  Try resetting the USB ports. This means that you need to remove the USB ports/hubs/controllers in Device Manager.
  Then, you have to restart the laptop to get new USB ports.
  In my case it has worked.

  By the way; I recommend upgrading the chipset driver and disable the feature for each energy-saving usb port.
  This can be done in the Device Manager-> port USB-> properties-> tab to save energy

  If you start Ubuntu from a disk or a USB key, you can test if your hardware is compatible or not. All the drivers that you will need to collect yourself because there is no official support for Linux from Toshiba.

  Do you run applications while running one of the cooling modules?
  Please don t forget that the graphics card and the CPU must be cooled properly.
