Satellite L10: Module memory SO-DIMM PC3200 will work?

I want to upgrade a computer Toshiba Satellite L10 laptop 256 MB 1 x to 2 x 512 MB RAM. This laptop requires RAM PC2100. I seem to have a number of options:
* 512 MB DDR SO-DIMM PC2100 (266) CASE 2.5 - 3-3-6
* 512 MB DDR SO-DIMM PC2700 (333) CASE 2.5 - 3-3-7
* 512 MB DDR SO-DIMM PC3200 (400) CASE 3-3-3-8

Is there a reason why I shouldn't use PC3200 RAM, it's less expensive than PC2100?

512 MB DDR2 SO - DIMM PC5300 (667) CASE 5-5-5-15 sticks are even cheaper, but told me that a system designed for DDR will not work with DDR2 RAM - is this true?

By the way, if I had to use 1 GB sticks, they work only with 512 MB each, obviously?

{Thank you very much for all the tips: 8}

Thanks for the hardware upgrade is to use compatible and not the cheapest parts. What is reason enough for you?

I recommend you to use compatible parts only. If you need numbers for compatible parts please let us know.

What's the problem? It seems that the laptop works well, but Microsoft Office programs are not installed. Am I wrong?

If you need these programs, you must install it again. If you n t have this CD, you must buy it! All that s

PS; The recovery CD Toshiba does not contain Microsoft Office applications!
Some recovery CD contains Microsoft OneNote, but not Microsoft Office!

  • Satellite L10 - 205 - product recovery CD does not work

I buy a Toshiba Satellite L10 - 205 laptop from Dubai and since it was working fine.
But now it became slow and I thought that to format using the original product recovery CD.

When I format, it gives an error about 25% of the formatting.
I tried to do it again and again, but the same problem persists.

Which, in my opinion, I had the wrong product recover CD when it starts formatting he says loading Windows 98, but I have windows xp on my computer.

Could you please give me the soultion or is it possible to get the right porduct recovery CD

    > Which, according to me, I had the wrong product recover CD when it starts formatting he says loading Windows 98, but I have windows xp on my computer.
This is not a defect, Toshiba image that sits on the recovery disc for an old series laptop is based on Win 98 again Win XP is on the disc! So don t worry it s Win XP!

I m not very well why you can not recover the laptop, but there are two options; HARD drive failure is so the laptop has been slower or the recovery disk is faulty (maybe a few scratches, etc.)

In case you, it would be desirable to test the laptop with other bootable disks (MS Win XP or Linux) to check if the HARD drive is ok

  • This memory will work with the 23-g010 Pavilion?

I have a HP Pavilion 23-g010 all in one PC of office tomorrow. I have a question about RAM upgrades. I have a HP Pavilion laptop 2010nr g7. I looked at the specs and they look like both use PC3-12800-1600 MHz memory chips. No one knows for sure if the memory of the laptop will work in the Office? I would like to extend that 4 GB in the office by adding 4 GB of the laptop (to give the office 8GB). This would allow me to save money in new purchasting RAM for now.

Does anyone know if the memory of these two machines are compatible?

    I don't blame you.

No, if the memory is not compatible, the PC boots or something like that.

It should not destroy your PC.

Just make sure that you unplug before working inside the PC.

According to me, that it will work fine as long as the tensions are the same.

These two circuits must be of 1, 5V.

Even if the chip is 1.35v, the worst-case scenario is that the PC does not start.

Some memory claims DDR3L (low voltage = 1.35v).

  • Satellite L10-226, what memory inside?

    Hello

I am interested in buying a portable satellite L10-226, but it has only 256 MB of DDR Ram. For this reason I will update the Ram 512 MB DDR - Ram after buying. What memory does Toshiba use for this model (Timings/speed/producer)?
If I get a 512 MB DDR - Ram inside and sell the original 256 MB Modul, is there any warranty issue, if the laptop has a defect or I am authorized to change memory by myself?

    Thanks for your help,

    Kind regards

    BoLzI

    Hello

I can't find any specific details for the L10-226, but I found some information for the L10-224, which has two available RAM slots and uses 1 x 256 MB module or module 1 X 512 MB, leaving 1 spare slot.

