Satellite L300 - 12K PSLB0E: hardware upgrade

Hello!

I would like to increase my ram, but the Toshiba site, the specifications indicate that the max ram is 2048.
Is this correct, or if I can replace my 2 x 1024 for example putting 2 x 2048?

I want to upgrade the processor too. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

> Is this correct.
Yes.

Computer laptop Satellite L300 - 12K PSLB0E supports the Chipset Mobile Intel GL960 Express
Here you can find some s chipset Specifications:
http://Ark.Intel.com/products/29830/Intel-82GL960-graphics-and-memory-controller

As you can see it this chipset supports 2 GB RAM max. This means that you can use 2 x 1 GB RAM modules

> I would like to upgrade the processor too. Is this possible?
Such t upgrade is officially supported by the laptop manufacturers. That is why its hard to say if the new CPU is running properly.

Is that these updates depends on the support of chipset and BIOS support. Where the CPU is not compatible with one of the mentioned parts, laptop computer will not work

  • Re: Is Windows 7 beta ok for Satellite L300 - 12K?

    Hello

I intend to try Windows seven on my Satellite L300 - 12K
    All devices work ok?
    What stability?
    Perfomance better than vista?

    Thank you

As you know Windows 7 is only the beta version and it is still not supported.
This means that you can test without drivers Toshiba, tools and utilities.

I use Windows 7 since last week on my Satellite Pro P300 and it works well. I didn't install any additional driver. For me, it's the same as Vista. The differences are not so great and terrible.
The performance is OK. I'm didn't notice a big difference comparing with wista Vista.

Install it and see if you like it or not.

  • Satellite L300 - 13R PSLB0E - upgrade operating system, Vista, Windows 7

Hello. At my laptop for a couple of years now using the Vista operating system. I think to do a new clean install of Windows 7 x 64.

Is it possible on this laptop and how easy is it going to be? I'm irritable don't but am afraid that if I do the clean install, I lose my drivers etc.

Also, is there anyway to back to the Toshiba laptop programs – recognition of faces etc etc?

    > Is it possible on this laptop and how easy is it going to be?
    It's very easy.

If you have important data on the HARD drive, then it backs up before installing Win 7
Win 7 L300-13R PSLB0E series drivers are available on the European driver Toshiba page.

If don t see why not to install Win 7 it s really nice OS.

  • Satellite L300 - 22L - who to upgrade RAM?

    Hello.

I have laptop Satellite L300 - 22L. Can you tell me which is the best RAM to my system in speed and capacity?

    Hello!

Satellite L300 - 22L belongs to the PSLB8E series and is equipped with an Intel GL40 chipset.

This means that for the upgrade of the RAM you need of modules with the DDR2 667 MHz specification for a maximum of 4 GB.

Theoretically, you can buy modules with these specifications of each production, but I have good experiences with the Kingston modules. I always use them to improve my notebooks and never had any problems.

    Good bye

Mobile units are no built like desktop computers and these updates is not possible. Hardware upgrade on laptops is very limited and can be done with the RAM and HARD drive.

If you need machine with more performance is upgraded RAM up and implement faster SSD HARD drive or you need to buy the new laptop.

  • Satellite L300 - 17l: how to upgrade Intel GMA X 3100: 256 MB to 358 MB

I have Toshiba Satellite L300 - 17l, short model No.: PLBSCE, with an Intel GMA X 3100 video card.
His memory is 256 MB, how can I switch it to 358MB?

    My RAM is 2 GB.

Will be happy if you give me answer :)

    Hello

It is not possible! I mean that you can not change this manually.
Everything is controlled by the display driver and would serve as automatically.

By the way; graphics card is not extensible because it s part of the motherboard.

2 DVD: is it possible to replace the CD on a dvd player? How can I remove the cd player?
3 CPU: is it possible to replace the CPU with a bit more recent? If so, how?

