Satellite L50 - B - I'm not able to establish a wireless connection

Hello

No reason, I'm not able to use my wifi connection more.
I was at home and my wifi worked, but when I went to an another location al of a sudden switch to activate the wifi (8.1 to Windows, not on my laptop, there is no switch on the laptop itself) would not work. When I put a cable internet in my laptop, I have a connection. It's just the wireless that does not work.

I have tried just about everything I could think of:
-Installed the new driver on the Toshiba site
-New Instalend pilot on the Intell website
-Remove programs of network connection, rebooted the computer, so it would automatically find the right driver.

Not it worked. I'm not keen to restart my computer because it does more harm than good. Does anyone have suggestions on what to do next?

It is not the first time, the functions are without any clear reason disabled. First it was my USB-portals. After two months, I got it working again. But now, it's the wireless internet. Its drving me crazy, because I have the laptop for 4 months now.

Advice, anyone?

(Toshiba Satellite L50-B-188, wireless Internet by: Intel Corporation;) Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160, version 17.13.11.5)

Hello Rosie

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. The first WLAN card must be properly installed and listed in Device Manager. Can you please confirm this?

Second, the wireless network card must be properly activated. Flight mode must be OFF and wireless ON.
Please check in the PC settings > network > connections and flight mode.

When you check this and WLAN ENABLED scan please area. Your network is visible for your laptop?

  • Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1DJ does not supply power to the top after removing the HARD drive

    Hello world!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1DJ. It has a 750 GB HARD drive, but it wasn't enough for me. So I bought a Toshiba 1 TB HARD drive. I have undone all the screws, carefully (using my driver's license), lifted up the plastic and removed a HARD disk.

BTW, I really like this plastic solution on the HARD drive!

Then I realized, that all my stuff is still on it.
So I put the HARD drive, I'm going to copy everything on my drive hard Ext. planning.
Well I screwed it back, got the battery, put the back of the AC adapter.

Battery charge light was on, indicating that the current flows. I pressed the 'Start' button, and nothing happened. He broke yet still nothing. I plugged the battery and the AC output adapter, I held the Power button for 30 seconds, put everything back still nothing. I got scared. Opened back once more, just to take a look at, so anything that slipped on. Nope.

Everything is a okay. What should do? I have the warranty? I hope not.
Can I fix myself without void my warranty? I hope so!

And also: I bought the laptop in Hungary, but I'm in Germany. Can I fix here in case my warranty is valid?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Sincerely,
    Bertold Juhasz

  • Satellite L50-A-160 does not start after the Bios Update

Hi, first of all, this is first post.

    I have 2 satellite L50-A-160 with bios 1.1

Problem: seems to go to sleep after a few minutes, even working on them (even with both)

So, I found an updated version 1.9, downloaded and running on one of the laptops. the biosupdate tool found matching the BIOS and a race.
In the middle of flashing, he fell asleep. turned on and not start. What can I do? Recovery options? I guess the same thing will happen with the other too...

What is the problem with these computers?

Besides; very poor battery, always shows 0% available and not charging...
    Does anyone have a solution?

    Best regards
    -always in the hope.
    GT

Have you tried to change in Power Options?

See screenshot and try to change the ones I marked (it can refresh the settings, just change the values) and see if this solves the problem.

and for the other laptop with no boot, a laptop sleep by updating the bios will surely mess it.

what I don't understand is why your sleep laptop BIOS update, as far as I know the sleep settings is active then on windows (since this is controlled by windows)
He does not sleep while in the BIOS you leave 1 year, sleep settings active only after loading windows.

have you tried to check the time of processor for your laptop? Maybe its overheating causing auto-off

    Hello

I think you have an Atheros WLan card.

Well, especially the latest Wlan driver should solve the problems
This is why I recommend updated WLan driver to the latest version.

Here you can find the drivers:

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. who is the provider of Internet (ISP) Service?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: How to fix wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/870702

Method 2: To create a wireless network, you can follow these steps.

    a. click Start, click run, type ncpa.cpland click OK.

    b. in the window network connections, right click on the wireless network connection icon and then click Properties.

    c. in the wireless network connection properties, click the wireless networks tab. If you do not see a wireless networks tab, your network card can not take over the automatic Wireless Configuration service.

    d. under preferred networks, click the Add button.

    e. in the network name (SSID) box, type the name of the access point, and select the parameters according to your network requirements. f. click OK

    g. under available networks, click View wireless networks.

I have improved my all-in-one software on my HP laptop, but when he asked how to set up the connection, there is no option for a wireless connection. There were 2 options: usb cable and ethernet cable. I chose the ethernet cable, but it does not work. Prior to this level and even now, I can print to the wireless laptop, but I can't scan.

    My configuration is:

OK, be sure to restart and do a Windows update after you HAVE uninstalled the HP software.  Then install from the link 'Support & drivers' at the top of this page.

  • Satellite L50 - B 241 - headset not recognized

    Hello, I just got a new laptop at work, (it's a L50 - B Satellite 241. it uses Windows 10, although I suspect it was sold with Windows 8.1 when I put in my headphones, the sound does not pass by the helmet. when I check the sound settings (right-click the volume) I see only the speakers as a choice no helmet). I checked the device manager and I see only Conextant Smart Audio HD, which I believe is for the speakers, no mention of the headset;
So it appears the driver for headset are not installed? any ideas how to fix this please? in the office they gave me a USB headset but I would use a normal 3.5 jack

    Thank you!

Hello world, anyone have any ideas on that? Thanks in advance

  • Satellite L50-A013 - touchpad does not work

    Hi all

I've had my L50-A013 Satellite for about 7 months now.

In the last month or so I started to have problems with the touchpad, freezing and does not not my contact.
This lasted a few minutes at a time, then came the back of its own accord, almost like a very long latency period.
This morning, however, I turned on my laptop and the touchpad does not work.

Device Manager does not display a mouse or pointing device at all until I attach a mouse USB.
By pressing the key that normally activates / deactivates the touchpad does not work - nothing changes and the light does not turn on in both positions.

I tried reinstalling the drivers without result, and windows is no update that might help (or any recently that might have caused the problem).

If anyone has any other ideas for what I can try, it would be amazing.
The laptop is under warranty so I can hopefully get it fixed, but if possible I would really do not have to go without a computer until it's settled.

Thank you all for your time,
    -Sase

    Hi Sase

It is not easy to say what the problem is, but I can imagine that there is hardware problem. Perhaps touchpad loses the connection to the motherboard. I mean if this piece of hardware is not detected I can imagine this scenario.

Of course best test you can do now is to reinstall OS and test functionality with the factory settings, but will delete your actual configuration of OS and software pre-installed.

If this kind of test is possible do. If not, I think you must contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They have special diagnostic tools and they can check it for you.

  • Satellite L50 - B suddenly does not recognize USB devices

Suddenly my laptop does not recognize any USB.

The USB key or external hard drive works on other computers, but not on my laptop.
    Only cards SD-are recognized.

I tried to remove the usb portals on the Control Panel, but after I restarted my computer all returned.
One reappear with a caveat that it does not work, but when I search a new program to run it, it can not be found. After removing it, it comes back with the same caveat.

I also tried to download the new discs (chip set utility) but who doesn't either.
I don't know what else to do.

Can someone help me if I can access my USB-products once again on my laptop?

    Hello

What about the USB mouse? You can use the USB mouse connected to one of the USB ports?

Have you changed the system or you have installed new OS on this laptop?
    I m asking because the L50 - B Satellite supports USB 2.0 as well USB 3.0 ports

In the case where you have installed the new OS (Win 7?) on this laptop, the USB 3.0 ports would require additional USB 3.0 driver

However, in case that you are always using the OS preinstalled Toshiba, I recommend you to reset the initial setup and test the USB ports once more.

  • Satellite C55 - C PSKWSV - not able to install Realtek Wireless LAN Driver

    Hello

Whenever I try to install the Driver Realtek Wireless LAN 2023.17.731.2015 using Toshiba Service Station, extraction ends and permissions invites pop up, I click Yes but nothing happens. No other window does not appear, the driver does not disappear in the list of the software updates in a gas station. It's just as if nothing is happening.

No idea why this is happening?

    I use a Toshiba Satellite C55 - C PSKWSV with an OS 64-bit of Windows 10.

Hi my C50 - B Satellite did the same thing.

  • Satellite A100-761: I am not able to use the Bluetooth

I have bluetooth in my mobile device, however, I am unable to access or use it. My system shows no file or folder to access this device.

    Can someone help me?

    Hey, Pankaj

Are you sure that this laptop uses BT module at 100%?
Is the laptop has a BT tag at the bottom of the unit?

In my opinion the BT module is not installed on the laptop you.
Some online store sites say that the Bluetooth device is not available. Then I recommend you check the bottom of the camera for a label of BT and more to take a look in the Device Manager if the BT device has been recognized.

  • My Satellite L50-B-1DZ does not start

I had my computer toshiba laptop for about 8 and a half months and has worked flawlessly with the only problem being that I couldn't connect to the store windows for a month. (It is now resolved). I went to turn on my computer and it was working fine until suddenly the screen turned white and he died immediately.

To my knowledge, I had more than half the life of the battery on the left, but I tried to load it is in any case, as I suspected that it was maybe dead. When I hold the Start button, it will do nothing, but flash a few times until stop. I don't think it is heated while I was only on it for 5 minutes. I have not damaged it in any way for example. Spill drinks top etc. I am very confused.

    Help, please!

What happen exactly when you press the power button / stop?
You don't see anything on the screen?
