  Satellite L500 is not win 8 taken upgrade supported, so I think that the problem is a missing driver or software

  As far as I know to be able to use the keys FN added value package to win 8 must be installed.

  I just bought this new laptop. I have updated to Windows 8 Windows 10. Everything worked fine before the update. I am now active on Windows 10 and the mouse pad does not work.   I Hare recently upgradedmy Toshiba Satellite L855-149 to the most recent version of windows 8 6.2 and since I did then the Synaptics touch pad stopped working, I guess because the driver does not work with this version of windows 8.
