Satellite L50-B-13F - WIFI hotspot does not have a connection internet key USB

Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L50B 13 E and I use the USB (with sim card) for internet connection that works very well.
Now, I have a smartphone and I would like to turn my laptop into a wifi hotspot so I can use my smart phone in Wi-Fi to surf the internet, while I have the USB connected to the internet.

I have 10 windows and I followed all the directions for the creation of the hostednetwork with name, password but my smartphone can only connect to wifi without connecting to the internet. Whenever I try to open an internet it page downlods for a few seconds and stops.
I'm wandering if what I do is correct or even possible to do so. Is it possible to do? Should I use a larger antenna or need any additional driver?

Help, please!

Hello, I have a model Satellite L50 B 13th and for surfing the internet, I use the USB with sim card and it works fine.
Now, I bought a smartphone and I like my pc to become a hostednetwork wifi so I can connect my smartphone, while the USB is connected.
I created the wifi hostednetwork with name, password and I can actually connect the smartphone on the wireless network, but I can't surf the internet. Any help?
Should I use the updated drivers or add an external antenna?

Thank you!

  • Satellite L50-B-281 - WiFi Driver does not work

    Hello world

I have a problem that I can not find a solution

    I bought a L50-B-81, without BONES, because I have a free license of W7.

I used the Driver download for Toshiba to look for the drivers.

For my model (PSKTCE), I got two drivers for Broadcom and Aatheros one.

The Broadcom Installer did nothing so I guess, I don't have hardware Broadcom.
The only installed Atheros Bluetooth driver.

Is there an easy way to determine what hardware is inside?

Device Manager, where the works is not the devices are marked by this triangle warning sign, said he does not know the manufacturer.

    Thank you very much

  • Satellite L50 - after Win10 touchpad upgrade does not

Brand-new Satellite L50-C03E laptop pad touch does not work. Upgrade to Windows 10. Tried using all combinations of F5, FN & F5, don't hit to swipe and checking settings and nothing works.

I guess you can use external USB mouse.
Connect it to the laptop and uninstall the old touchpad software / driver for Windows 10 system. You should find it in Control Panel → programs and features.

After the the touchpad driver has been removed, restart the laptop and win 10 updates.

It would be very interesting to know if this solution allows you to get the touchpad working again.

  • Satellite L50-A-18 t - DTS does not not in Windows 10

It has been nearly a month after the release of Windows 10 and still does not have the DTS audio software. I've updated everything and I can open the Menu of the DTS. But nothing works, it doesn't do anything for her.

I paid € 700 for this and I want good sound quality without having to rely on programs that hide the poor quality of the computer speakers. This is how you treat your customers? With poor quality speakers and some stupid audio software? Even on my very old Toshiba Satellite 2009 I got better than on this one LOL

That's all just horrible to use my computer. The only way to have really bad sound quality is with a helmet. But, as you would undestand, I can't have my helmet on all day. It is not comfortable.

It has been nearly a month after the release of Windows 10 and still does not have the DTS audio software.

You may need to reinstall the sound driver once more.
I recommend you to remove / uninstall the current driver from Device Manager.
Former driver should be completely removed from the system Windows 10.

After restarting again, download the latest DTS driver from this page and install it.

Additional laptop restarting can help make the drive works fine.

  • Satellite L50-B-166: Webcam + microphone does not work under Linux

    Hello

    I'm under Linux Slackware 14.1 with kernel 4.11 on a Satellite L50-B-166.

Webcam and microphone are not detected by the system, and I can't find the firmware and the module for them.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

I get the Webcam work properly in Fedora 22 core 4.0.6 (Incidentally, kernel 4.11 does not yet exist, so what kernel do you use )
I suggest therefore that you check the software for the Webcam settings is not simply disabled:

    F2 at the STATION
Go to advanced > system configuration
Make sure the Webcam is turned on.

  • Satellite L50-B916 - recording external Microphone does not work

    Hello

Connect an external microphone to * Headphone\Microphone combo socket *, still records through portable microphone instead of externally. Registration of external Microphone does not work.

    What Miss me? Please notify.

    Model: L50-B916
    Screenshot: http://s12.postimg.org/j8h3v5k4d/laptop.jpg

I can't say with certainty what may be wrong here, but two things confuse me:
-somehow your external MIC is obviously not detected because in the case when the external microphone is connected laptop switches automatically to it
-I don't understand why there are two identical entries under recording devices.

When I connect my headphone it is always a single entry (Conexant SmartAudio HD default unit), but my machine automatically goes to the external microphone only.

Have you tested the feature with some applications like Skype?

  • Satellite L50 - Has: Toshiba HDD recovery does not

I want to drive HARD for Windows 10 recovery, I put all my files on other partitions, I was hoping to see & do "recover without changing the hard drive partitions", but when I turned on my PC and now at 0, it did not open any software TOSHIBA recovery...

I do not have the boot on this screen settings button... And image recovery system application that I use the windows installation DVD...

BTW I have the partition recovery on this computer:

As I see you did a typical mistake as many other people.
When you get the new notebook with the original version of the OS and before starting to do some experiments you do backup recovery image and create media recovery (DVD or USB).

If a problem occurs, you can use this support and install original recovery image. You say that your laptop is now in ruins. Yes, you're probably right about that. After the original upgrade win recovery options will be overwritten and disk HARD recovery option is not possible.

Your only mistake was that you did not backup recovery image.
Now, all you can do is contact Toshiba and order original recovery media. You can do so under the https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • iTunes crashes if its wifi network does not have access to the internet

    Hi all.

I'm running a 13 "mac book pro with OS X El Capitan.

