  • Satellite Pro C650: USB flash memory starts to load then crashes

    Hello

I have my new Satellite Pro C650 laptop for about 2 weeks and there is already a problem with it.
When I insert a flash drive into a usb drive, it starts to load, but as soon as it loads it crashes as if I disconnected, and then start loading again again and again until I have unplug it really.

The flash disk works fine on other computers, so it shouldn't be the problem.
Device Manager indicates that my drivers are ok.
Is not only the USB flash drive mouse works fine when I plug in usb...

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?
    If so, thanks in advance

    Hello

Strange in your case I recommend you test another USB key into the Satellite laptop. I know you have tested this stick in other laptops, but it would be interesting to know how the other USB key would be instrumented C650.

I recommend in addition updated the operating system Windows and the BIOS to the latest status.
In addition, you should go to Device Manager and delete the list of devices USB controllers. Then restart the device and wait for windows has installed again all the USB controllers.

  • Toshiba 40SL733g - how do I play video files from USB flash memory

When I plug my USB key into the USB port, menu Media Player comes with two options: Photos and settings.

How can I make my TV recognize and play video files from USB flash memory?
    Flash is on FAT32.

I tried to play avi, mp4 and mkv files, but nothing happens. It seems that flash is empty.

Could you please help me solve this problem.
    Thank you!

bzunic, have you updated the firmware your model?

With my own game, (32RL900A), the notice said that some of the buttons of the remote control are "unused", however, after the first update of the firmware, the "unused" buttons have been used, (in our case, record, Time Shift and so on).

Is the reason why I talk about this, these features became available after an update of the firmware and not included in the manual of the user, in our case, and a subsequent download of the instruction manual for our model actually gave instructions for the use of these features, which have been presented as 'not available '. in the manual original instructions supplied with the TV, but became available after the update of the firmware.

Let us know how it works...

  • Win 7 Backup and Restore does not recognize the USB flash drives.

Win 7 Backup and Restore does not recognize the USB flash drives for a backup image or a recovery disc.  Given that Windows 7 Starter Edition is used in many, if not most of the netbooks and netbooks have no optical drive, support for flash (thumb) drives would be very handy, especially for repair and recovery.

You can't save backups to a flash drive, you need an external USB hard drive.

Then I try to install it via a PEN drive bootable with integrated... XP but when I go into the BIOS I n I find USB Boot option... :-(

Then I remove my main hard drive and put it in another laptop and install the XP, its work in this laptop, but unfortunately when I put the new HARD drive the Qosmio his departure gives the XP logo but in 5-10 sec its judgment and give a blue screen message then then restart automatically...

plezz help me install XP or Vista or 7 those who works there...

plezzz plezzz sound my laptop preferred

    Thanks in advance

    > Then I try to install via a PEN drive bootable with integrated... XP but when I go into the BIOS I n I find USB Boot option... :-(

Connect the USB flash memory key to the laptop, now switch on and press F12.
The start menu should appear where you could see all the possible boot devices.

Do you see the USB boot option in the start menu?
If this isn't the case, then you will not be able to boot from USB flash memory.

    > Then I remove my main hard drive and put it in another laptop and install the XP, its work in this laptop, but unfortunately when I put the new HARD drive the Qosmio his departure gives the XP logo but in 5-10 sec its judgment and give a blue screen message then then restart automatically...

I guess that this is because the RAID drivers was not included!
Qosmio G20 supports the RAID controller and you add the RAID driver (located on the Toshiba UE driver page) in order to recognize the HARD drive.
But I put t know if you could do so using another computer I guess that's not possible.

Maybe you can try to disable RAID in BIOS

  • Satellite L675 - 11 H - cannot access and/or played on USB flash drive files

    Hi all

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L675 - 11H and tried to transfer files from a USB Pendrive on my hard drive from Toshiba. The files were already transferred from my old laptop (HP - XP) on my USB flash drive.

Unable to access the USB flash drive to any of the USB ports that I connect my new laptop flash drive. What could be the problem here? Thank you for your help or tips!

    Hey Rush,

Can you post more detailes about this behavior? What happens if you connect your laptop HARD drive, you don't see that Windows installs the drivers for the new USB device or do you have an error message? If you have connected the USB check of Windows disk management if she s recognized there (Control Panel > system and security > administrative tools).

Have you tried other USB devices such as USB mice? If they don t work too the problem might be connected to the USB ports. In this case, you must delete all the USB ports on the Device Manager and restart your laptop. Also the chipset driver update might help.

  • Satellite C650 - wouldn't boot via USB

Long story, please bear with me

A friend of a friend has a laptop Toshiba Satellite C650 she bought less new year with Windows 7 top and a few weeks ago, she had problems with a virus/spyware and paid somebody £40 who said they would sort it out with it. When it is revenue that he would just try to start XP and then the blue screen of death as XP tries to start. All attempts to communicate with the person who did this Fix has since then.

