Satellite L350 - upgrade memory 107

Please can someone help provide a certain insight or details on the options of upgrade memory for a Satellite L350 - 107 laptop

According to the Toshiba records, this unit can only be upgraded to a maximum of 2 GB of RAM - there are web sites that warn that this device can take a maximum of 4 GB of RAM... This unit can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM and if so, how do you? I installed 4 GB of RAM in the unit and the BIOS recognizes the RAM during POST. Windows starts to load and then crashes...

The unit is a Satellite L350 - 107, model number PSLD0E - 00500TF3

Thank you very much

Hello

In General, upgrading memory depends on the chipset that is placed on the motherboard.
The Satellite L350 107 has been provided with the Chipset Mobile Intel GL960 Express and this chipset manages max 2 GB RAM
This means that you can upgrade the RAM to 2 GB RAM max using PC2-5300 memory Modules.

Hope this info might help you.

  • Question about upgrading memory Satellite M55-S1001

can you please recommend what to do? I want to make my satellite m55-s1001 run faster please let me know, what do you recommend: 512 MB or 1 GB of memory? I'm not familiar with updates so please help!

    Hello

First of all, if you want to go for fastest laptop, you should start with simple things.
Try to defragment the disk, turn off the background process is not necessary, etc.
Upgrade memory will the powerful laptop and of course a lot more quickly.

To my knowledge the Satellite M55 should support the bars of memory 2 x 1024MB, and I also recommend the use of 1024MB instead of 512 MB module.

  • Satellite Pro 4600, memory upgrade

I have twice had problems trying to upgrade memory to my Satellite Pro 4600, so I decided to ask directly if Kingston KTC-SO133/256 MB is compatible with this machine?

It's the SODIMM I'm about to try next, but I have to pay for it first.

Problems were that the SODIMM modules is not compatible with the wonderful piece of memory or it won't work at all with Toshiba.

Is there an availave list what type of bars of memory are compatible?

Sorry, I can tell you that I use the Original from Toshiba 'PA3069U - 1 M 25' memory (its a KIT of MEMORY of 256 MB)

    works great!

  • Satellite L350-171 - where to get the DVD to upgrade Toshiba (Vista to W7)

    Hello world

I have a Satellite L350-171 and got a W7 DVD update "awhile." I get only round to install now and the first thing I see in the instructions, it's that I should have a upgrade DVD Toshiba, which I did :-(

Anyone know where I can get one, or if I need any? If not then can I just upgrade and hope that all drivers updated automatically? Sounds a bit risky

I hope this is the right place to ask.
If it isn't then point me in the right direction and I'll ask here rather :-)

Thanks in advance for any help

    Damian

A few years ago, Toshiba offered this upgrade program.
It's over and you can't upgrade drive more.

What you can do is be upgraded using the original disc of Microsoft, but I think you should do clean install Win7. Your model of laptop is supported for Win7 and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba support page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Before starting with the upgrade Win7 create original Vista recovery DVDs.
If you need assistance with installing Win7 or if you have other questions, you are welcome.

  • Satellite M40-276 - memory not detected in the Bios upgrade

    Hi people!

    New kid on the block!

I have a client with a toshiba Satellite m40-276. I've updated his memory to give it a little more to play with...

Went into the bios to see if everything was OK but no projected additional memory. I removed the new and old memory and put in the new 1 GB module and restart the computer.
The bios has not yet changed the size of the old memory?

Went to windows and of course that the memory has been detected it normally?
I added the other memory module and went into the bios again, but no change it?

Windows, however, recognized that the two modules?

His computer is the same bios to factory and has never been updated.

My questions are... why the bios doesn't recognize the upgrade memory? It will help in upgrading the bios?

Enjoy all the suggestions I can get on this issue.

    Thank you

    bookie56

Generally, if you upgrade RAM using tested compatible modules, that should be recognized correctly.
We do not know what modules you use, and I guess that there is a compatibility issue.

RAM on Satellite M40 276 can scale up to 2 GB of RAM and compatible modules are:
    DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
    1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

    Hello together!

    For your information:

Upgrade memory today to 2 Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100 (1.9 GH, 256 MB DDR - RAM initially), both up to 1 GB, all fine and no problems.

Wanted to just end rumors "only 512 MB all together" or even less.

    DDR-266 (PC2100)
    DDR-SDRAM, SO-DIMM
    200 PINS
    2.5 CL

concerning the frequency of the RAM, building shape etc.

P.S.: Don't think that a debate is necessary, thread could be closed...

According to the specifications of the computer laptop Satellite Pro has two memory slots and can be upgraded up to 1 GB. It is very useful to have confirmation on the RAM upgrade for this model of laptop old but still good.

I have the Satellite m70-159 with 512 RAM and you want to upgrade memory.
Is ddr2 sdram so-dimm PC5300, 667 Mhz kingston 1 G memory compatible with my laptop?
I know that this memory will run as PC4200, but I don't know where to buy PC4200.
    Thank you.

The Satellite M70 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM.

The Kingston RAM must be compatible with your laptop because Kingston's high-quality RAM and many users here upgraded with modules from Kingston.
And as you say that the RAM will work as long as PC4200, it is not a problem.

  • Satellite L350-12N - RAM upgrade

Specifications for my Toshiba Satellite L350-12N said as below

    Standard system memory: 2 048 (1 024 + 1 024) MB
    maximum scalability: 2 048 MB
    technology: DDR2 RAM (667 MHz)

"Maximum extension" means that my hardware of the laptop can accommodate a maximum of 2 GB? or a maximum of 4 GB?

I don't mind how 64-bit or Windows XP/Vista/7 support. My question is related to the physical ability of this laptop.

    Thank you
    Rudra

According to specification for laptop, your laptop can handle with up to 2 GB of RAM.
You cannot improve it up to 4 GB.

If you already have 2 GB inside it is already up.

  • Upgrade CPU on Satellite L350-14Y

    Hell,

I'm french so my enclise is approximate.
I have to computer laptop satellite L350-14Y
Intel cèleront 560. I would like to apgrade processor with a dual core (T2340). Is this possible?
Can wich processor I upgrade my laptop please?

    Thank you very much

In General, the CPU upgrade is not supported - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

Problem is that Toshiba offers no information on compatible processors that can be used on this laptop. Supported upgrade is RAM and HARD drive.

This Satellite is old enough laptop model that can be used for everyday operations, so I see no reason to upgrade CPU. What do you need more performance?

In my opinion, you can increase the Ram to the maximum level and exchange the original HDD with SSD faster.
This will increase the performance of laptop computer s quickly and you can do it alone without any risk.

  • Upgrade memory of satellite L20-181

Could you please inform me about the type of memory has this laptop?
On the site it is said:
    Standard system memory: 256 MB

    DDR2?
A link with such a memory would be very useful.
Also, anyway to buy memory online?

    Hello

The news that you are quite right. Toshiba has tested this laptop with the memory modules to follow:
    DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)

As you can see it's memory module DDR2 and if you use the part (PA.) to the Google number, you will find many online offereor where you can order this tested memory. I recommend buying the original or perhaps module of Kingston. On this way, you will be sure that the new module will be recognized correctly.

    Good luck!
