Satellite L350 - strange screen problem (contrast is gone)

Has anyone met on Toshiba Satellite L350 - 14f (PSLD0E-00v01men) a display problem where looks contrast went?

Is this a common fault so that it works well on screen/TFT external?

I checked gamma, even started in safe mode and used a standard VGA driver.

    What would be the problem?

Sorry for the (-), but the forum is telling me that the words were more effective.

    Hey,.

If you are using an external monitor and it s very well, it seems that the card driver and graphic display working properly and doesn t cause this problem.

I think the problem is related to the internal LCD display or the cable of the LCD screen.

In my opinion, you should contact a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can check your laptop with professional diagnostic tools to identify the problem. In addition, they can repair and order original spare parts Toshiba.

  • Wireless Satellite L350 - 03 M problem

    Hello

I bought a * Satellite L350 - 03 M PSLD0C * with XP installed on it (I uninstalled Vista) +. I installed all drivers successfully, with cable Internet works but I found a driver for my wireless Atheros network card (or it is an Intel adapter? I don't know but I try the two drivers with no good result).

I try * Atheros AR9280 Wireless Network Adapter * this site Web from Toshiba tell me to try, but I received a warning from Windows telling me that this driver does not work and tell me to reinstall.
So I reinstall the driver about 4 - 5 times but same result: a warning from Windows telling me to reinstall...

I did a lot of research but I have not found anything of *(on Atheros, Intel and Toshiba website) *, and I tried a few Vista drivers and much more... Nothing works...

    Now, I'm desperate...

Is there anyone who can help me?

+ PS: Sorry for my English I'm a Canadian french. I hope you understand. +
    Thank you very much.
    Max.

    Hello

First of all I see that you do not know what card WLan had in Notepad.
Turn the laptop and check the labels at the bottom of the unit.
It should be placed on the wireless network card info.

After you have discovered what the WiFi card has been installed, I recommend to visit the page of the Canadian driver Toshiba and download and reinstall WLan driver compatible.

After installation, check the LAN in the device manager card if it has been installed correctly.

  • Re: Satellite A300D - strange keyboard problem

    Hello!

    I have a problem with my Satellite A300D: when I press on 'y' or '5', I get a "y5" and when I press "n" or "b", I get a "nb".
If I hold down y or 5, it seems y5yyy... and with n and b I get nbnnn...

What you think could be the problem? Keyboard? Or some other hardware controller?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It is difficult to say why this happens, but in your case I would like to connect an external keyboard and check this. You may notice the same behavior?

If not, I think the case is clear: your keyboard internal doesn t work properly and you need a new. Therefore, you can contact a service provider authorized in your country.

By the way: have you checked the keyboard input language?

  • Satellite 2450-101internal screen problem

I have a problem with the screen on my 2450. I contacted Toshiba technical who have said that it is the screen and not the inverter. Video output works very well so I suspect not the graphics card. Is someone can you please tell me if they have experienced this problem with a solution if possible. You can check the problem of screen here: http://domain802099.sites.fasthosts.com/Tosh/DSC00817.JPG

Sorry for the quality of the image.

    Concerning

    Hello

Unfortunately, there are not many possibilities.
If the technician Toshiba says s ups not a FL and if the graphics card is not dead so I guess there is a problem with the display.
But there is a diagnostic test detailed necessary for the location of the defect.
I would recommend contacting the Toshiba service again. The technician must check the laptop.

    Hello

    What exactly do you mean?
You can see something on the internal or is completely black screen?

You should try an external monitor on the laptop. So you can determine if the problem is the screen-based internal or graphics card.

In addition if your laptop is still under warranty, you must contact an authorized assistance service provider. They can repair the laptop.

Do you have an idea about this problem?

A colleague advised me to update my graphics driver which is currently version 06/12/2008 Intel Corporation 7.15.10.I502 for Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family. What is the URL and the name of the file to download the latest driver?

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. I don't know since when you have this strange problem but if possible, try to roll back the OS to an earlier time until she starts to happen. Use the System Restore tool to do this.

I don't know what is the seriousness of this problem may be but and if the display driver installation can help. To be honest I don't think. My advice to you is to back up all your important data and install OS again using recovery image installation. After doing this you will have factory again and everything will be OK.

By the way: I think that this old notebook is supported for Win7. A long time ago I ve installed Win7 32 bit on L300 and there HERE perfectly. Much better than the original Vista OS.

  • Satellite L350 - screen turns pink

Hi guys, I was wondering if you can help me!

I just bought a new Satellite L350, but after a few days of working with it, my pc screen goes pink! It goes back to normal for a short time, then flashes and then goes back to a shade of pink!

I handed my laptop to the dealer, but after a few days, the dealer gives me the laptop and said that the laptop is OK. (the laptop was not repaired be the dealer, has only been tested, but no problem occurs at the moment) Now it works normally...

I thing this is a manufacturing problem material, because it happened just the power button is pressed, the window is load.
I've read a few articles on the internet and most of them referred to it as a problem of bulb.

Do you: I must insist to the dealer to replace my laptop with a new (or repair) o

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

Have you tried to update the display driver and BIOS? Maybe it s a hardware issue, but first, I would try to update the two things.

  • Satellite L350 - D 215 black screen with blinking cursor

Satellite L350-D 215 black with cursor flashing screen - it worked fine said he had to restart and that's what happened, I can't in windows allows any single me in bios and Boot Manager.

I am looking for help to solve this problem. I don't know what went wrong, my warranty runs out on December 26, 2010 so if I can't fix it myself can I have return to toshiba to fix. I'm at a loss as to how to solve this problem, I have no disk for laptop recovery.

I tried the fix when you remove the battery and press the power button to 30 seconds doesn't not work, also tried leaving a few hours without battery and tried plugging in to power same, toshiba screen and only boot in the bios etc usually let HDD boot in windows only in black screen and blinking cursor.

Any help much appreciated. I saw the restoration of disks for £9.95 on a Web site for the machine so don't know what to do... totally empty.

    Hello

    I agree with Akuma.
Blinking cursor means that the Windows OS can not be loaded / booted up.
You need to reinstall new OS.

If you have a Microsoft windows CD you can use this disk to reinstall the operating system. The necessary drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.
Otherwise, you would need order a recovery disc Toshiba from here:

  • Satellite L350 frozen/broken screen

    Hello

I hope someone can help me, I bought the laptop Satellite L350 2 weeks ago, I put in place exactly as the instructions told me to do and everything was fine. I used the laptop every day since I bought it because I was the synchronization of music on my ipod.

A couple of days, I went to connect and an error message came, he gave me a list of options to start the laptop - safe mode, safe mode with network, safe mode with prompt and open windows normally. I chose all 4 options and all charge / turn on the computer and I go to the step of the password, but every time I try to click on the Start button or whatever it is on my desktop from my laptop it freezes on the screen.

I checked the battery and all caps and turned on and off several times hoping that it to solve the problem but it doesn't! It is true that I didn't stop my computer correctly the last time that I used it, but I didn't have a lot of things open at once (if that makes a difference?).

I m really waste technology, I would be grateful if someone could share their knowledge on how to fix this or if you have had a similar problem and how solve you this problem?

    Thank you
