Satellite A55-S306 - screen problems

Satellite A55-S306 screen works, but begins to r-o-l-l and f-l-i-c-k-e-r. I can use an external monitor and it is fine.
What would be the problem?

Sorry for the (-), but the forum is telling me that the words were more effective.

Hey,.

If you are using an external monitor and it s very well, it seems that the card driver and graphic display working properly and doesn t cause this problem.

I think the problem is related to the internal LCD display or the cable of the LCD screen.

In my opinion, you should contact a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can check your laptop with professional diagnostic tools to identify the problem. In addition, they can repair and order original spare parts Toshiba.

  • Satellite 2450-101internal screen problem

I have a problem with the screen on my 2450. I contacted Toshiba technical who have said that it is the screen and not the inverter. Video output works very well so I suspect not the graphics card. Is someone can you please tell me if they have experienced this problem with a solution if possible. You can check the problem of screen here: http://domain802099.sites.fasthosts.com/Tosh/DSC00817.JPG

    Concerning

    Hello

Unfortunately, there are not many possibilities.
If the technician Toshiba says s ups not a FL and if the graphics card is not dead so I guess there is a problem with the display.
But there is a diagnostic test detailed necessary for the location of the defect.
I would recommend contacting the Toshiba service again. The technician must check the laptop.

    Hello

    What exactly do you mean?
You can see something on the internal or is completely black screen?

You should try an external monitor on the laptop. So you can determine if the problem is the screen-based internal or graphics card.

In addition if your laptop is still under warranty, you must contact an authorized assistance service provider. They can repair the laptop.

  • On the Satellite 1800-921 black screen problem

    Hello
My satellite 1800-921 has started to give me a black screen after I turn it on. It loads well, go to the desktop and then the screen turns white and I can't make it respond. We can just distinguish the dialogs on the screen so I don't know if it is a screen problem or things I see on the screen are just ghosts...
    It's a bit worrying!
Does anyone else have this problem? So far, it seems to happen when I turn it on. Usually, I have to turn it off and reboot to get it back and then it works very well.
    Thank you
    Nancy :)

    Hello

to the old series, it may be that the FL inverter is broken or damaged the tupe of backlight. In both cases, you can see the screen but without backlight!

To differi if it is a hard - or software error, you should start the laptop and ESC immediately to enter the BIOS. Then the machine must be running half an hour in the BIOS. When the rupture occurred it is quite sure that some hardware is broken. Otherwise, it is a software based and a restore with recovery CD Toshiba should solve the problem!

  • Satellite A200 - black screen of death

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A200 PSAFCA-01K00J model. This model, I bought Harvey Norman in Australia, but I can't find any registration on the web site of current Toshiba or abandoned. This sux because I am looking for any bios updates available to address a recent black screen problem.

The first time this has happened that I was able to reboot after removing the battery/cut the current to several times before its good. The next day, after an attempted works to install Kaspersky Anti-virus update the same problem... Power disconnected, removed, deleted drums (replacing the cylinder one and then the other to check the faulty ram memory cards) of ram and hard drive and then bled off residual tension with start button. Through this process several times before finally successful. I had to pass by it a few times since after restarts automatic windows updates, etc. I extracted the procedure to manually reset the bios by jumping it, but it's something I want to avoid doing this until I've exhausted all other options.

    Toshiba Satellite A200
    Model - PSAFCA-01K00J
    O/s - Vista
Hard Drive - 160GB with 50 GB of free space remaining.
System 32 with proccesors core duo. (intel)
    Bios Version/Date-phoenix Technology Ltd 5.20, 25/10/2007
    SMBIOS Version - 2.4

Any idea of sourcing on the last correct bios or any other input gratefully appreciate it... :)

    > Black Screen Of Death
What happen exactly when you start your laptop?

By the way: I ve checked the download from Toshiba on http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download page and can not find this old model of laptop. I don't understand that Toshiba to THE is some archives for old models like on the page of European support.

Anyway, I don't think that BIOS is the reason for this behavior.

    Hello

  • Satellite A55-S106 A:/ghost error when using recovery discs to reinstall the OS

I have a Toshiba Satellite A55-S1065 that I recently replaced the hard drive, and when I try to use the recovery disks it keeps failing at various points with the A:/ghost error, even if this machine is not a drive A

I really need help can anyone?

    Hello

Have you used a compatible HDD and supported?
A bit of problems of recovery happens sometimes due to hard drives not supported.

In any case, in my experience, new hard disks must be formatted too.
The Toshiba Recovery CD contains only an image file and I would recommend formatting the HARD drive, first with the help of another like WinXP or Linux bootable CD...