Knowing that I have a Satellite and a reasonable knowledge of computers, my friend asked me if I could have a look and try and do a setup that would work for her and I agreed thinking along the lines of using my Vista Satellite, CD boot recovery disc, install Vista and then upgrade to Windows 7 by using the product key that she on his machine so enter the bios that I put it to start starting from the CD, insert the CD, turn on and off the drive, but he tried to load XP before the dreaded blue screen of death again :( Looks like that there is not drivers for the CD drive :(

So I copy the files to an external hard drive that is empty I put the boot menu to boot from the USB key, plug the HD and turn on and instead of boot from the external drive, it still attempts to load XP before the blue screen again.

I ve done the same with Hirems on the disk and once again the same thing, what it will do is try to load a version of XP from somewhere and then crush the dreaded :(blue screen

Any ideas what can be the problem and how can I force it to load from my external hard drive so that I can do a format and reinstall?

    Which is higher
    Holmey

    Hey,.

A little confused your assignment, you used another disk of your Toshiba laptop recovery, right? Well, if it s not the same mode, it will not work because each laptop model has its own installation of recovery with different drivers and tools. There is therefore no recovery disk that works for each laptop model.

Best way to restore a clean Windows installation is for this model of laptop recovery disk. If you n t have it can be ordered directly from Toshiba:

  • Satellite L20-100 cannot access a USB Flash drive

I recently bought Toshiba Satellite L20-100
I installed a USB in Kingston datatraveler flash drive and windows recognized it without problem.
but when I open my computer there is no icon for the reader (it works on another computer well).
the drive is recognized in Device Manager, but it is not given a drive letter.
When I open disk management and try to give it a drive letter it still does not show on my computer even after a reboot.

Although I can access the disk management flash drive and can open, copy & paste the files & to her.
same problem happened with a card reader.
other USB devices like cable modem & mouse work well

    What is the solution

    Hello

Is it possible that the USB is not formatted? Try changing the file system on the USB key.
You can also try to change the drive letter because the letter assigned automatically sometimes gives some conflicts with other readers.

    Second possibility:
You can try to clean all the USB stored device settings and let Windows refresh their.

Create a file with Notepad containing the following lines and save it as a BOOKMARK. REG
    -cut after this line-
    REGEDIT4

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Environment]

    "DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES" = "1".
    -cut before this line-

Double click on FIX. REG and say yes to the merge into registry question.

    Unplug ALL USB device.
    Open the Device Manager.
    View, show hidden devices.
Uninstall all devices under USB controllers.
Uninstall all devices in hard drives that you know are not present.
Uninstall all devices in storage Volumes. Say no to all reboot prompts until you are finished.
In addition, if a storage Volume doesn't uninstall, ignore her and move on to the next.
If you have a yellow? with unknown devices, uninstall all of the entries there as well.

    Hello

It's really weird, but flash animations on most sites (sites like Ustream) will not play after that I updated the flash player. The funny thing is that on youtube play very well. I've tried disabling the addon of shockwave, relocation, etc., but nothing works. This problem is with firefox only because as the Chrome and Explorer the flash player works fine.

    Thank you.

Thank you. In fact, it was not necessary because I have disabled protected mode flash and who did it. However, seems like it is not the best option but average tiem, I guess I have no choice.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I found some interesting details in the user's Manual: Please see page 40
Formats of files supported for USB Mode
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/PDF/manuals/LCDTV/English/Country_Specific/L1433-48-English-specific.PDF

You will find the audio and video codec supported.

Please note that it s not enough to use supported like mpg, mkv or avi file extension
As already mentioned by user above; You must use supported codec.

  • Satellite C650 does not read 4 GB mirco SD card

    Hello

I have a problem reading my micro SD card. It is not a HS card, just a normal mirco SD 4 GB card.
I insert it into the SD slot, but my computer does not respond what so ever.

I downloaded the Realtek card reader but stil nothing.
I'm afraid that I might have deleted the bridge media in the list of programs.

    Can someone help me please.

Thank you very much in advance

    Hello

The Satellite C650 card reader supports SD card, SDHC, MultiMediaCard card and mini SD card in the SD adapter.

    microSD card are not supported.

PS: Check the status of card reader in Device Manager. Then, you will know if the pilot was properly installed. If there is no yellow? signs near the card reader, then everything should be ok

  • Satellite C650 does not start - error PXE - M0F

Just bought a Satellite C650, get it home and my son decided to stop the whole upward as he ran.

Now, we get the error below:

Check the connection of the cable!
PXE - M0F: Exit Intel PXE ROM
No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key.

We received no drives, nor a manual with adequate instructions and can't find anything on the web for help.
    Toshiba closes for the day.

Hoping that this forum could give me an idea.

    Hello

PXE error is displayed because the laptop has attempted to boot from LAN.
Why it does not start from the HARD drive but LAN switches?
I think the HARD drive is defect.
Perhaps its also not recognized in BIOS.

Switch on and press F2. This allows you to access the BIOS where you could check if the HARD drive is recognized. I guess it must be mentioned on the first page.
If it s not there, then it means that the HARD drive is dead and must be replaced.

I assume that the warranty is still valid; Therefore, you should get in touch with Toshiba ASP in your country for replacement.