If you L10 - 226 has this configuration so your cheapest upgrade would be to add a second 256 MB module to the second slot giving you a total of 512 MB. The module for this is 200-pin PC2700 (333 Mhz) DDR SODIMMreference number PA3311U-1 M 25

The module of 512 MB is PA3312U-1 M 51part number.

The mnodules of RAM are components replaceable by the user so changing them will not affect your warranty at all. However, if your computer is then sevelops a fault with the modules of RAM, then you would not be able to get them has changed under warranty Toshiba, you must return yourself to the vendor from whom you got their.

  • Upgrade memory on Satellite L10

My wife recently bought a Satellite L10-114, which has 256 RAM. She found use a little on the slow side compared to my L20 with 512. Do I have reason to assume that an another 256 can be added in the second memory location to reach 512?
Or does have the 256 existing must be replaced with a 512 MB?

    Hi Brian,.

You can leave the existing implemented 256 MB module and add an additional module for the second span. Please see the following link for the appropriate details http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=13380&ft=m&st=3

  • Question on the module memory for Satellite A60

I have a Satellite A60-352, and I was wondering if I can put my module memory of my laptop on my desk. And another thing, where I find the module in my cell phone because I'm not.

    Thank you

    Hello

The fact is that the A60 was equipped with an internal memory (256 MB or 512 MB).
This memory is not removable and so you only have one memory for an upgrade slot.
Usually the A60 manages the PC2100 200 pin SODIMM (266 MHz) DDR modules.
So, you can use the modules from different manufacturers that support the above specifications.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L10-102 RAM upgrade does not

    Hello

I bought 512 MB PC3200 RAM for my L10. After installing the module the computer failed to initialize. I tried all possible combinations (like changing slots, only install new modules), but the computer only starts with the original module. I would appreciate any help on the issue.

    Concerning

    Hello

    Satellite L10 needs this memory:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

    Good bye

  • Satellite L10-119 freezes after RAM upgrade

My Satellite L10 is 4 years old. I wanted to update this change of RAM and HARD disk.
I installed in RAM DDR1 SoDimm 1 GB PC-3200 (a unit) and used my computer for a few hours.

But next time, he started to make mistakes and freeze or stop going to the blue screen.
When I use DDR1 SoDimm 512 MB PC-2700 as a single unit, everything is OK.

Will not track with * 1 Gb PC - 3200 * to use?

    Hello

    Case is clear!
    > When I use DDR1 SoDimm 512 MB PC-2700 as a single unit, everything is OK
You used the not entirely compatible RAM modules!
This is the reason why your laptop freezes!

The fact is that your L10 can be upgraded to 1 GB RAM max, this means you need to use max 512 MB RAM module in a slot

In addition, you can use the PC2700 200 pins (333 Mhz) DDR SODIMM modules and not of PC3200

  • Additional fee for the Satellite C660-116 memory

    Hello

I would like to add to my Satellite C660-116, which has a memory 800 Mhz 1 GB installed DDR3 2 GB of additional memory. (Samsung M471B2873FHS-CH9, 204 pins SODIMM)

After consulting with several Internet sites it can a confusion now:

    Samsung 1 GB DDR3 10666 1333 MHz laptop memory
    Samsung 1 GB DDR3 10600 1333 MHz laptop memory

While the official website of Toshiba says 800 Mhz.

It was easire to find a DDR2 800 Mhz for a DDR3 at 800 Mhz, however, to get a DDR3 at 1333 MHz 2 GB is very simple and reasonable in cost.

Someone could say 2 GB memory which would be the best to buy (a 204-pin SoDIMM DDR2 800 Mhz) or a DDR3 1333 Mhz or something else?
    Thank you

Toshiba recommends the use of the module of RAM 2 GB compatible with PA3676U-1M2G part number.
This memory has been tested and works perfectly.

If you want to have high quality I recommend you use Kingston RAM compatible RAM for your Satellite is KTT1066D3 / 2G.

Check the two modules and compare the price. Always is it that both of them are high quality products, and you will have no problems using one of them.

By the way: your laptop can be upgraded up to 4 GB so I think you must be upgraded to the maximum level.
