Satellite L650 - 10 h - new install of Win7 can't see HDD

Hello!

I have the Satellite L650 - 10H and I want to format it to install WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE.
So I tried to format and do a new partition on my hard drive and I used acronis Disk Director 11 and may not see the hard drive!
Same magic 8 partition or server paragon 10 and no software can see the hard drive!

In the same way, I tried to make an image on my hard drive and acronis true image 2010 do not.
Only GHOST15 see the hard drive and make an image, but it can change partitions.

In the bios I've seen something that maby can do to this problem and in the drivers I have found no update of the bios on this situation.

important to know that I used acronis disk Director from a boot able disk and paragon Yes and others, but even if some software have the problem with a hard drive, the other read him but here no budy can see!

so I'm askink what is problem? something in this laptop is different from the others I'm know.what is the sulotion for this problem?

pls help your young

Thank you

Ofek

Hello

> important to know I used Director a boot able disk drive acronis and paragon

Hmmm... Also, I use the paragon 10 Server to create partitions. But why are you trying to create a startup disk? Install the server paragon 10 on your computer, and then make the best partition size.

    Hello

First of all I don't know why would you refrain from ODD... I always use ODD and it fail...

Well, some laptops as Tecra has supported this feature.
For that you need a special envelope where the HARD drive is placed.
This Chamber was placed in the Bay of ODD.

But I m not very well if L650 model that would support personally I doubt it would work because of the controller on the motherboard.

However, if you want to be safe, I would recommend an ASP in your country you asking if a compatible box be available satellite L650.

  • 2.04 Ubuntu comments on VMware Workstation 9 under Win7 can't see ext4 USB drive

Comments from 2.04 Ubuntu on VMware Workstation 9 under Win7: on computer A trivially, I connected to an out-of-the-box 64 GB USB drive formatted for VFAT on Ubuntu in a VM. I re-init'ed the player for ext4 (mkfs.ext4), mounted, drop a bunch of stuff on him (which took awhile), he dismounted and walked away. The next day, identically configured computer B, I inserted the USB key. Natch, Win7 may not go up because it does not ext4. But Ubuntu don't see either, so I can't be installed. Do not see under removable devices, no small icon bottom left of the screen of VMware, nothing in the settings menus or properties, etc. I think it's just me being a noob to VMware, but it seems that Ubuntu under VMware Workstation 9 cannot see the drive unless Win7 can go up. Seems unlikely. KB searching, Googling, etc. produce many unrelated things. Ideas? AdvTHANKSance.

Here is the final answer: works great on an earlier version of VMware Workstation 9 on one of the Windows 7 of my client machines, it didn't work on my Windows 7 computer. I upgraded to VMware Workstation 10 on my Windows 7 computer, and now it works perfectly. If I call you this a bug in this version later 9 which was set at 10. Could also be had I simply uninstalled 9 and reinstalled which would have fixed it too. But I'll never know.

I never had the recovery discs, so I clean installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, twice in the space of 3 days, because every time, Windows Update will not work. SP1 is already installed on your Windows 7 system?
Otherwise, you can download this from here:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/w...Service-Pack-1

Otherwise I recommend checking the knowledge base of MS Windows 7 update issues.

You do not have "use the image of Toshiba and so it's no problem for laptop Toshiba but system problem."

  • Re: New install of Win7 on Equium P200

    Hello

I used Windows 7 on my Toshiba Equium P200 IED for a few months now, it's great actually, but I couldn't until now installed the Toshiba drivers recommended, however, I helped my brother to install Win7 on her Sony Vaio and I had to download all the drivers.

I installed them after a lot of noise with success. However, they were to be installed in a particular order, it was essential, otherwise they would not install / or work. I decided to re - format my satellite again, this time, I hope to be able to install all the drivers recommended etc. My only concern is that if they also have to be installed in a specific order, if so could you please help me in this task.

    Thank you very much.

Order of the facilities is very important and all drivers Toshiba, tools and utilities must be installed in the order of good facilities. The order is enough even for Vista and Win7, so I recommend you to visit the Toshiba download page and download the Installations Instructions for Vista.

Follow this order, and I think everything will be OK. Is it missing some drivers Win7 install Vista drivers. I did the same thing on my Satellite A300.

  • Satellite L650 - 10 d - cannot install a graphics driver

    Hello

I just spend most of the day trying to get this laptop to use the appropriate resolution. History:
The HARD drive failed and I had to get a new one. I downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium and everything installed from scratch on a new HARD drive. The serial number on the back of the machine worked fine with windows (thankfully).

After downloading a large number of drivers from the Web from Toshiba site, I was working all except the display. Currently uses windows: "Standard VGA graphics driver" who can't go furher then 1024 x 768, very annoying.

    Steps, I tried:
    (1) I downloaded "tc70077100m" AMD driver on the site.
Installation of the graphics card ATI Catalyst went thru, but the drivers have not been changed.

