  Yesterday bought a Satellite L650-12 q. I'm happy but I listen to a lot of music on my laptop with headphones. It is through several types of music - my mp3s, youtube clips, etc. The only thing that was really 'central' is a track that is practically mono (if not actually mono). I listened to the same track on my old laptop on my mp3 player (with the headphones even) and there is certainly a change in the left earpiece.

  When you play certain games, videos (720 p - quality) and sometimes videos from sites (like youtube) after a few minutes of play, sometimes the image on the screen freezes / frame rate cuts, and I can hear a crackling sound (similar to the noise when you plug the headphones) in the speakers.
  It takes a few seconds, 2 to 5 seconds depending on whether or not I stop the movie or I pause the game.

  I n t have Satellite C650 so I can t test it for you but you have ever tried to update the audio driver? You can download the latest version of Toshiba's official website:

  Before you install the latest driver, first remove the old version and restart the computer. Then use CCleaner to remove old audio driver registry keys and restart the computer. Now you can install the latest version of the sound driver.

  In addition, it would be interesting to know if you are using Windows 7 preinstalled Toshiba or if you did your own installation of Windows.

  As already written, I m not owner of such a laptop but maybe a BIOS update would also be useful. It s worth a try! ;)
