  I have a Satellite M30 (204, according to me, model 60 GB 1.6 GHz) and I try to update the BIOS but get the error message the "the user is not allowed to update the bios. The reason why I'm trying to update it is I just bought a 250 GB hard drive, but the BIOS does recognize that 128 GB and I guess the most up-to-date BIOS will allow the drives of this size, although I have not found any documentation for precise to say so be it.

  Someone at - it a patch to update the BIOS (I don't think I have a usb floppy drive drive anywhere) or to access the full capacity in other ways? Thank you.

  Usually, the update of the BIOS routine has absolutely NOTHING to do with the capacity of your hard disk drive. You are working with a limited user account? If not, I suggest right clicking on the BIOS update file and choose the option "Run as..". Subsequently a windows pop up and you ask under which user you want to run this program. Click on the "Next user" radio button and choose the administrator. If you have a password for your admin account and then type in, otherwise it should start automatically.

  Make sure that you change in the Acrobat application using Acrobat PDF | Edit PDF files, and not in Acrobat Reader DC. As Acrobat Reader DC can't edit PDF files.

  Click on the folder and change your permissions for it and all subfolders and files all rights and if necessary take hand the case (and maybe the parent folder or even its parent - and all of the subfolders and files) until you have the permission you need.  Here are the general procedures to help you:

  I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro. I think it's a 2410, the model is PS241E-5G7U9-EN. I also have a Belkin Wireless PSMCIA card, model No. FSd7010. For a long time * these worked perfectly.* the computer serves pretty well, and I received it as a gift.

  About 7-8 months, I had a catastrophic failure. I do not have the restore disc, so I had to do a format and a new install of XP Pro, and then I added drivers Toshiba etc. supplied with the PC, as I had this drive. I updated Windows SP3. The Belkin card took the latest downloaded drivers.

  First of all, I had huge problems to make the card work, due to all kinds of conflicts and other issues. Now, the card will work, BUT only when the machine has 100% power. As soon as this fall, or if the machine is cut off in any other way that a stop (Hibernate, or lid closed), the card Belkin turns off and will not allow all.
