer - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

  I bought the Z30 A 1e1 Portege in December, but the battery's performance seem to be reduced in just two months. Indeed, now the battery saving mode life is about 4 hours from 6: 00 to about a month ago (toshiba says until 10: 00 but 4 h mode economy seem to be less than half). In addition, battery drains very quickly when it is to the value of 20%.

  There is a problem? I need to change the battery in warranty?

  I can't say with certainty if your battery is malfunctioning or not because the fact is that battery working time is always based on the use of the laptop.

  I was hoping that someone could help me. I recently bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite C50D - A00L that came with Windows 8 is installed.

  I have trouble with the loss of the laptop battery power when it is turned off.
  I had a full load and off, but when I turned it back three days later he was up to 50% of power.

  There are some some options and settings that should be checked.

  It looks like a flat battery.
  But check the connection of the battery first.

  Remove the battery and shortly after connect again.
  If this will not help then you should replace the battery and should test the laptop using the new battery.

  By reset procedure do you mean remove the battery and by pressing and holding the long power 30 dry?
  It is the common procedure in case the laptop doesn't wake up no more.

With the option "Refresh your PC", accounts of users, data files and some settings are retained on your PC without the need to create a backup or make choices about what to keep or delete.

  This means that the data should not be affected by using the update your PC option.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite C50D - B - 11 portable X. He was about 6 months, and had nothing but problems from day one. Really wish id increased for the next. But stuck with it now.

  I have internet wifi which is very fast and reliable in my area. However as the months have passed, the laptop has gone in and out of the internet reception and is gradually degraded.

  All of a sudden does not connect to internet, sometimes for a few minutes, but which a strung out to several hours sometimes now. I went on the site of toshiba and updated all my drivers etc.

  And I was using aid cable directly from the internet area of sky to the portable computer, which worked a treat for a few weeks but now is doing the same thing. Internet works for a little while, then refuses to do anything. Said that there is no internet connection at all times. But there isn't...

  There is absolutely no problem with the internet, im typing this on my work laptop partners that is connected via wifi and NEVER has problems with internet, works perfect contiouusly and still works 100% even if my lapop Toshiba immediately next to it has a fit of anger.

  What can I do?

  Can you confirm that the problem of internet connection is displayed using LAN and WLan connection?

  Have you tried to connect this laptop to another WiFi in your area? IE test connectivity in relationship with the neighbour s WLan.

  In case you have the same problem with LAN and WLan, I think only one kind of software (some of the antivirus or security settings) which is always preinstall on this laptop could cause the problem.

  In my opinion, you should recover the laptop back to factory settings and should test the functionality of the laptop once more without any 3rd software installation part.

  Check the internet connection by using different browsers like IE, Firefox and Chrome.

  For example, new notebook will do the automatic updates of Windows.
