Satellite L510-030 - no sound on speakers, headphones only

Hello

I bought the Toshiba Satellite L510/030 portable (nine) electronics smith today. I played a little with her several times and its sound worked perfectly through my speakers and headphones but all of a sudden it stopped working through my speakers (but I could still hear it through my headphones) and when I check my sound card it says it's working properly.

I don't understand - what happened? What have I done? I just installed itunes and it said some sort of warning on something toshiba needing to be reinstalled.

I don't know how it happened.

Please help me.

Hello

What happens if you disconnect your headset? Normally, then you should hear the sound on the speakers to laptop again.

  • Satellite Pro U200 - no sound via the headphones or the speakers on Windows 7

    Hello everyone,

In desperate need of help! Tried running Windows 7 RC on my U200, all beautiful, but the sound just will not work.
The system detects the soundcard no problem, I also get a peak in the 7sound control Windows, but there is simply no sound through headphones or speakers. I tried to run the Vista drivers from the Toshiba site, but they do not work either.

Does anyone know if toshiba must support the U200 under Windows 7?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello!

If your sound card is properly listed in Device Manager to make sure that his isn't muted. Check it!

In addition, I can recommend try the drivers from the Toshiba page Windows 7 beta we. Maybe they will work for you:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com

In the worst case, you will need to go back to Windows Vista.

  • Satellite M50-130: no sound from speakers but helmet works well

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Harmon/Kardon speakers, using the Realtek AC97 Audio sound card. For some reason there is no sound coming out of laptop speakers, but when I connect earphones I get the sound perfectly fine, if clearly is not a volume control number. Device Manager indicates that the sound card works fine.

I tried the system restore, and it does not work. Can someone help me please?

    Thank you! :)

What s the name of the laptop?

Looks a bit like a problem with the speakers for laptop
The graphics card and the audio driver works very well if the sound is coming through the headphones.

In this case, the technician should be contacted because everything looks like a hardware problem.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L30-134 no sound through speakers using Win XP SP3

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L30-134.

I just replaced the card mother and re-installed XP Home SP3.

Everything is working great except the sound.
It works through the headphone jack, but not the internal speakers.

I tried new drivers from Realtek, Toshiba drivers, but still no joy.

    Can anyone help?

    See you soon

    rkid5846

Have you replaced it one or it was done by the authorized service provider?
Is replaced mainboard new or used?

Sorry to ask this, but all this story is incredible. Speakers don t work but with a helmet, there is no problem. I put t have this model of laptop, but somewhere I saw similar thread and I believe in Realtek Sound settings (Control Panel) you can enable/disable headphone and speakers separately. Check under options Audio i/o.

    Maybe you'll find it.

  • My Satellite L30-101/XP sound comes from headphones but not pregnant

I have a black XP newly installed on my system and installed everything except the sound does not come from the speakers but when I use headphones sound works perfectly. I thought it was problem with XP, so I then installed Vista but still the same problem.

Then I went back to XP because I'm more comfortable with it.

    PLS HELP >

Hmm. Maybe there is something wrong with the speaker system?
I mean if you can hear the sound using headphones then your sound driver and sound card should work properly.

Did you also check the settings in Realtek HD audio Manager?
On the right, you can find the settings for the helmet. Please check what options is enabled or disabled.

  • B120, no sound from speakers, headphones ok.

Got a B120 with XP and SP2 re-installed.  I have no sound from the internal speakers, but the headphone jack works fine.  The speakers work (checked with Dell Diagnostics); played well from there, every time.  Side note - Ubuntu 8.04 live no longer had his No.

Sometimes I get a notification of the popup of Sigmatel (something about and audio event this - as I plug something at one of the outlets when I did not.)  I usually just select 'status quo '.

I've scoured the forums and read posts on installing drivers in the correct order.  I tried to uninstall the drivers and related software files so I could continue on their relocation in order.  But, what is happening on the re-start, is that it starts automatically install hardware "found," so I don't get to put them in the order I want. How could avoid this or how do I UN-install/reinstall drivers more effectively.

When I look in the hardware Manager, everyting seems to be good... except that I get no sound from the speakers.  Sigmatel hardware is selected, sliders are at midway up, nothing is muted, select a system of his event and he seems to play but without sound.

Any help would be appreciated.  Just half a hair to pull to the left. : smileysurprised:

    can you help me please?

    1. open the Device Manager and right click on Realtek High Definition Audio.

2 Select this option to "Update driver software".

    3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

    4. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".

    5. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.

    6. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio'.

    7, click on "next".

    8. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).

Install the native driver. Immediately test the headphones/speakers.

If the list of drivers to step 6 do not include "High Definition Audio" then please use the Windows system restore. It is quite safe to use because if you don't like the results, you can undo the restore operation.

  • Satellite L500 - the sound coming from headphones and speakers

    Hello world

My problem is about sound.when I put the headphones in my laptop, the sound just two headphones and speakers.
How can I solve this problem? If can't, I can't use my laptop in attendance.

    Hey,.

What OS is currently installed on your computer?

Is the headset itself works because you can listen to the sound with headphones so for now I doubt s a hardware problem

In any case, perhaps the problem is only linked to its driver and updated it could solve the problem in your case, I would check the Web from Toshiba site to download the latest version.

  • NO sound from speakers or headphones

    HP ENVY 15-3033cl laptop PC

    Windows 7 64 bit

no error message, I was watching a movie when my laptop died. I plugged it into the power source and now there is no sound from speakers or headphones when I plug. I already went through the troubleshooting steps sound but it says there is no problem detected by the device. The computer is still failry new less than a year, but lies outside of the 90 day warranty. Help please.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56900.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop and perform a "Hard Reset" for your model, as described in the document of HP here.

One when you're done, press next to the key ESC that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • Whenever I start a call all the sound through speakers instead of headphones...

Unless I go to Tools>Options>Audio Settings>speakers>Communications helmet I will be able to hear Skype with ordinary headphones only. Unfortunately, all other sounds such as games and Youtube videos are through speakers.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dm4 3055dx, I bought last year so it is still in good condition.

I tried to change the Settings Audio>speakers>speakers and headphones , but that has not worked. This problem occurs yesterday after Skype update.

Furthermore, I checked my laptop for updates, and everything is updated. I uninstalled and reinstalled Skype. The problem still occurs.

I made a mistake. Laughing out loud

Here's how I found the solution:

I right click on the audio icon in the taskbar next to my time. I went to "Playback devices" then I saw 'Speakers and headphones' and 'helmet of Communication '. I clicked on 'Speakers and headphones' then I clicked "Set as default". I left it like this:

    Help!

    Hello

If after checking the sound settings package (Panel, controller next to the laptop, etc.) the sound doesn't come out so I guess that the sound card on the Board is dead.
In this case only the ASP will help you solve the problem. Maybe the motherboard must be changed.

    Hi kathrynpelling,

    ·         Do you mean that you hear only through the headphones?

Method 1: If so, then check if the laptop speakers are set by default.

    a. click on start and then Control Panel.

    b. double-click on sounds and Audio devices.

    c. click on the Audio tab.

    d. make sure that you select the speakers from the laptop as default device in audio playback.

    e. do the same under the voice tab click OK.

Method 2: Run automated troubleshooting and check if it helps.

Diagnose and automatically repair audio playback problems