I have a very specific problem of iTunes which is really bugging me.  I'm a pro saxophone player and part of my job is performed as a soloist with playbacks on my mac.  To avoid having to walk to the mac to start the track to accompany each song, I use a tablet on a stand that I can place anywhere in the room.  I've set up a router next to the mac that the mac and the tablet of connect to, and I run "retune" on the Tablet (I think it's that his name) which is a wifi iTunes remotely.  Installation is really smart cos he allows me to choose new avenues of selection from anywhere in the room instead of walking back and forwards to the mac every time.

The problem I have is that sometimes maybe (1 to 5 times), I have a real problem from iTunes when the mac is connected to a wifi network that has no real internet connection.  I'm sure that iTunes detects wifi connection and then tries to access the internet to connect with the store.  When he is not in the store it just crashes and I get the spinning wheel of death.  Most of the time, I can simply restart the program several times and finally he decided to play ball, but it's a real pain.  And I did a concert yesterday where he would not have enough, no matter what I did.  If I had no choice but to turn off the router and keep walking to the mac for each song.

I can't find a setting anywhere on iTunes that can disable the connection to the store and I really am stuck.

I also tried alternative programs (I used Clementine briefly but I just found it too flakey to be invoked) and so I am open to others suggests.  But I need a player who has a remote app that I can use on my tablet.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I use an older version of iTunes and in the preferences a lot, I can disable Store, Radio, sharing services, probably genius if I got it. Check all your preferences settings including those you think don't matter such as parental preferences (this is where the store is hidden on mine).  Realize also that iTunes has turned into a simple multimedia player to a 75% of sales and marketing as well as the do-it-all tool (aka bloatware) try too many at once and developers can't even imagine someone (i.e. the daily target user) use it without Internet.  Add on that you try to use an application to control iTunes and something like that is likely to misbehave, willy nilly whenever Apple launches an update.

Don't forget with wi - fi you are subject to interfering signals other wi - fi services in the region or the stage equipment.

  • Bootcamp does not have enough space on the USB drive.

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to install Windows 7 on my Macbook pro mid-2012 running on El Capitan.
I want to do with a USB key, I bought a 16 GB nine one. Try to create the USB bootable with Bootcamp, I get the error that the USB device is too small. I don't know why that it is 16 GB.

Then I tried to format using disk utility, but I get an error.

I tried to use the command line to do with diskutil, always get an error: impossible to disassemble the drive.

Using diskutil I can see the USB key:

    #: NAME SIZE TYPE IDENTIFIER

    0: GUID_partition_scheme * GB 15.5 disk1

    1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk1s1

    2: Apple_HFS Untitled 15.2 GB disk1s2

I tried to erase the part EFI using gdisk, everything is ok in gdisk, I can just erase and write to the disk. But the problem is that when I unplug and re-plug the USB nothing has changed...

Try to use under Windows (via VirtualBox) I see only a 200 Mb USB Drive.

I don't really understand everything first:

-Why bootcamp with the new USB has not been able to make a USB bootable for windows.
    Second:

-Why can't I erase this USB key.

Thanks for reading. I hope you can help me or tell me at least!

You must delete and format the USB stick in the form of FAT. What is a USB2 flash drive? A GPT with a FAT partition will not work.

Please see Re: Please format the USB key as a single partition FAT.? on how to do to erase/format the USB.

  • Satellite 1905-S301: internal WiFi card does not

I have a Satellite 1905-S301 laptop. I just bought a new Intel Pro/Wireless Mini PCI WiFi card because I discovered that my laptop is WiFi active (I have had it for two years and did not know this).
I installed the card, attached to the antenna to it and installed the software. The computer recognises the card, but he won't find not all networks that are out there and it gives me the error that I need to turn on the hardware for the WiFi switch, even when it is turned on.

    Anyone have any ideas?
    DJ

    Hello

On the right side of the laptop, you should find a WLan hardware switch.
It must be on the use of the Wlan card.
Also, try to use the FN + F8 key combination to activate the Wlan antenna.

  • Satellite A200-1VP - new WiFi card does not work

    Hi all

I just bought an intel 4965agn wireless card to replace the original card intel 3945abg. I bought the card on ebay, it's a computer dell laptop.

I installed it (connecting the black wire on pin 2 and the white wire to Terminal 3). The device appears in the device manage correctly without any problem. I installed the latest driver from intel for this card.

the problem is that no wireless connection cannot be captured. the utility intel built in diagnosis, the card seems to fail the test of material. The section troubleshooting said to check the Device Manager and install the appropriate drivers. I've done it before, so I'm not sure of the problem.

    any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hi ansarali,

Why you traded a new WLAN draft N card if you can t use it? I want to say that your laptop was only equipped Intel abg card and for standard project you also need 3 antennas and as much as I know Satellite A200 are not equipped with 3 antennas

In addition, the antenna cables must be connected correctly. This means that you must connect the white cable to the HAND and the black cable to the auxiliary voltage
    Check this box!

  • Satellite L50 - B - 24 c - touchpad does not work

    Hello

I apologize for my bad English, however, a few months ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba (L50 - B - 24 c) and after a few weeks, the touchpad no longer works. I have before, I had connected a mouse for your comfort for some programs.

Now when I disconnect the mouse pointer disappears from the screen.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello

I guess that your laptop supports ELAN touchpad driver.
I read in another thread that in the past, an update of the ELAN touchpad driver has caused a few problems and the touchpad is not working properly...

That's why I recommend you to uninstall the driver for the touchpad MOMENTUM of the system.
After that, restart the laptop and check if the touchpad would work again...

In case the touch pad work, download the driver of the ELAN touchpad from the page of the Toshiba driver and install again.