    (2) double click on "tinstall" or "tinstallwb" in the directories of unzipped driver resolves to briefly see the icon on the taskbar after which leaves the installer, nothing else, no error. Very professional...

    (3) I tried to update the driver manually by using the pointing device manager directly to the package file. First I started warning that the driver is not compatible, but I forced to continue. I took "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650". Installation could not say that my version of Windows is not compatible.

    (4) I also tried to download the drivers from the ATI site, which failed whenever my software/hardware is not compatible.

    (5) I also tried to download the drivers for the other notebook L650 (Intel ones) has no incompatibility.

Please advice how can you install graphic driver on this device. I'm not after the games, I would just get a reasonable resolution.

    Concerning

    Hi kotatko,.

Your laptop is equipped with ATI graphics so as Intel, other display drivers will not work. You need to install the official page of Toshiba display driver:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

With the display driver installation before you begin that * chipset driver * is installed. The chipset driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba page too.

Can I ask you why you n t use the Toshiba Recovery with all the drivers and tools disk which is more comfortable?

  • missing cd/dvd drivers on the new install of win7

I have a HP Pavillion H8-1230.  Replaced the hard drive with a new 2 to Seagate.  Tried to make a new, clean installation of Windows 7 Pro but I get an error that says: "a required cd/dvd device driver is missing."  I always thought that basic device drivers have been included in Windows, but I guess I'm wrong.  I can't find this driver anywhere.  My CD/DVD-rom is a DVD SuperMulti of HP GH60L burner. Can someone please help?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Using another PC, download driver RAID on the following link.

Storage controller driver - Windows 7 32 bit.

Storage controller driver - Windows 7 64 bit.

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Please note that If you have a 64-bit installation, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Then, right click on the storage controller installation program you download, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files, and then click Ok.  Copy this file "extract" at the root of a USB or a blank CD key.

When you get to install error message, plug the USB (if you used a CD, remove the installation disc and insert the CD), and then select the option 'Load the Drivers' - navigate to the location on the CD/USB and load the driver.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L650-S5096 - error when installing recovery

My brother ordered me this laptop online from Best Buy for my Christmas present in Dec.2010. After I opened and he started upward, I did then the system backup disc as it was told to do. I showed that I needed to 4 discs for back to the top after the fourth disc, he said that it was over. OK, so now I know that I've saved it in addition to the recovery partition also.

So, last month, I wanted to do a restore of the system on this laptop. So I pulled out the 4 disks and put in the first and he did his thing and then asked for the 2nd and so on. Then after the fourth was done he said to put in the next disc, but I don't have a fifth backup drive. He had me only use 4 when I got it to save.

And then abandoned on the problem of disk and restarted and I got to the recovery partition. So after that I started the process by clicking ok for all the warnings about everything will be deleated I arrived at the first installation process, then after five minutes, he went to the next process where it says "Copy files" and after 30 seconds or so, a box appears asking to insert the next disc.

So I called Toshiba and talked about using technology, and they told me to unplug everything on the laptop and then turn it over and remove the battery for a minute. And then reconnect the power cord and then put the battery in and turn on the computer.
So after she started upward he went to the BIG WARNING page on everything will be lost and deleated so I cliked next and next through the next coupld of no, then it poped an error message that says (error: F3-F200-0002).

After repeating the process a few times the same thing continues to be. So when I talked to Jasmine on 11/06/2011 from technical support, she told me I can call Monday 13 and ask for the case manager and that she would approve that they send me a recovery disk free presence that is the disk does not copy at the moment where I followed it there Backup Wizard and he recovery partition is messed up. So I called the case manager today, and Doug told me that I have to pay to get the recovery disk.

In my view, it's very bad customer service and I will never buy another thing from Toshiba again. And I will make all my colleagues and friends know that I went thru with this laptop...

    Hello

I always was pleased the service in my country.
However, I think you had some bad luck with the recovery procedure
In my case, I was able to create the successfully recovery disk and everything was ok I ve also recovered the laptop once using the recovery of HARD drive and it worked too

However, new recovery disc can be ordered here: http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
It s not expensive: 30 Euros

  • Satellite L650 - 15G - 4 GB installed but usable 3.87 GB

    Hello

I hope someone out there can help me out. I bought the laptop mentioned above over the weekend. Memory std for this machine configuration is 3 GB of RAM, noticing that he had x 64 version of Windows, I went out and bought a 2 GB to bump up to 4 GB memory module. The machine, set up and checked the memory in system properties, it says 4 GB installed 3.87 GB usable. On further investigation, I found that 137MB of RAM was material reserved.

Is there anyway that I can get this comprehensive performance 4 GB RAM and back?

    Help, please.

    Hello

The small part of the main memory is locked by the graphics card.
GPU shares a small amount of RAM main. This is controlled automatically by driver graphics card, so you cannot modify it manually.
