Satellite L505 - it come with disc of Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit?

I had a computer Satellite L505 with * preinstalled * version Windows 7 64-bit and a 32-bit product recovery disc. I didn't create a backup of a 64-bit version and reinstalled the system since the provided 32-bit recovery disc erase my HD. However, I would like to reinstall the verision of 64-bit Windows 7. I know I can order a backup media on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/ but it says not version (64-bit or 32-bit) wich are mailed directly to me.

If I check the description of the model on the Toshiba page, it says that it comes with the 64-bit version and includes the 32-bit recovery disc. This description still leaves me a question what backup media I'd get Toshiba. I have to be sure that I get the 64-bit WIndows 7 until I have order a.

I'd appreciate a confimation. Thank you!

Hey Buddy,

I think everything is ok and there is no open question. The description on the Toshiba site says it all: the laptop comes with the 64-bit Windows 7 version, which means that this version is preinstalled on your computer. Additional, you get a version 32-bit on a recovery disc and that s all!

So you didn't burn the 64-bit recovery disc, which means you must order a new one from Toshiba. I guess you will get versions then 32-bit and 64-bit.

    Hello, I have a question.

I bought a Satellite L505 - 10 k a month ago. It came with Windows 7 x 64, 3 partitions (I don't know why, 3? seriously?). I tried to install Linux, delete the last partition, called 'Data' and I screw them completely. I used the recovery DVDs to bring the phone to default settings and I discovered the system recover is Windows 7 x 32.

No idea why the systems are different?

It's just a minor issue, I guess, the only bad thing is that the x 32 system recognizes not the 4 GB of RAM. I use now only 3 GB of RAM.

    Hi Cabo_Nobbdy,

I think you should check your user manual and the specificaitions of your laptop first before starting a question. I founded the following information:
    + Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery) and Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - bit (Toshiba-Recovery DVD) +.

Satellite a300/y00 come with s-video output port?
Where can buy the cable to this port, or I can buy anywhere or buy from toshiba dealer?

    Hello

This seems to be an Australian series for Toshiba laptop so it was designed for the Australian market. I'm not very well if this series of portable supports the m s-video output port.
The point is that there are different models A300 and the s-video output port has not been installed in all mobile phones of the A300.
I found a manual and it says that the s-video, put it port depends on the model you have purchased.

Usually, it should be placed on the left side between the vents and the output HDMI port. Check it out.
If there is no s-video output port then the laptop does not support it.

To activate the controller sata AHCI mode in BIOS, try to download and install Storage Manager.
The SMBus Controller is part of the Intel chipset that monitors the temperature and voltage card of your system. Install the chipset driver for this problem. Have a look here:

  • Reinstalling windows 7 on a laptop comes with pre-installed windows

I bought my Dell XPS two or three years, and it came with a preinstalled version of Windows 7 64-bit. I would now like to format and perform a new installation of the same version of Windows.

I already have a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc (tested on an old machine server and that market), I wrote down the product ID (found in the computer-> properties-> Windows activation), which looks like xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx, and also, using a few different 3rd party programs Magic Jelly Bean, ProduKey, Belarc), I found my product key, which looks like xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

These two will be enough to activate my Windows after I have format my computer? Can I first of all turn off somewhere before formatting to release the license?

I received my DVD of a link provided by a moderator on this forum (there was a link to msft.digitalrivercontent.net).

I already have a backup system full (using the backup and restore of windows tool) on an external drive in case something goes wrong and am currently backing up my personal data as well as the basic driver.

I find the COA sticker on the underside of my laptop, so I hope that I now have the correct product key.

Thank you very much for the help!

    You are welcome.

  • Brand new laptop does not come with disks of windows, I need to reinstall windows what/where/how do I?

I bought 2 new laptops. Both come with Windows already... so, if I need to reinstall windows... How/where/can do?

    Hello

For future reference, these are VISTA forums you want on the new laptops in.

I suggest other questions about these laptops you ask in the correct Forums.

Here are the General options of relocation for you:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

    See you soon.

    Hey,.

After installing Windows 7 have installed all of the important drivers that you can find?

Your model of laptop is an American model, and so you can find all the drivers on the Toshiba U.S. page tools:

  • Satellite A660 - 17 M - need drivers for Windows 7 32 bit

    Dear all

I just brought a new Toshiba Satellite A660 - 17 M in Egypt and I installed windows 7 32-bit on it to support my company work, but I could find the drivers for it on the website and many material options does not specially the extra package, please help me!
is it possible that I can install it or fix it?

    Hey Buddy,

The problem is that most of the new laptops don't support windows 7 64 bit because they come with 4 GB or more RAM capacity and 32-bit support only up to 3.2 GB.

I think you should search the drivers yourself. Just check out some similar Toshiba models, they support Windows 7 32 bit. As much as I know Satellite L500 provides 32-bit drivers Windows 7 and tools where you can also get value-added package for example.

If you find all the drivers of the comments would be great. :)

  • Re: Satellite A200 - 1 3 (PSAE6) - VAP for Windows 7 64 bit

I got the BIOS 2.50 - WIN64 installed and did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 successfully. A ran Toshiba Software Installer for Windows 7 which installed the VAP and other drivers. Everything worked perfectly.

Yesterday I updated the BIOS to version 2.60 - WIN64 and from memory card Flash not working more. Uninstalled VAP and run TSI4WIN7 and now it shows this message:
"This device is not manufactured by Toshiba or the BIOS is not compatible with Windows 7. No update will take place. »

Where can I get PPV for Windows 7 64? I have tryied VAP several other model but without success.

    Thank you.

    Hello

First of all, I doubt that the BIOS update may solve the problem with your FN keys. It is only related to the value-added Package and Flash Cards Support utility.

VAP and utility of Support of Flash Cards you can download for Windows 7 64 bit if you are looking for e.g. by Satellite L500. They have also worked for me:
