Satellite L505-10N - strong cooling modules while gaming

Hello

5 days ago, I bought a Toshiba Satellite mainly to play world of Warcraft and do some normal tasks.
The seller told me that this computer has been authorized to install the game on and it would be more correct to support.

As he says, playing on my new Satellite is a real pleasure, the game didn't lag at all and the graphics are beautiful... but the big problem is the breakdown that works loudly... all the time... and the computer heats very quickly...

Then I brought my computer to the seller who says that noise is normal and could not do anything about it.

I'm worried about this, this breakdown works abnormally, I never heard such a big noise on my other laptops, and it makes me think that this computer won't last long...

Is there a solution for this problem? Maybe I can change the ventilation for an another silenter? For sure, the seller will not help me...

Thanks a lot for your answers

Hello

May I ask how you plan a game?
The laptop should be just like using a desktop application or like surfing the internet?

List man than the parts of s to laptop as CPU or GPU run with a yield maximum everything at stake. This means that the heat dissipation is very high.
This means that the cooling modules must run at max and also temperatures would rise to a higher level.

Have you noticed how strong desktop PC cooling modules are?
The noise of the laptop is nothing compared to the desktop PC!

Dear friends, good computer Toshiba Satellite L505 - 10 X Day.My laptop cooling fan does not work. The CPU temperature is not displayed in the application of PC health Monitor. Kindly guide me to solve this problem, cordially, Siva

Simply because the temperature is not mentioned in the Toshiba Health Monitor, it doesn't mean, that the cooling fan is not working properly.

You can hear fan running cooling?
The laptop is turned off unexpectedly?

In my opinion if the cooling fan would not properly work, internal temperature should rise very quickly at a critical level... in this case that the laptop must close automatically...

But if the device does not turn off and if you are still able to use it properly, so I doubt that there is a problem with the cooling module.

  • Portege R500 stronger cooling module

I have a Portege R500 and Notepad air fan is stronger.
I tried several cooling profiles (battery optimized Performance, battery, optimized cooling performance) and with all profiles is the fan of the air harder. :(

    Hello

I think that there is anything wrong with your laptop or cooling modules.
The cooling module could be little bit stronger due to the fast rotation of fan.

But the fan must turn more quickly to ensure a good and cooling properly.
This is necessary and essential to ensure that your internal parts like CPU and GPU overheats not!

PS: Have you checked settings dynamic CPU frequency mode in Toshiba HWSetup?
Please check if the frequency was set to dynamically switchable.

I know that you have changed the settings of day before but let repeat me once again.
    Saving PCI-> enable
    Method of controlling CPU-> auto
Processing speed of the CPU-> set it to a lower level (left)
Method of cooling-> lower level (left)

  • L50-B05C satellite crashing while gaming - black screen without warning

    Laptop Toshiba Satellite L50-B05C crashing
I write because there is no section of series B in the section.

The laptop is 2 months old and has just recently been crashing (blacken off instantly, screen) without warning when I play a game.
It had worked perfectly in these games until about a week ago.

Use CPU, memory and disk are all weak, so I have no idea of what is happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I write because there is no section of series B in the section.

Just FYI: it is an L series (L50- xxxx)

The laptop is 2 months old and has just recently been crashing (blacken off instantly, screen) without warning when I play a game.

Have you noticed a temperature higher while gaming?
I guess that the laptop automatically stops due to the higher internal temperature.
This is nothing unusual if the temperature is too high... the laptop would shut down to prevent the equipment from damage...

    Try this:
Go to advanced windows power options and reduce the max CPU performance at 90-95%
In addition to change the cooling method for: performance.

I would also recommend to check if fans and the vents are not clogged with dust...

I'm not sure where you live but in my country, the temperature is currently very high and I guess it's really hard to cool the internal parts and to maintain the temperature of the low laptop

  • What cooling modules are comaptible with Satellite P105-S9312

I need to change computer fan laptop P105 procesor.
Can you tell me what laptop Toshiba model have the same cooling fan as in P105?

    Hello

I know that the Satellite P100 is very similar to the P105, and therefore the same cooling module must be compatible.

But in general, you should always use the same modules of cooling! Then, contact the ASP in your country and ask for these spare parts.

    Good bye

Before you continue just a matter of discussion:
Let's say I help you with this and damage you something or broke a plastic part, what you will do in this case?
I mean you probably know that you can get a few small important parts as separate components.

By the way: this description may be provided in the manual. Disassembly of the laptop is authorized personal only. When you buy a new car it is no description how to disassemble the entire engine, right?

By the way: Jeanine's right. See this page. There are many useful tips on laptop disassembly procedure.

  • Satellite A200-1TW: noisy cooling because of dust module

    Hey,.

My fan getting stronger day, and I think it's because there is a lot of dust inside my fan.
I have my laptop for about a year now and live in an old house (= a lot of dust), so I was wondering: are at - it a tutorial somewhere on how to open it?

I can't find anything on this site and on google either.
The closest thing I found was this http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2006/02/04/toshiba-laptop-disassembly-manuals/, but unfortunately, it does have my phone: (.)

So I was wondering, does anyone have a tutorial on how to do this?
They or some experience with it? For the most part, I wonder if I have to take off too low, or the keyboard?

Oh and one last question: what is my warranty? If I open my laptop, I lose it?

    Hello

    > Oh and one last question: what is my warranty? If I open my laptop, I lose it?
This is the main reason why you should not disassemble your laptop!
First of all, you will lose the warranty second could damage other parts!

I ve you have another suggestion. Why you n t clean using a jet of compressed air fans?
There are sprays various compressed air designed specially for these procedures.
This will help you to remove the dust and debris of the cooling modules

I cleaned my fans several times using compressed air that helped a lot of time

  • Satellite P300-1FN - higher while gaming

    Hello

Is it normal for a laptop P300-1FN to reach temperatures of 80 c by playing games like Flight Simulator X.
The laptop runs generally between 40 - 60 ° C when using internet and check emails.

It is also noticed that as soon as FSX is paused, or closed the temperature begins to decrease quickly.

    Help, please.

    Hello

It s nothing unusual as the temperature increases while gaming.

Who is normal behavior because the graphics chip and processor run with performance high when running a game or other high-performance applications.
All parties produce more heat dissipation and this leads to a higher temperature

Therefore, it is very important that your laptop should be cooled properly.
I mean you should leave enough space around the laptop and it shouldn't clog the grates from cooling and fans!

You should also use the graphic driver Toshiba because this driver supports a GPU overheating protection.

    Cheers mate

  • Satellite A80-154 - cooling module very hard

    Hello

Since a few days, my A80-154 laptop cooling unit is very strong from time to time.
It is a gurgling noise, which, well, doesn't sound like a cooler should sound.

It occurs mainly when I turn on my computer.
My computer is about 2 years old.

Is there someone who has the same problem? Or even someone who can tell me how to solve this problem?

    Best regards

    Matthias Mentschel

    Hello

In my opinion, there are two possible reasons why buzz comes from the cooling module.

    (1) the cooling module is clogged and dust and debris to prevent courteous race fans
    (2) the malfunctioning of the cooling module and must be replaced

Well, in both cases, the laptop must be disassembled to check what's exactly wrong.
I see that you are a beginner and I wouldn't recommend open Notepad by yourself.

Ask a technician for laptop to help him avoid further damage of laptop!

    Good luck

  • Cooling module often works on Satellite M100-126

    Hello!

I have a problem with my new computer. It works well, BUT the fan works when the core temperature is about 34 ° C and stops when it comes down to about 30 ° C.

If the fan works and stops quite often especially when I just use Word. So it's a bit noisy and I did not fund any solution to this problem. I tried all the possibilities with the Toshiba energy device but it is always the same.

I would like to have a permanent fan running no stop and go. Do you think that I would have a better result if I update the Bios?

    Thant you for help me.

    Hi Pierre

I think that there are not many things to do
Is the BIOS to control the fans.
The fan table that includes different levels of temperature is stored in the BIOS and this table fan tells how and when the cooling module has to move on.

    > would like to have a permanent fan without stop and go operation. Do you think that I would have a better result if I update the Bios?
I understand you very well, but the update to the BIOS would only change this situation, if the table fan would change too. You can try to update the BIOS but I put t think that the table fan has been changed in the new version.

  • Satellite L505-13F - overheating problem?

    Hello

Nearly a year after the purchase of a Toshiba Satellite L505-13F, I started noticing problems with temperature (it starts goes to 70º, sometimes more, hitting 89º), even had the computer just turned off (not the right way through the windows, instead, in an instant, it's on, the other is off when it hits 90 degrees). I bought a cooling rack to keep the computer at low temperatures, but the position is not so good and temperatures get brought to 60º at best, but does not solve the problem temporarily.

Usually, I have Skype (normally I'm not on a call so the cpu is not dope, but I the ocasional call), msn, irc, have a program to check emails regularly (thunderbird) and have firefox open. Maximum CPU spikes or 32% with all these open (normally this is 9 to 14% or more), so I don't think it's any problem related to the massive processing (but like anything else, sometimes it stings to the largest percentage, but not so much that, nor for as long). I use all these at the same time. Because of the temperature problem, I installed an app to regularly check the State of the system.

The problem is internally in the computer, I guess it's maybe because the fan is stuck or something. I clean the dust when it's time, but it also solves the problem temporarily (I do not open the housing of the computer, however, because it is under warranty and I don't want to void the warranty or break the computer). I would like to find a more permanent solution without having to buy anything else I don't think it's the right solution for the problem.

