Satellite L450D-113 turns off in medium-duty

Please, please, please help me if you can! :(

I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D-113, which is aged 18 months abour. I had no problem with it at all, but today, he died suddenly without warning. It had full battery charge so I knew that it had nothing to do with the battery in it left.

I turned it back on and a screen saying a necessary to perform disk check, so I left it, and it starts automatically. The message on the screen was at this stage:

Checking file system on C:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency, you can cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.

I don't know if this bit is any help you: S

If the disk check has started, and the computer turns off before she can accomplish. I tried this about 6 times now. A few times when I turn the computer back on, it will turn off in 5 seconds.

He gave me the ability to start Windows normally, so I tried. Open windows then as usual, but the laptop turns off quickly in a few minutes.

I tried to go out and put the battery back in, but it made no difference.

If someone knows something about it so please answer, because I have no idea about computers :|

Thank you guys

Miss Godolphin

Hello

The laptop turns off automatically because the temperature is too high.
The portable computer's temperature sensor stops the laptop to prevent material damage.
I think you should clean the vents using a jet of compressed air.
This allows you to get better air circulation and decrease the temperature.

  • Satellite L450d-113 does not turn on

    Hello

I wonder if someone can help me.

All turns on my Toshiba Satellite L450d-113.
I tried to take out the battery and hold the power button / stop for a while but nothing seem to work.

I have some very important things about this University and I really need help.
When I plug in the charger the power light blinks for a while then nothing.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thank you...

First of all, of all the good news:
Your University stuff on the HARD drive does not seem to be affected because I think that HARD drive is not a malfunction. So you can remove the laptop HARD drive form and could connect to another computer using an external USB 2.5 HDD caddy.
In this case, you will have access to personal data.

Now back to the problem laptop.
It looks like a malfunction of the physical environment and I guess parts like motherboard, CPU modules or RAM can prevent the unit of power.

RAM modules can be replaced very easily, but I put t know if the RAM is really the troublemaker.
Maybe you can visit some of downtown specialist for laptop to check the modules.

  • Satellite L450D-113 - new cooling solution

    Hello

I have a Satellite L450D-113 and I was wondering if someone could recommend a cooling solution. I am currently using a cooling pad, but it is no longer enough. I was wondering if there was a way to change the internal fan to something more powerful. This becomes a more common problem and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Harry

    Hey,.

Why you want an another cooling solution? The internal cooling module and fan are sufficient and designed to cool the CPU and other components well. I don't see a reason for another module or external cooling of cooling module.

Probably dust blocks fan cooling for the moment if you noticed a higher temperature. So try to clean using a jet of compressed air to blow off the dust.

  • Satellite 2430-S255 turns off during playback of video clips

My laptop Toshiba Satellite 2430-s255 turns off 5 minutes every time I play streaming video clips to web sites using Windows Media Player version 10.0. I have uninstall the version 10 and used version 9, but there is no difference. Computer has 512 meg of memory and 10 GB of additional space on the hard drive.

There is no problem when I play DVD using the same software.

Toshiba support has been telling me that cpu is working hard and it heats up because of this problem. I used the fan to circulate the air, but the computer still shuts off.

    Can help.

    Christiane

    HI Fanny,.

Any graphic activity will tend to make your laptop run more hot and therefore sufficient cooling.

Make sure that your airway through the CPU radiator is not clogged with dust and debris (a lot of discussions in this forum about this) and also ensure that there is sufficient air under your laptop knife get in the fan air vents.

  • Satellite A60-122 turns off immediately

Hi there, my 2.5 year satellite SA60-122 turns off no aparent reason.
Sometimes after 10 minutes and sometimes after 3 hours.

    Why o why?

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Thnx a lot.

    Hello

you are somewhat familiar with computers? If not, I suggest you bring your machine to a local service partner (http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?subs=tais)
If Yes, then firstly make a few hardwaretests. You can make them with tools like "Memtest86" for memory or "Prime95" for CPU and RAM.
This software is on a windows live cd for computer-maintenance as the UBCD4Win (Ultimate Boot CD for Windows) which contains a lot of useful tools and diagnostic programs.
    Here´s a link:
    www.UBCD4Win.com

    Other means can be:
Clean the CPU fan, try to remove the RAM (maybe), maybe the power adapter is defective or maybe the battery.
It s a little more difficult to find these things, but often it s really good to use this live-cd-system and check the system.

So, try it (or not :)) and give some information about what happened, maybe to give more detailed information about the behavior of the machine.)

  • My Satellite L555-L11 turns off suddenly very

    Hello
My satellite L555 L11 turns off very suddenly. It seems that it s because of the heat, as when it arrives, I put my hand under the laptop and feel a too high temperature.
    my laptop is 5 years
    What should I do?
    thx for you answer

I think your laptop is quite full of dust and I can imagine that cooling rack is blocked so that your laptop is unable to catch his breath.

Believe me, that cleaning can help. Best thing you can do is professional cleaning. In this case the laptop must be disassembled. Otherwise, you can buy compressed air and try to clean it.

  • Satellite L450D-113 BBC iPlayer fall frame

I got my satellite L450D-113 since Christmas. Recently, I tried to play a video uploaded via the BBC iPlayer software.

When displaying in full-screen, the image jerks as if it will ignore frames. I also asked a lot of machine to play at full speed in full screen.

I am running Win7 32 bit with 3 GB of RAM. Screen set at 1366 x 768 32 bit resolution. I have trouble believing that this machine cannot manage the foregoing. Worse yet, try to play a HD video.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

To be honest I n don't know what you're talking about and that the BBC iPlayer is unclear to me. In my opinion, you should try another, like Windows Media Player or VLC media player.
Also, make sure that you use the "High Performance" power profile if you watch videos!