    Hello

This unit is an oldie. It s about 7 years and as far as I know it has been bundled with a 4 GB HARD drive.
Unfortunately I put t believe that more HARD drive be recognized on this laptop.
The series XCDT supports 4GB max and XDVD series supports hard drives 6 GB.
Xdvd models were shipped with a DVD - rom drive and these models have been supported: SD-C2102 and SD-C2202
In addition, it is not possible to upgrade the processor.

  • Satellite L500-1XL - new hardware upgrades

    Hi all
I have the Toshiba Satellite L500-1XL and recently bought a new 500 GB internal HD and the upgrade went well. However, the internal transfer speeds aren't that fast. He is often out on 18mps level. Why? Affects of that? Use of the RAM, the use of the disk, the free storage space? The HD came with the laptop was 5400 with 8 MB, but my new is 7200 RPM with 16 MB with 11 seconds of access time. If that should not be much faster?

Also, how can we get the support of USB 3.0? Only through new hardware? I know it goes into Windows 8 as this means there could be a few Windows 7 supports or who is still dependent on material?

What are the most effective upgrade options to make my laptop run faster? He was modest. When I got it, but now use it for any need so get. Thus, upgrading to HD 160 GB to 500 GB (5400-7200), but it's unique processor with only 2 GB of RAM. I noticed on the Toshiba page so it says on a 64 bit system with 4 GB of RAM, the chart may use up to 1 800 MB of RAM upgrade RAM (not expensive) and then the processor? Even a single dual core would do the job? No need for a costly i3 and perhaps not compatible with the motherboard.

    Thank you!

    Hey Buddy,

And what was your old HDD? HARD disk speed depends on different factors. You copy a large number of small files and a large single file?
It s also useful to defragment the HARD drive from time to time. This can improve the speed. Also keep the system clean and use a registry cleaner like CCleaner that cleans up your registry.

USB3.0 is a different interface. This new operating system wouldn t help you because it s material new feature/upgrade.

Other improvements regarding: CPU and graphics card is not supported as you can read here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ35006D000RR01.htm

Your laptop has Intel GL40 chipset and the maximum RAM capacity is 4 GB. So you can install 2 GB DDR2-667 module in each memory location.

1: it includes T2330 cpu, I want to change that, only we can I?
2: graphics card it is so weak, I want to change it too, is this possible? There are some pictrures I downloaded here, I opened the laptop and I found an empty area on the case, is not case of hdd, hdd is different, this box blank is what?

Photos uploaded to this link: www.tcmline.com/toshiba

    Hello

Check it please this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm
Update CPU or GPU is not supported.

Support is upgrade RAM or HARD drive.
The P200 is old enough Vista machine. Without any risk you can upgrade RAM to the maximum level and changes very fast with SSD HARD drive.

This laptop is also supported for Win7 32 bit. I use Win7 too on my old P200D and I m very happy with it. The performance is very good and portable works without any problem.

  • Satellite L300-180 PSLB0E-06Y02SGR: Possible HARD drive failure

    Here's my problem:

A few days ago my HARD drive started making unusual mechanical noises, resulting in a momentary freeze (Windows XP Pro). Yesterday, after loading Windows XP Home edition and screen rather than go to the login screen, I didn't have a black screen and the same does HARD drive noises Windows freeze. Same thing when the computer reboots, with safe mode does not work yet. Trying to reinstall windows, the HARD disk has been correctly detected (SATA in compatibility mode), formatted and copied all of the installation files. After reaching the last 5 minutes of installing WXP however, same noise appararurent again, followed by possibly a BSOD; Error STOP 0x000000F4 (0 x 00000003, 0x88DE3DA0, 0x88DE3F14, 0x805D1142).

My HARD drive is lost? I can't access any service warranty until next week, so I would like to know what could be the cause of this problem, and if I can fix me.

    Thaks

    Hello

Noise in the HARD disk isn't really quite normal. If the recovery has been tried already and same problem persist then that means that there is really something wrong with the hardware. Send it in for a thorough check as the warranty expires thaty already if they can check in the depot. :)