The computer was purchased in 2010 and the warranty is 2 years, so I guess it's possible to send the computer to fix, but I'm not aware of the procedure of this situation.

After showing the problem, the question is: what are the steps required to check this problem? I have to send the laptop to the store (where I bought it) to send to toshiba or what I need to send it to me?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

PS: I'm an advanced user, I do a lot of things with the computer, but I can survive a few days without computer (maybe: P)

    > As the problem is internal to the computer, I guess that's maybe because the fan is stuck or something. Dust and debris are the main reasons why the laptop overheats. Dust inside the cooling modules prevent fans turn faster which affect the cooling and leads to a higher temperature.
So, as you said; withdrawal of aid of dust that you and this should be made from time to time.

It is a temporal solution for you, you say? Hmm, I do not know how you want to use the laptop is a room free of dust? Only this would prevent the dust of cooling modules.

I have to clean my laptop using a jet of compressed air. This allows and does not affect my warranty.

    welcome them

  • Satellite L505-11F - need to download BIOS 1.80

I've updated my bios to 2.10 a few days ago, everything was fine but now I get video_tdr_failure accidents. It started with Win 10 64 bits as long that play any other games was fine expect some problems of pixel like broken pixels colored on videos, I thought that the problem could be win 10 64-bit. I changed my OS for win 7 32 bit and it is worse, now I can't even use firefox or chrome my videocard just stops after I opened the. I think that it is a bios issue or my video card is dead. Bios to 1.80 change could help but I couldn't find it anywhere, please can you share link to bios Satellite L505 1.80?

I changed my new OS now I use win 10 32 bit and im getting tdr crash if I upgrade my gpu driver, I think it's because the resolution after resolution improved changes in 1366 x 768 and I get tdr crash. While I was with win 7 I was able to put resolution 1366 x 768, but I have not even managed to use firefox, look at the crash of tdr videos insta. At the moment, not a not update my gpu drivers, it is still "Microsoft Basic gpu" so the resolution is 1024 x 768 and I can use all programs or watch videos even full hd, but there are a large number of artifacts. I have no idea of my video card is dead or it's bios problem?

  • Qosmio X 870 has been repaired 3 times - VGA cooling module, 3D,.

I purchased a Qosmio X 870 there's a little more than 12 months (December 2012) and on July 9, 2013 it was returned to Toshiba after I am home and turned the smoke machine find coming from the front right side of the machine. (* service report stating they replaced the VGA card *)

I also previously say that the computer would be go to a purplish monochrome screen then independently turn black to try different drivers again, I could not solve this intermittent and would return to this issue.

After I got the back of the machine 3D wouldn't work.
Yet once on November 6, 2013, I sent the laptop for repairs. Yes I know it was a while before I returned, but I do not very often use 3D and wanted that it fixed before Toshibas 12 months guaranteed missed.
Once more, I received the machine backward (service indicated the 3D cable was replaced and tested ok.)

November 22, 2013 I turned on the machine and not 30 seconds after startup, a message came on the screen indicating that _ * there is a problem with the cooling system please return the Toshiba computer for repair.*_

I fear that the machine was not tested before its release Toshiba

    I understand you very well.
It s always annoyed if the laptop starts to malfunction

It seems that the first fault was linked to the faulty GPU. Well, in this case only a GPU replacement can help solve the problem.

I think that the second question (malfunction 3D) was related to the first question (replacement of the GPU).
I guess that after the replacement of the GPU, the technician forgot to calibrate the 3D sensor.

However, the number 3 (cooling system) may be just a false alert.
Check if the temperature. If the temperature is OK (not too high), it might be
I would recommend you to get the laptop to factory settings just to check if the message still appears.

But in the event that this alert appears again, the cooling module must be replaced.

  • Satellite freezes 4600 Pro for a while

I have a satellite pro 4600 and during operation normal and with out any warning the computer hangs the mouse does not move, numlock won't turn.
And then with any alert the computer will work fine again.

I noticed that the CPU fan is not working at all and never turns on (it helps: p)
So I think it is perhaps that the CPU is heating or something for a long time these lines.

Is there a program that can test the CPU fan or what I can do to fix this?

    Hello

The fan should start to turn and cool devices inside the laptop if the temperature rises to a certain level.
If the cooling module does not work then it s very risky and not advisable to use the laptop! The processor and/or motherboard can damage!

Usually, you don t need to install additional applications to control the use of the fan.
The Toshiba laptop uses a Toshiba saver that controls the CPU and cooling for example method.

Without this software, but also the cooling module should work! So if you think fans don t work properly you must contact the guys from technician to control the laptop!