In addition, you can use a resolution higher internal screen, but only on an external monitor. The native screen resolution of an internal, you already use! ;)

  • Is satellite L450D-113 - possible to upgrade processor?

    Hello

I recently bought the Satellite L450D-113 and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the processor.
The vehicle currently has the AMD Sempron and its unique core, so how could I go all upgrade to dual core. Also how much is it going to cost and can I do it myself?

Can someone help me and tell what I need to do to upgrade, or where I can buy a dual core CPU compatible?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think this Toshiba FAQ might help you.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

You'll find the info that the upgrade is not easy and maybe it s undesirable.
You can remove the CPU but there is no guarantee that the CPU will be compatible with the BIOS.

    See you soon

  • Satellite L450D-113 - upgrading the processor

    Hello
I have a Satellite L450D-113 and looking to upgrade the processor to something more powerful, someone has suggestions.
    Harry

    Hey Buddy,

Unfortunately, these CPU updates is not supported. The single CPU that has been pretested and is supported is preinstalled. So there is no list of processors supported and to check this article:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ35006D000RR01.htm

By the way: If improve you it further, you lose the warranty and everything happens on your own risk.

  • Satellite Pro L650 turns off after start; DC In and Power LEDs blink on stop

A friend Satellite Pro L650 having worked well until yesterday, all of a sudden turned itself off. Now, at startup, it lights up normally for about 10-15 seconds before turning off suddenly. Turned off, the DC in white/blue LED and the orange Power LED Flash on a broad set of intervals of approximately one second. This extinction happens if I leave Windows or press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

I guess this blinking is intended to serve as a kind of diagnostic code, but I have yet to track down what it means. Can anyone help?

To avoid confusion, power without the product stack the same, sudden stop experience, except the two LEDs remain solidly lit this time. With or without battery, trying to turn on again immediately after that a shutdown produced no response at all. Remove the power cable and immediately it reconnect again and turn then produced a brutal power off, but in less than 5 seconds. More wait between attempts to market seems to give a little longer powered on State, but without fault, the machine turns off just suddenly. With its short time 'turned on' we are talking, there cannot be any kind of thermal protection?

I had an old Satellite L450D lying around that uses coincidentally the same AC PA-1750 adapter, but use it made no difference. Of course, the battery does not have the L650!

The only previous numbers, that I am aware of this machine have been intermittent case of Windows reporting "Plugged in, not charging", but as my friend use it exclusively on the network, it was not a problem.

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

    WTF?

    What is an unmoderated forum?

Can someone help with my problem?

  • Satellite M200 screen turns off after that start & battery does not charge

Hello, I am from Jakarta, Indonesia
I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite M200 Notebook (running Windows 7 Home Premium)

After I press the power button to the top of my laptop, it works fine display BIOS and Windows startup screen.
but after that my monitor off all of a sudden when Windows is supposed to show the login screen.

    Sometimes, the monitor doesn't turn off, but shows a lower resolution (I don't know exactly what resolution, 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600, i use maybe 1280 x 800)
so the only thing I can do is, press the power button to stop bad then press power again turns on, my monitor works normally
try to stop and then turn on again in a few hours later, problems still comes once.

from the moment where I install Windows 7, I use 8.15.10.1930 version of the driver (downloaded from Download Center of Intel, which included Assistant TV Intel)
2 days ago, my friend told me that I should install the driver from the Toshiba site support, so I went to csd.toshiba.com and download the 8.15.10.1825 version of this site (which is not included Assistant TV Intel)

my monitor works normally after I installed the driver I of csd.toshiba.com, so I think that the problem because the Intel TV Wizard somehow messed with my laptop. But this morning this problem once again, my turns just monitor suddenly...

In addition, this problem seems to be my battery was unable to recharge, my completely reloaded Windows shows, but when I plugged my AC adapter,
There are 15-20 minutes before my laptop turns off automatically

Three months ago, I just brought my laptop to the local Service Center of Toshiba and bought the new motherboard to replace my old mobo (which have a VGA problem too!)
Is there something I can do (related to Windows or driver/software) or I can bring my notebook at the center of service again?
are they somehow an incorrect wiring when replacing my motherboard?
and am I need to replace my battery too?

I use this laptop for about a year and a half and there is nothing wrong with my battery before replacing the motherboard

any help would be appreciated :D

    Hello

Talk about your screen, the a graphics driver causes this malfunction with resolution and turn off. Go to the page of the toshiba driver and download the correct Vga driver for your model. I see, you are running Windows 7, if there is no driver for win7, try the vista driver.
On your power supply, you have used for the year and a half and he is released in 20 minutes, there is nothing strange. It's standard for power supply operating period, need to be replaced. Just to be sure, you can check with a new battery. You will see that the trick works as expected.

  • Front logo satellite X 200 turned off!

Hi... my bright logo of edge before Satellite X 200 just turned off and I looked everywhere, but I have no idea how to do to reactivate. Pls can you help me... Thank you

    Hello

How old is the machine? And since when the logo light up?

I think something with your hardware is not OK because this logo lights up at any time, and if it doesn't then you should find the nearest [Authorized Service Partner | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT] and bring your machine.

They will solve your problem. :)

    Hello

You use original Toshiba AC/DC adapter or another?
What happens if you connect the AC/DC adapter, while the laptop is turned off?

It s really strange problem, but I think that is s TI associated with AC/DC adapter or the motherboard itself