  • Satellite U300 - blue screen

My 10 days as old Satellite U300 - 14 d knows the blue screen problem frequently. I noticed that attaching a file from my office to my email exchange server to blue screen triggers.

The blue screen gives various complaints: once his RTL86.sys and then again, it's the Touch pad driver, but every mistake there is always the top message IRQL_Not_LESS_OR_EQUAL 'Something like that' what I can do.

Should I downgrade to XP or it's a hardware problem?
Help, please. I use it for work and it is a big liability it crashing all have the time this way.

Well, what to say. It of very strange that the different drivers and system files cause this error message.
To me, it looks like a software problem but I m not 100% sure. It s only my own personal suggestion

Thus, it would be very interesting to know if the same error running Win XP!
In this case we could know if it s a Vista issue or a hardware issue

  • Satellite A200 - 23Q - screen does not show anything

I am user and owner of a Satellite A200 - 23Q. The last few days, my laptop appears a certain problem. Its kinda does not. When I press the power button / stop, screens appears nothing, not even loading BIOS or something, even if the hard drive and power satellite (bottom left) turns on. Well, someone could say it is a screen problem, but this thing does not happen always, sometimes its working normally.

I'm waiting for a response as soon as possible. Thank you

P.S. This is my 1st post, so please see the patience and apologize for my weak English level

    Hi fotakis,.

Which is easy enough to say what, exactly, is the problem: just connect an external monitor. :)

If you see a photo on this subject, it seems to be only a problem of internal monitor. Maybe the FL inverter needs to be replaced
But I think that in both cases (also when the external monitor shows nothing) you need professional assistance from an authorized service provider.

The ASP can solve this problem!

  • Satellite A55-S1065 - after removing the battery, BIOS ask me password

So, something happened yesterday, and it seems to me that it is very strange.
I have a portable Satellite A55-S1065. And while I was with power point, the
computer crashes. In the midst of my confusion, I decided to delete
the battery just to make him stop.

So I did it and plugged it again
and I tried to turn on the computer. Now, the bios ask me a password,
but I've no idea what password it is that. Can someone help me solve this problem?
IM really desperate to find a solution to this since this computer contain
    many of my works.

    Thank you very much.

    > After removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
I know it may seem silly now, but I never heard of something like that. I use laptop for a long time and I had the experience with many others and strange question, but something like that, never.

Problem is that we are dealing here in the public forum and BIOS password is a very sensitive area and very important security feature, so we can not write here about some illegal ways how you can remove the BIOS password.

If there is no way to start your laptop, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
    I'm sorry. :(

  • When I start my Satellite A300 the screen remains black

When I turn on my Satellite A300, the screen remains black and doesn't change at all... Any help please?

What is password problem in your other thread? Already solved or what?
If the problem persists, I don't see any sense to start this thread because people don't understand what the problem is.

Please do not mix two questions and explain exactly what you see on the screen after turning on your laptop.

  • Satellite A210-19 screen goes black all of a sudden

    Hi all.

    I'm new to this forum.
I bought my new Satellite A210-19 has a week ago and I have read many things on computers laptops tohiba and saw that there are models with this problem: the SCREEN SUDDENLY GOES BLACK and all you can do is push the button restart.

This happened to me yesterday and I am worried about it.
Maybe I just pushed something or done something wrong because I don't want to believe this new laptop could have a problem with the screen.
Do you have experiences with this screen problem?

Y at - it a update of the Bios or fix or something? I read that I should put up a processor at 100% and power to TOP LEVEL management, but that may not be a fix!

    Hi Tomas

I ve read in some computer magazines on the bugs in Vista and this problem could be linked to the question of Vista
I recommend the Vista update to the last State. All fixes and patches must be installed on your laptop.

In addition, you should check if you can update the graphics driver and BIOS.
Everything you will find on the page of the Toshiba driver.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L15 the screen has a red/pink tint

When I turn on my toshiba Satellite L15 the screen has a red/pink tint and then 2 minutes later it is fine until the next time I turn on the computer it's screen it self or the inverter?

    Hello

Not easy to tell if it s screen or FL inverter question.
FL Inverter control the backlight of the screen and usually if the FL inverter start problems, then you can see photos on the screen as behind a thick fog.
Then maybe he problem s screen but that's just a guess.

However, FL inverter is not very expensive, but the laptop screen is one of the expensive laptop parts so I m not sure if it is s to replace the screen and pay 200-300 Euros for the fix
