  Normally the ACPI means Advanced Configuration and Power Interface and control options for energy savings.
  So if something is wrong with the ACPI.sys file I recommend reinstall Windows using Toshiba recovery disc.
  By the way: are you running pre-installed Windows version or another?

  I have a problem with flash player,
  I uninstalled f/p, then the latest version 11, but always trying to use youtube it tells me that I have to upgrade.
  I did most of the suggestions on different forums IE: I made that IE was set to 32 bits, in fact I tried both 32/64, uninstall each time, without success.

  I'm trying to fix a Satellite L450-181 for a friend.

  I had to replace the hard drive because a friend has tried to load Yahoo messenger and when restarting the laptop screen to tell a file is missing or corrupt, but we were able to have access to the keyboard except the mouse and touchpad.

  I replaced the hard drive and reloaded windows 7 64 bits on a disc of Microsoft that we were unable to find the Toshiba restore disk. Everything works fine after downloading all the drivers of Toshiba except the keyboard. The keyboard appears in the device as Manager works well without conflicts, but I can't not all functions of the keyboard at all.

  I suspect my friend has locked the keyboard in a certain way or there is a setting that I need to activate, but I am at a loss for what to try next as I rebooted the utility of flash, the utility of PPV card, tried the Fn / Fn/F10 and F11 combinations without success.

  I'm not quite sure that what is happening with the webcam, but more often the webcam can be started using the software of the webcam installed m.

  In msconfig-> Startup tab, you can disable the webcam software to prevent automatic loading, while the laptop starts the software.

  Then you could start again the software and the webcam.
  You will see the little icon in the taskbar (lower right corner).
  Click on-> see the toolbar
  Then a webcam toolbar should appear where you could choose webcam only option.

  By the way: I give you a tip: I use Foxit PDF Reader. This tool is small, freeware and in my opinion much faster than Adobe Reader. I love it and now I have that Foxit PDF Reader installed and no problems at all.

  I'm looking at a Toshiba Satellite L450 - 18 d. It was purchased for more than 12 months ago is longer under warranty.

  When switching on the laptop, it under tension and makes the usual sounds (fan, hard drive, cd etc player) but nothing is displayed on the screen. Not even the bios screen.

  I can't say with certainty what can be the problem. It can be the display, it can be CPU I put t know. Without exact test, you will not find what is the problem.
  Best option is to contact Toshiba and ask for help. They can check the latter using diagnostic tools.

  What else can you do about it?
  Can you disassemble the laptop only and check all this?
